We both work from home and manage our own work schedules, so your pup will be spoiled with attention both day and night. We live in a quiet neighborhood that’s safe for walks, and if your pup likes adventures, we’d be happy to drive them to a park or to a dog-friendly business for extra sneefs.

Safety, trust & environment
As parents of a terrier who didn’t meet a squirrel he wouldn’t chase, we’re extremely careful about double-checking doors and fence latches. He also had quite a sensitive tummy, so we’re used to specific feeding instructions - plus always scanning the floor for anything that shouldn’t be nibbled on, and keeping things out of reach. We're also comfortable with giving medication and getting creative (with your permission) with elaborate food-delivery theater so that doses stay on schedule. We know what's needed to help dogs with IVDD and other joint conditions get around, and in general, really empathize with any special considerations you have to keep in mind for your pup. We've probably been through it, too.

Information Jill & Aaron F. would like to know about your pet
Keeping your dog happy and safe is our number one priority. Please tell us everything you'd like us to know! We will never, ever judge a multi-page instruction sheet - 100% been there 😂 We do always ask for very specific health care instructions, such as your regular vet, any diagnoses / health history we should be aware of, current medications, and preferred local after-hours and emergency hospitals. We also request a reachable emergency contact in case you're traveling or otherwise potentially out of pocket. Also, while we don’t have children or other pets in our house, we’d love to know whether your dog prefers meeting or avoiding kids / adults / other pups so we can accommodate their preferences.
A typical day
We both run businesses (Aaron has an apparel label; Jill is a sales consultant). Our self-made schedules allow us to be flexible with pups' care routines and potty breaks. Both of us have different strengths with dogs, and we'll work together to take care of your pup like we would our own. In addition to following your instructions, we use our intuition to read whatever signs your dog is giving us, whether that means they're ready to party, want belly scratches, or just feel a little 😬 about the rain and would rather get into a blanket fort. If your dog needs physical exercise, Aaron has that covered between long walks and the dog park; if they need their mind worked, Jill will set up puzzles, work on tricks, or take them on a dog-friendly field trip. At night there's always an opportunity for some solid couch time (you'll see some pretty cute pics of pups making themselves right at home here). Pups who are familiar with a WFH schedule would do better at our house than ones who wouldn't understand why we'd need to talk at a screen now and then. We do keep dog beds by our desks (plus a jar of treats, if you're ok with that) – and they're always welcome to join our Zoom calls.

Extra Love for Your Sensitive Pup ❤
Pet care experience
Pet-sitting was my (Jill's) first business venture at the age of 7, when I would care for neighbors' dogs while they were away. Later I volunteered at the animal shelter, socializing nervous dogs and cats to prepare them for loving homes. Meanwhile, Aaron was finding his own connection with animals, never meeting a pup who didn't gravitate to him first in a group of people. Our most intensive training, however, came more recently with our own beloved dog-child Friday, who was smart, stubborn, and absolutely hilarious. He was the light of our lives and the explanation for the 7-year gap in our sitter profile, giving us quite the crash course in intensive dog parenting between his strong personality and special health needs ... and we would do it all again. (He's the handsome black & silver miniature schnauzer in our profile pics.) From that experience, we completely empathize with being anxious about leaving your baby for a few days and wondering if your detailed instructions will be followed. You have our word they will! 🙏🏻 We're 100% dog people, and have an especially big place in our hearts for nervous or rescue dogs who are wary of strangers – as well as Velcro dogs who need extra assurance and love while away from family. You can be confident we'll carefully read your fur-baby for all communicative signals, and send frequent updates & pictures of your happy puppy.
Reviews

Aaron is always so attentive to Coco and gives her all the love! He definitely spoils our girl! He is great with communication and consistent in care.

Jill & Aaron are such amazing sitters that gave our boy mignon the care and attention he needed! They took *lots* of photos and videos throughout his stay, and provided lots of updates of him, making us feel safe while were away from him. They were very patient with our dog’s IVDD needs, and followed the instructions to the T. We love having them as our sitter, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter!

They're the best!

We’re so grateful for the wonderful care Coco gets from Aaron! He is incredibly attentive and shows so much love for Coco. The bully treat was such a thoughtful touch — she loved it! We feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such caring hands. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl 🐾
