“Sarah is a great dog sitter and we’re beyond happy with how well she takes care of our dog Chance. You can tell how happy and active he is in the pictures she shares with us during his stays, and it’s great having the reassurance he’s well taken care of. She’s definitely a go to sitter for us and we’re glad we found her! Highly recommended!”

“Fiona had another great stay with John. He’s meticulous about taking care of her and sending us updates. She comes home happily exhausted from playing the days away.”

“Morgan took our baby on a wonderful hike and out birdwatching. Nina is always so calm and relaxed whenever we pick her up, thank you so much for taking care of our baby!”

“It is always a blessing to have Riitta watch Chewie. I love all the pictures she sends me and lets me know Chewie is having a great time. We will continue to have her watch Chewie whenever we are out of town.”

“Absolutely stellar service! Never came short with updates and photos about our baby while we were away. Will definitely rebook again without any hesitation. Thank you!”

“Addy had such a great visit with Bethany! She came home happy and we loved the updates. Knowing she was having a great time and was well cared for gave us the space to relax and enjoy our trip!”

“Rebecca was an amazing sitter for my golden!! Bentley came home happy as a clam and nice and worn out ( for probably the next 2-5 business days), she updated me with adorable photos and kept me in the loop with any important info! Her goldens are such good playmates and I would trust her with my boy any day. Thank you again!!”

“Jenny made our dogs feel so at home and gave updates to us while we were away. Leaving for 2 weeks internationally took alot of trust in those caring for our dogs. Jenny went over and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our vacation and didn't have to worry about our dogs. From enrichment activities, to walks, to cuddles, - our dogs couldn't have had it better. We would 100% have Jenny care for our dogs again. Thanks Jenny!”

“Great experience! This was the first time leaving our lab with anyone and we were nervous. April exceeded all our expectations and our dog was happy the whole time! Loved the daily picture or videos she sends as well.”

About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. I am married and may request my spouse be allowed to stay with me or drop by in longer term sitting situations. Whether it’s a walk or a week together I’ll try to treat your pet with the same care and attention you would. Allowing you to feel comfortable while you are away. As a pet sitter I try not to disrupt your furry family member’s typical schedule as much as possible. Pet care is very individual so I try to conform to what that pet is familiar with to minimize anxiety for them, while making sure their basic needs are met.
“Sarah is wonderful. Her updates & photos bring so much comfort and ease in leaving your furry BFF in her care. She treats them like her own. Farrah LOVED her sleepovers! She was safe, fed and loved.”

“Emily and fam were amazing pet sitters! I had my cat and dog (Biscuit and Mango) stay at their beautiful place. They accepted my booking quickly and kept in regular contact. They had a large backyard and took Mango out to play often. I felt really secure in leaving my pets there for an extended 4 day stay and highly recommend anyone to book with them!”

“Where do I start? Communication, love, attention and reassurance- we got it all with leaving our two dogs with Nickey. One dog is a tripod but that didn’t seem to matter at all - he got the same attention and love as the other. I never felt like I didn’t know what was happening or how they were being treated. They both came home tired and happy. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Nickey loves my dogs just as much as we do and that has no price and peace of mind.”

“Cynthia was great in looking after our pup! She had him for almost a full week and sent us consistent pictures and messages; very communicative overall, which we appreciated. We felt assured that our pup was having just as good of a vacation as us! Will definitely come back to Cynthia for our next trip.”

“Britt really took such good care of my dog, Archie! She was very communicative and eased my mind when it came to using a Rover. This was my first experience and I can’t thank her enough for the patience and care she gave my little guy. She really does treat your dog like they are one of hers. We will definitely be using again if we are in need.”

“Theresa went above and beyond taking care of my dog. Shes very communicative and genuine. My dog was sick while staying with her and she was on top of it! Will definitely continue to reach to her for care in the future!”

“We recently had the pleasure of leaving our dog, Derek, with Sarah and her lovely family for the second time, and we couldn't be happier! From the moment we dropped him off, it was clear that he was in great hands. Sarah showered him with love and attention, making sure he felt right at home. Sarah's communication was fantastic; she kept us updated with photos and messages, which truly put our minds at ease while we were away. It's evident that she has a genuine passion for caring for dogs, and Derek absolutely adored his time with her. He came back to us happy and well-cared for, which speaks volumes about Sarah and her family's dedication. We highly recommend Sarah as a dog sitter! Her warmth, attentiveness, and enthusiasm for animals make her the perfect choice for anyone looking to ensure their furry friends receive the best care possible. Thank you, Sarah, for making Derek’s stay so wonderful. We look forward to our next visit!”

“Kira is an amazing boarder! We are so lucky she looked after our anxious pup. She is prepared for everything and we were so impressed with her knowledge and patience when taking care of our dog. Definitely will use her again and would recommend her to those of you with dogs that need to be boarded alone or need a little extra attention.”

Lyah was wonderful and so sweet. She sent so many pictures and videos of Truie everyday about the adventures they were having. Truie had a wonderful friend (Lyah’s dog) to play with as well. She bathed Truie and sent her home clean and beautiful. Would recommend and will definitely use her again in the future.

Suzanne and her husband took wonderful care of Ryder while I was away. They made him feel right at home, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that he was comfortable, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. Suzanne was a great communicator throughout his stay, and I really appreciated the thoughtful updates each day. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing Ryder was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Suzanne again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Logan is BY FAR our favorite! Zoey absolutely loved her time there and the peace of mind our family had knowing the care and attention Logan gives all of her furry friends made leaving our sweet pup so much easier. Highly recommended and will be rebooking for sure. Thank you so much Logan! We appreciate you so much! I’d leave 100 stars if I could!

Amazing! I had to do a last minute trip for a funeral. It had been a while since we had boarded our dog and she made all our nervousness disappear. Great communication, sent pictures and updates regularly to where we could focus on the trip. I loved seeing picture updates where I could see how happy and relaxed Sam was. Would definitely use again and highly recommend!

Stella did an excellent job taking care of my dog. She communicated well and was flexible with the timing for drop off and pick up. She sent good pictures and my dog seemed comfortable. When I picked him up he was healthy and happy! I would definitely recommend her.

Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily. She is an amazing dog Walker and pet sitter when my daughter has to leave her dog with me for week sometimesEmily is more than accommodating in adding an additional dog. When I have to leave town, I never worry about my pets. I know they are well cared for by Emily and her family that they love them as much as I do. I am so lucky to have found her

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
