I am currently a full time graduate student which consists of a pretty busy schedule during the week but leaves the weekends very open. Also, on breaks, usually consisting of 4-6 weeks at a time, my schedule is wide open to accommodate a variety of dog walking needs. I have a fenced backyard with a moderate amount of space to run around. About: Hello! I’m a pet parent to three cats and a senior Yorkie, as well as a trained Doggy Day Out volunteer at SPCA Monterey County. I believe in treating pets with kindness and using low-stress, cooperative-care approaches. I’m currently prioritizing daytime/evening house and hotel sitting and especially welcome these requests. If you need more than a drop-in but not an overnight, please reach out for a custom quote, as these bookings are often priced below my listed house sitting rate. Overnight availability is currently limited. I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility. For daytime and evening care, I’m happy to provide custom pricing based on the hours and care needed, as these rates are often below my listed house sitting rate. I will carefully follow your instructions, pay close attention to any changes in your pet, and provide photo updates. I also hold an online Pet CPR & First Aid certification and a certificate of completion for Fear Free Shelter Program training. These trainings helped me learn how to recognize common warning signs, reduce pet stress, and take appropriate next steps in a pet emergency.

About: My preferred name is Artemisia (my legal name is Paola), and I’ll be your pet’s main sitter and caretaker. I share my home with my boyfriend, Ahmed, who may occasionally lend a hand here and there, but I’m the person responsible for your pet’s care, communication, walks, feeding, and day to day routine. I believe animals deserve the absolute best care, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I grew up with both cats and dogs and currently care for an adorable cat and two puppies, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and needs. I work from home, which means your pet will have lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I bring a calm, intuitive presence and really take the time to get to know each animal and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. I live in a house with a large backyard, so there’s plenty of space to play and get outside. Ahmed is also an animal lover and may be around during your pet’s stay, but I am the primary caretaker for all bookings and will be the one you communicate with about your pet. Whether you’re traveling, working, or simply need an extra hand, you can feel confident knowing your pet will be in a safe, loving, and attentive environment with someone who genuinely cares about making their time away from you as comfortable and happy as possible. I work from home, so your pet will have company and care throughout most of the day alongside my own pets. If your dog enjoys walks or outings like the beach, I’d love to include them with mine. Otherwise, they’ll be relaxing at home in a calm, attentive environment and won’t be left alone for more than about an hour (if they’re comfortable with short periods of alone time). I make sure my pets get a healthy balance of play, structure, and rest. With my dog, I focus on plenty of playtime and ongoing training, which helps her burn energy and settle into naps while I work. My cat prefers a calmer routine and spends most of her day relaxing in her own space, but I always make time for snuggles and connection so she feels loved and secure. I’m very attentive to each pet’s needs and energy levels. If a dog becomes tired or overstimulated, I’m happy to crate them for a peaceful reset if that’s part of their routine. For cats, I create a cozy, quiet space where they can feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. There is plenty of room in our house and yard to create separate spaces for pets to have their own areas (for sleep, food, play, etc.) if that is what they prefer. ❤️

About: I have been working with dogs since I was 10 years old and started 4-H, I have shown dogs trained them and worked with animals my entire life. I worked for a breeder and helped care for a litter of 6 from birth to 8 weeks. Caring for animals is important to me and I want to create trusting relationships with my clients so they know their pet is in the best hands as I know I only wanted the same for my own pups. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. Because I create my own work hours, I’m able to plan my days around pet care and give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve.
