About: I’ve dog and cat sit around the Island Country area for about a year. I’m very good with animals and keeping you updated on how things are going around the house while you’re away. :) I work during the day so I have evenings and mornings free to come check in, feed and play with your pets. Typically I am more free on the weekdays. We can talk more about boarding if needed. About: I’ve always dabbled in pet sitting for the fun of traveling and meeting new breeds. Now that I’m semi - retired, I've discovered a new joy in providing care without the pressure of outside responsibilities. Having nowhere else to be means I can spend hours with your pets, letting them set the pace on our walks, and offering endless cuddles, allowing me to form trusted connections with every animal I watch. It is not that pet care fits into my life as much as pet care IS my life. It is breakfast, walk or read (depending on the species), groom, pet, games, naps, then dinner and repeat until bedtime. In follow the outline provided by the pet parent to work through the pet’s familiar daily routine. For dogs, I emphasize exercise and with cats, I emphasize stillness. For both, we find a compromise 😂

About: I grew up in a household full of cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and fish. My first pet as a wee one was a Tarantula name Suzie. Since moving to Whidbey Island 11 years ago I have worked professionally to care for animals on a number of levels from Dog Runner to Veterinarian Technician. Though I don't have any fur-babies currently, my husband and I heartbreakingly lost our two beloved fur-kids to cancer since moving here - a Husky mix and a Pitbull mix, I still find joy in caring for others' pets. From cuddles & cookies (if diet allows) to exercise & basic training (if warranted and wanted) I am here for you and your beloved pet. I can also administer medications if needed. I am primarily offering dog walking and drops-ins at this time. I am open to discuss any house sitting needs, if my schedule is open to accommodate them. I know pets are more comfortable being in their own home with familiar surroundings, sights and smells. I am respectful and mindful of your property and will treat your home as I would my own when providing drop-in visits, walks with your dog(s), as well as over night stays with your pet(s) in your home. When on walks I will provide as much energy as your dog needs, slow leisurely walk around the neighborhood or a run around the block. If you are near a hiking trail I would be happy to provide a hike with your dog(s) if that is ok with you. More details to be discussed at meet and greet or before service is provided.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life, and during Covid—when I was working from home rather than at UW—I became a foster dog mom, which I loved. I retired in January and now happily spend much of my time in my art studio. Alas, there are no pets in my life at the moment, so I’d love the chance to be with yours! I especially enjoy the companionship of animals and the ordinary, unhurried time that comes with caring for them—walks, play, hanging out, and simply being together. Being retired means I have something that can be hard to find: time without a rush. I’m a homeowner with a flexible schedule, and I can give a pet my attention rather than squeezing their care into the edges of a busy day. I’m not a full-time sitter, and I don’t administer medications, but I’m happy to provide attentive, dependable care and plenty of affection. I’m also hoping to make pet sitting part of my longer-term adventures—spending time with wonderful animals on South Whidbey or the San Juan Islands, and eventually pet sitting in interesting places abroad. It seems like a pretty lovely way to travel: get to know a place through the eyes of a local pet, and have a furry companion along the way. For now, I’d be very happy to borrow yours. I’m retired from the UW in January and am working in my art studio, walking the beach or working out at the gym with a very flexible schedule. So there’s no fixed routine, which I love. About: I have been dog walking for friends and families for about 10 years now with a variety of dogs! My experience with different breeds of dogs has shown me that all dogs have different needs to be met. My own dogs has taught me to always be aware of everything and to always be there for them. I enjoy being able to connect with animals and will make your dog my first priority! I will be wearing a mask when dog walking or sitting and will be following the CDC guidelines for COVID-19I am a student at Seattle University and all classes are online so I am free whenever you need a sitter or a walker :) Please let me know if you have any questions.
