“Kassandra was amazing!!! It was the first time we had someone watch our dogs and I was so relieved with the communication and thorough care. Will definitely reach out to Kassandra again!!”

“Cameron truly goes above and beyond while you’re away from your pets. He is extremely detail oriented in his notes, very prompt, and gives an exceptional Rover experience to you and your pets. This was my first time using Rover, and while I was a little nervous at first, Cameron’s thorough notes made me feel very at ease while we were away. Highly recommend his services! Thanks, Cameron!”

“Nickey is great! She communicates quickly, was available on short notice, and took initiative to come over and meet my baby Tucker. She asked questions and really cared about how to make things go smoothly, and sanitary (trash, potty pads, accidents). She send lots of adorable videos and pictures. I highly recommend her!”

“Jelen took such good care of our cats for us. Her warmth and professionalism were just what we needed to give us peace of mind while we were away from home. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again.”

“Joslynn showed up a couple of minutes early to walk and check in on Cali, my German shepherd puppy. Cali seemed happy and tired when I arrived home from work. Thank you to Joslynn for not being afraid of the puppy chewing and jumping stage.”

About: Pet-sitting was my (Jill's) first business venture at the age of 7, when I would care for neighbors' dogs while they were away. Later I volunteered at the animal shelter, socializing nervous dogs and cats to prepare them for loving homes. Meanwhile, Aaron was finding his own connection with animals, never meeting a pup who didn't gravitate to him first in a group of people. Our most intensive training, however, came more recently with our own beloved dog-child Friday, who was smart, stubborn, and absolutely hilarious. He was the light of our lives and the explanation for the 7-year gap in our sitter profile, giving us quite the crash course in intensive dog parenting between his strong personality and special health needs ... and we would do it all again. (He's the handsome black & silver miniature schnauzer in our profile pics.) From that experience, we completely empathize with being anxious about leaving your baby for a few days and wondering if your detailed instructions will be followed. You have our word they will! 🙏🏻 We're 100% dog people, and have an especially big place in our hearts for nervous or rescue dogs who are wary of strangers – as well as Velcro dogs who need extra assurance and love while away from family. You can be confident we'll carefully read your fur-baby for all communicative signals, and send frequent updates & pictures of your happy puppy. We both work from home and manage our own work schedules, so your pup will be spoiled with attention both day and night. We live in a quiet neighborhood that’s safe for walks, and if your pup likes adventures, we’d be happy to drive them to a park or to a dog-friendly business for extra sneefs. As parents of a terrier who didn’t meet a squirrel he wouldn’t chase, we’re extremely careful about double-checking doors and fence latches. He also had quite a sensitive tummy, so we’re used to specific feeding instructions - plus always scanning the floor for anything that shouldn’t be nibbled on, and keeping things out of reach. We're also comfortable with giving medication and getting creative (with your permission) with elaborate food-delivery theater so that doses stay on schedule. We know what's needed to help dogs with IVDD and other joint conditions get around, and in general, really empathize with any special considerations you have to keep in mind for your pup. We've probably been through it, too.
About: Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m an Occupational Therapy Assistant with a flexible schedule and a lifelong love of animals. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry family members while you’re away. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, including senior pets and those who need a little extra patience and attention. I currently have a senior dog and an indoor cat, so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I believe in treating every pet as if they were my own, and I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. I’m reliable, responsible, and excited to meet your four-legged family members. I can’t wait to spoil your pets with the love and attention they deserve! I have summers off, but I occasionally pick up shifts to cover at hospitals but I will be available no later than 2-3 pm every day during the week. Weekends I have open availability! I have a 2 bedroom condo with a smaller back patio area. My dog and cat are allowed on my furniture. If need be I can keep my cat in his separate room for increased comfort.
“Jeffrey is an incredible dog sitter. He took care of my girls faithfully while I was working. He was always conscientious and clean, on time, quick to respond, and gave me great updates. We were so lucky to find him.”

About: I’ve been a life long animal lover and long time pet owner. Starting at about age 8 as a neighborhood dog walker, to the 5 most recent years I’ve had 2 xl dogs and 1 xs cat. Though I am not a trainer, I have trained my 2 xl dogs to be responsible citizens, through many classes, daily structured walks, and continued to research positive reinforcement training in order to work toward calm minds on the dog’s part. Growing confidence and good decision making skills is my main goal when walking my own pups, starting one at 12 weeks old (he was a major piranha) and the other at 1.5 years when she was already a hard headed extra strong dog. I always strive to ensure each one of my animals gets what they need to be happy and successful. I’m believe in a short leash until you prove you’re ready for more. Fast walker with reasonable sniff stops and love a good pup cup. I walk with hands off leash for easy access to treats, Ziwi mackerel and lamb food as my go to, as well as to lengthen or shorten the leash and redirect as needed. I have experience with gentle leaders, slip leads, and martingale collars. I’m available for weekend walks and check ins. This may expand as time goes on but for the time being I’m very flexible on weekends. I have experience with escape artists and runners (the cat) and am well versed in the good ol’ leg through the door or throwing treats ahead of you to avoid mishaps. I tend to be a ‘only let them out of the crate when they’re not crying’ type of a person to train quiet releases in my own home, but am happy to pivot based on individual preferences.
About: I grew up in a house with dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs and hamsters, so caring for pets is second nature to me. I've been a dog mom most of my adult life, raising an English Springer Spaniel, Sasha, from a pup, and a rescue, Delilah (in my photo), from 9 months. I've had experience in all aspects of training my dogs to have good manners, walk on a leash, etc. As a middle school teacher, I am skilled in keeping a schedule, following routines, and enjoying life while helping others! During my summer break and some school breaks, I can be available for walks and drop-ins twice per day. When I am in the swing of school, I can care for your pet(s) on weekends - go for that long hike, or get out of town for a night or two. I've got you covered! Because I do not have a fenced yard, I will only be dropping in for visits in a client's home. I look forward to exploring the neighborhood with your dog on a nice long walk!
“Michael did a great job of taking care of our cat Damon! Kept us updated and sent some pictures as well. He did the optional task as well, he is a true animal person. Thanks again Michael!”

About: I've had years of experience taking care of my own pets and also worked as a pet groomer for many years. I've had many animals throughout my life dogs, cats, ferrets, tortoises you name it. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule during the week and my weekends are wide open to spend time with your pets or have them over at my house. I have a fenced backyard and two dogs of my own that love to run and play with other dogs. While your pet is with me they are part of our family.
“Emma was great with my pups. She was reliable and responsible I think well liked by my pack (seriously… they would have told me if she were anything other than terrific) Good communication too!”

“Mayra is awesome! She took really good care of Loki while we were out of town. She updated with photos, played with him and even left him treats. Loki was happy and relaxed when we got back. She is super dependable and Loki was always happy to see her. She even checked in after we got back! Top notch service. I will definitely book Mayra again. Thank you Mayra!”

“Marysa was great! Took care of our two shy kitties and communicated everyday with updates. She followed the instructions we provided and paid attention to the details. We really appreciated her help and coming home to two happy kitties!”

“Sarah was a total rock star with Chekhov and Kalinka. She helped troubleshoot all the automatic feeder nonsense that happened. I would have her back to take care of them every single time I go out of town!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life and come from a family deeply involved in the pet industry. For the past year, I've been taking care of my friend's dog, and I truly enjoy brightening his day. I'm also the go-to person among my friends for looking after their furry family members. I work from home, so I have the flexibility to check in on your fur baby before work, during my lunch break, or in the evening after my workday ends. I live in a condo and work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of love and attention to your fur baby, as well as take them out when needed. I adore animals and truly enjoy making them happy while their parents are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
