“Sarah was wonderful!!! She was extremely communicative the entire time we were away and sent me a ton of pictures everyday. She made sure our dog Frank felt right at home and had other friendly dogs to play with, which he loved! It was truly a puppy vacation for him. I would definitely book Sarah again!!”

“Deangelo watched my dog for a night last minute and was extremely responsive and kind! Sent lots of pictures and took very good care of him. Would definitely recommend!”

“I was a last minute booking and Chelsea made it happen! My cat was a little stressed from the transition into a new space, but Chelsea was patient and updated me with photos. Would book again!”

“We are so pleased with Nickey's care of our dog. Ladybug made herself at home right away, and Nickey lavished her with attention and love. It was great to get pictures and a video to show us how Ladybug was doing. We feel very fortunate to have found Nickey and have already scheduled with her for our next time away. She's wonderful!”

“As always, Logan delivered the most stellar care we could ever imagine. She provided Bentley with constant enrichment and love. She shared with us her plethora of holistic knowledge for some common ailments and even sent us home with some of her salves, herbs, and goodies. We are indebted to Logan forever for being hands down the best dog caregiver around. Thank you for all you do for the furry friends lucky enough to experience your love and care. One million out of one million star review every single time ♥️♥️♥️”

“Mounica took great care of our dog, Mikko. She sent consistent updates and they gave him regular walks and time outside to play! She even baked special Christmas dog treats for the few dogs they had over that time. We would book with her and her family again anytime! Thank you Mounica for the great care! We appreciate you!”

“Rosa and Jacob took such great care of Dory! Taking her to the vet and giving her medication. Thank you so much for sending me videos and pictures to update me. Will definitely use them again!”

“Jenny is amazing. I have left my shi-tzu with her several times and always had prompt communication, and pet came back very happy. I can tell her family loves animals and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my pup with her again!”

“Shay did a great job with our 2 little girls. She kept in touch with good communication and pictures to let us know that our pups were doing well. She made sure they were safe and loved on. It was our first time using Rover, but she calmed our nerves and we would definitely have her watch out fur babies in the future.”

“Tammy was great! This was our first time leaving our new puppy with a sitter. We were nervous as she timid, reactive and has not had a lot of exposure to the world. On top of that she has a very sensitive stomach. It takes very little ( new treats, food, or stress) to cause her to have diarrhea. Tammy knew how to introduce Chelsea to her dogs with minimal reactions and drama. Chelsea got to spend a week playing with other dogs and adapted well to the pack. Best of all no diarrhea! Thank you Tammy for a great experience.”

“Bruno absolutely loved his stay with Sukanya! Even at the meet and greet I immediately knew he would be so loved and cared for. Sukanya was so nice and fast with replies and sent the cutest pictures/videos of Bruno everyday. I will definitely be booking Sukanya for all my future stays!”

“Anna was amazing! She was great at communicating, flexible, and we really appreciated that she was able to accommodate our pup last minute. Our dog felt right at home.”

“I can not say enough positive and awesome things. Ryder was in the best of hands and Genevieve is amazing. She sent pictures and kept in touch and I can tell Ryder was at home. She loved him like her own and that's important to me. Will be back for sure!”

“Butters had a great time with Christel and her family. She was a pretty nervous pup at first but Christel took the time to get her acclimated and comfortable with everyone and then made sure we had plenty of pics and updates to put our minds at ease. Will definitely be rebooking :)”

“Craig was a fantastic dog sitter for our lively 8 yr old Corgi. Communication was quick, he sent us plenty of photos and overall a 10/10 experience. Will definitely use Craig again.”

“Our puppy absolutely loved being with Janelle, Travis, and family! We felt totally comfortable the minute we walked into our meet and greet and he didn’t seem to want to leave when we picked him up after our vacation. We have a 10 month old, high energy German Shepherd and they brought him in as their own. We will be booking with them again in the future!”

“Amazing family!! Highly recommend. Our dog is very needy, but seeing pictures he was taken care of like a family member and always got love and cuddles he so wants. Definitely will be a repeat customer.”

“Amy is a fantastic dog sitter. She continues to take amazing care of my dog who is dog aggressive and suffers from separation anxiety! Amy goes out of her way to ensure Lucy is comfortable and gets extra lives!”

Logan is BY FAR our favorite! Zoey absolutely loved her time there and the peace of mind our family had knowing the care and attention Logan gives all of her furry friends made leaving our sweet pup so much easier. Highly recommended and will be rebooking for sure. Thank you so much Logan! We appreciate you so much! I’d leave 100 stars if I could!

Amazing! I had to do a last minute trip for a funeral. It had been a while since we had boarded our dog and she made all our nervousness disappear. Great communication, sent pictures and updates regularly to where we could focus on the trip. I loved seeing picture updates where I could see how happy and relaxed Sam was. Would definitely use again and highly recommend!

Stella did an excellent job taking care of my dog. She communicated well and was flexible with the timing for drop off and pick up. She sent good pictures and my dog seemed comfortable. When I picked him up he was healthy and happy! I would definitely recommend her.

Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily. She is an amazing dog Walker and pet sitter when my daughter has to leave her dog with me for week sometimesEmily is more than accommodating in adding an additional dog. When I have to leave town, I never worry about my pets. I know they are well cared for by Emily and her family that they love them as much as I do. I am so lucky to have found her

Teresa and Joe are such gems. They were eager to learn all about our new dog so they could make her stay easy and comfortable. They adopted our routine and sent regular updates while we were away. They are quick to respond and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend them!

I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She kept me very frequently updated on my kitten, which gave me so much peace of mind. She was incredibly understanding and accommodating, and truly made my kitten feel like he was on his own little vacation. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
