About: I’ve dog and cat sit around the Island Country area for about a year. I’m very good with animals and keeping you updated on how things are going around the house while you’re away. :) I work during the day so I have evenings and mornings free to come check in, feed and play with your pets. About: I have loved animals my whole life and have several years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs. I spent 6 years training and competing in 4-H with my Yorkie, Milly, and we competed at the state level multiple times, which gave me a really strong foundation in dog handling, training, and patience. Beyond that, I have experience dog and house sitting for friends and neighbors, including walking, feeding, bathing, playing with, and caring for their pets. What also sets me apart is that I have now worked with sled dogs for the past two winters, including at Denali National Park. That experience has made me very comfortable handling high-energy dogs, sticking to routines, reading animal behavior, and providing attentive care in all kinds of conditions. I am confident working with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, exercised, and well cared for. I always use leashes in public spaces unless otherwise directed, and I stay very aware of other dogs, cars, people, and anything else that could become a hazard. I keep a calm, attentive demeanor around animals and try to make them feel secure and comfortable. In a client’s home, I would be respectful of their routines, rules, and space, and I am happy to adjust walks, playtime, and care based on each pet’s age, energy level, and personality.

About: I grew up in a household full of cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and fish. My first pet as a wee one was a Tarantula name Suzie. Since moving to Whidbey Island 11 years ago I have worked professionally to care for animals on a number of levels from Dog Runner to Veterinarian Technician. Though I don't have any fur-babies currently, my husband and I heartbreakingly lost our two beloved fur-kids to cancer since moving here - a Husky mix and a Pitbull mix, I still find joy in caring for others' pets. From cuddles & cookies (if diet allows) to exercise & basic training (if warranted and wanted) I am here for you and your beloved pet. I can also administer medications if needed. I am primarily offering dog walking and drops-ins at this time. I am open to discuss any house sitting needs, if my schedule is open to accommodate them. About: Grew up with dogs, always gravitate to them. Volunteered at a rescue shelter for years. Recently landed on Whidbey Island and looking to help out the local pups in need of some care! Very flexible schedule. Moved to Whidbey Island without many commitments to start so I have plenty of time to commit to walks and doggo care. Each dog and owner have different histories, tendencies and needs. It’s important to build trust and rapport with a dog in order to best serve a dog while the owner is away. About: I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life, and during Covid—when I was working from home rather than at UW—I became a foster dog mom, which I loved. I retired in January and now happily spend much of my time in my art studio. Alas, there are no pets in my life at the moment, so I’d love the chance to be with yours! I especially enjoy the companionship of animals and the ordinary, unhurried time that comes with caring for them—walks, play, hanging out, and simply being together. Being retired means I have something that can be hard to find: time without a rush. “April is truly the best! We travel a lot and she is the only one we trust with our 3 fur balls. This last time we were gone for 2 weeks and during that time April discovered fleas on one of our cats! She went out of her way to wash all the furniture coverings and begin treating our whole house to cut down on the potential pending infestation so we wouldn't have to come home to so much work. She vacuumed the house and cleaned all the floors so we could return to a little less chaos. We are so lucky to have found her!”
About: Hi! I’m Ezra 😊 I’ve spent my life around animals, growing up with big dogs and cats and now working at an animal sanctuary for cats, dogs, and farm animals. I’m very comfortable with administering medications, high energy dogs, and senior and puppy care. We love to play in my fully fenced yard regularly throughout the day. Fridays and my weekends are all about enjoying the beautiful PNW with my pup and I’d love to bring your pets along for the ride! In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture and treated like members of the family. Paws are wiped off when we come back inside, and everyone has free roam of the house. When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉
