About: I loved dogs since I was a kid and have taken care of many different kinds of dogs since owning mine. I have an 8 year old, 72 pound golden retriever mix. I raised her mostly by myself for almost 3 years She is a rescue dog from the SFSPCA shelter. I have experience training reactive dogs because my girl had a big issue with biker and skaters. Now she is a lot more comfortable around them. I’m very patient, responsive, reliable and loving.. Safety is very important to me. I will make sure your dog is in good care. I work full time, but my business partner and roommate can take in your dog anytime. During the weekdays I can walk your dog at least twice a day.( morning and afternoon). I live in a 3 bedroom house with my roommate. My roommate and I decided to open up our home to help people and their dogs. We have front yard, making convenient for pups to go potty on or play. My dog gets along with almost everyone. She would love to have a friend If you are new to rover, use my link to get $20 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/astay00975 Code: ASTAY00975

Carol agreed in Oct to have visits to meet our dog in preparation for Xmas trip. Our dog is really scared of strangers. It took 6-7 visits for our dog to get used to Carol. Carol was very patient with it. She was flexible working out times and was able to do some walking visits at Xmas. She contacted us with updates and questions and we felt like our dog was in good hands. We will continue to work with Carol now that our dog has another person she likes!

About: Easy going and adaptable dog walker with experience! Animal lover and grad student wanting to work on the side! Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I am currently a full time graduate student which consists of a pretty busy schedule during the week but leaves the weekends very open. Also, on breaks, usually consisting of 4-6 weeks at a time, my schedule is wide open to accommodate a variety of dog walking needs. I have a fenced backyard with a moderate amount of space to run around. When dog sitting or walking, I always try to be aware and alert during social situations and pay attention to the needs of your dog while making sure they can get their energy out!

About: Hello, my name is Sonia! I have worked with various organizations throughout Monterey County, where I received training in animal behavior and boarding. Over the past five years, I’ve gained valuable experience creating daily routines that help animals feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently a volunteer at the SPCA clinic as a vet assistant, and help at the cat and dog adoption center. I have also worked at a local veterinary clinic and am now a full-time Rover sitter! I am CPR certified and comfortable administering both oral medications and injections. During my time on Rover, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful pets and building great relationships with both them and their owners. I love sending daily photos and updates so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I’m always happy to help. Thank you! :) P.S. My pup Tommy does not accompany me to visits or house sittings, so no worries if your pet prefers to be the only animal in the home. :) Hello, welcome to my page! A little about me: I have a degree in Molecular Biology from California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and am currently pursuing a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. My school schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Outside of those hours, I have flexible availability, including Tuesdays, Thursdays, weekends, and most afternoons and evenings. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walks. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine, so I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand. It gives us a chance to make sure everyone feels comfortable and helps me provide the best care possible for your furry family member. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I have 9 years of previous experience with boarding animals and work well with sticking to the specifics of every pet's needs. I have experience with all different breeds, including those requiring extra medical attention. I am trained in administering injections as well. I can also care for reptiles, birds, and any other pet in the household.

About: I have lots of experience with pet care, including caring for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, fish, and dogs. I understand that all animals have their own personalities and needs, so I make sure to really get to know the pet and their owner so that I am always prepared. I am well-versed in dog training. I have a dog myself, or should I say a best friend, juicy zeusy. I adopted him when he was just a baby and he is excited to meet his new friends (your fur babies)! Also side note, ignore the pricing on here. We can talk about it. It takes up most of my routine and I love it. Every day, I take my dog out for a morning walk, an afternoon fetch game in the back yard, an evening walk, then a supervised backyard potty break before we sleep. On our walks, he gets to socialize and play with the neighborhood dogs as well. On weekends we go to the beach or the small dog park. He always has fresh water, good food, and the best treats! After a long day, I watch cartoons and he watches with me while chewing his bully stick to self-sooth before bed. This is how I will treat your pets, with the upmost love and respect. Just let me know what their special needs are, and I am going to take care of them like my own. I offer a very safe and loving environment. Whenever I take care of a dog, they usually try to pull their owner back to my place when it’s time to say goodbye. I love all pets, especially the ones who have attitude and can be a little spicy. I love the shy ones, and love seeing them open up to me. I love the rambunctious ones who fly off the walls. I love them all! I understand it can be hard to look for a pet sitter these days, but I promise you, your pets will be in the safest of hands. I want to get to know you and your pet and all of your guys’s needs, so if I ask you a lot of questions about them, it’s because I care and want to make sure your pet is comfortable.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
