John is very sensitive to a dog's needs and figured out easily that Rigby needed more space to feel comfortable. John was able to handle Rigby's odd behaviors and recognized much of it is likely due to anxiety. Rigby is a rescue who we've had since October so we are still figuring him out; he's almost 12 so we are the ones likely going to be making the adjustments versus him. Thanks to John's relaxed nature, we felt comfortable entrusting Rigby with him for overnight care. John provides quick responses and thoroughly takes notes to be prepared for his sessions with his dog guests. We will be returning for more visits in the future! Thank you, John!”

About: Pet-sitting was my (Jill's) first business venture at the age of 7, when I would care for neighbors' dogs while they were away. Later I volunteered at the animal shelter, socializing nervous dogs and cats to prepare them for loving homes. Meanwhile, Aaron was finding his own connection with animals, never meeting a pup who didn't gravitate to him first in a group of people. Our most intensive training, however, came more recently with our own beloved dog-child Friday, who was smart, stubborn, and absolutely hilarious. He was the light of our lives and the explanation for the 7-year gap in our sitter profile, giving us quite the crash course in intensive dog parenting between his strong personality and special health needs ... and we would do it all again. (He's the handsome black & silver miniature schnauzer in our profile pics.) From that experience, we completely empathize with being anxious about leaving your baby for a few days and wondering if your detailed instructions will be followed. You have our word they will! 🙏🏻 We're 100% dog people, and have an especially big place in our hearts for nervous or rescue dogs who are wary of strangers – as well as Velcro dogs who need extra assurance and love while away from family. You can be confident we'll carefully read your fur-baby for all communicative signals, and send frequent updates & pictures of your happy puppy. We both work from home and manage our own work schedules, so your pup will be spoiled with attention both day and night. We live in a quiet neighborhood that’s safe for walks, and if your pup likes adventures, we’d be happy to drive them to a park or to a dog-friendly business for extra sneefs. As parents of a terrier who didn’t meet a squirrel he wouldn’t chase, we’re extremely careful about double-checking doors and fence latches. He also had quite a sensitive tummy, so we’re used to specific feeding instructions - plus always scanning the floor for anything that shouldn’t be nibbled on, and keeping things out of reach. We're also comfortable with giving medication and getting creative (with your permission) with elaborate food-delivery theater so that doses stay on schedule. We know what's needed to help dogs with IVDD and other joint conditions get around, and in general, really empathize with any special considerations you have to keep in mind for your pup. We've probably been through it, too.

About: I’ve taken care of a few neighborhood cats, all without picking them up, but finally got one of my own. She came to us with no human socialization, only having been in a room with her mom and siblings for her first 12 weeks with no view of the outside world, let alone the car we took her home in or the big dog she met early on. About: I have dealt with pets my whole life. From having many cats growing up, to now having a dog. I understand how to approach new animals and understand the a willingness to go slow and allow the animal to make a move I'd often the best way to ensure they feel safe. I currently have no other job and nothing going on for the summer. Ensuring that I am available everyday and most hours of that day. Ensuring that my animals have plenty of food and water, as well as taking them out or cleaning a litter box so they can use the bathroom and feel at ease. About: I’ve taken care of my dog Jax for almost 10 years, as well as my cat Reign for 3. My friends trust me with their animals for drop ins or walks and any suggestions on how to care for their own pets. I currently have summers off since I work in schools with the exception of 1-2 days per week that I work from 9am-1pm. I have a 2 bedroom condo with a smaller back patio area. My dog and cat are allowed on my furniture. If need be I can keep my cat in his separate room for increased comfort.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, dairy cattle, and pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!

I can feed often, let them out frequently, do leash walks and play with your dogs. I am an online college student with high moral values so I have a lot of time to tend. I am very reliable. Non smoker or drinker. Feed them, water them, leash walks, and cuddle/ play with them. Administer medications if needed. For my pups we frequently get new toys and go on hikes as well.
About: I’ve dog sat and walked many different breeds of dogs for family and friends! I was also present during my own dogs training when he was a puppy. I have also looked after elderly dogs, so I have experience with all ages! I am currently not working because I am leaving late August for college, so my schedule is very open! I am willing to work with your schedule. I have safe dog toys, a medium size crate if needed, and a large backyard with a tall secure fence. Also, I strictly follow each pets routine and instructions if given. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated with photos and messages.
About: Professionally speaking, I worked at an emergency and specialty hospital for 2 years. There not only did I learn valuable skills in handling animals, but I also learned how to perform CPR and how to recognize a medical emergency. Next I worked at a doggy daycare that was privately owned and took in dogs of a variety of temperaments and medical needs. I monitored play groups by observing body language and watching for potentially escalating behavior. Personally speaking, I was raised on a farm with a variety of animals. I rescued my first foster dog about 10 years ago when I was almost 30. She still lives with one of my friends and is a spoiled dog in the perfect home. Once I met my spouse over 6 years ago, we started our own animal family together. She is a critical care licensed veterinary technician in a local specialty hospital. I came along with two dogs of my own, they came along with a dog that was untouchable when she was adopted. I was lucky enough to be the second person to earn her trust and now she is just as much my girl. Since we have adopted a 9lbs pomchi who tried biting us in the parking lot when her previous home was moving out the country. It was a very scary event for a little dog; she needed a total of one chicken nugget and patience but now I get to see the trust in her eyes. We have 2 cats who came from PAWS and 2 cats who were found in a park. Then we have our leopard gecko, corn snake, and ball python. We previously had rabbits who have since moved on. With 4 years of professional experience and 35 years before that of personal experience, I am comfortable with all animals and excited to meet yours! I am a believer in low stress, force-free handling, and I accommodate to the individual pet's needs and boundaries. Currently I am a pet sitter full time and happy to meet your pets needs. With my spouse at home able to focus on our animals, I am able to focus on yours! I do often leave for 1-3 hours at a time during house stays to run errands, but if I am needed there 100% of the time, I am happy to have a conversation. I know how hard it can be with some animals needing 24/7 1:1 care. Due to my own animals behavioral needs, I do not bring new animals into our home or bring my animals with me. Every new animal is an adjustment period for my fur babies so I do not bring them to my home. However, my animals have my spouse so I can focus on your babies. I do not yell or believe in using force. I prefer to not use prong collars or training collars. I love to reward and make animals feel safe. I love a note of things you would love for your animal to do or what your animals schedule and needs are like. I will follow your requests 100%. I know what a medical emergency looks like and I know where the local emergency hospitals are just in case. I do not have human children to consider, my animals are my kids and I will treat your babies like my own.
