“Natalie is the best. I've tried a few other sitters when she wasn't available but it wasn't the same. Her Rover cards at the end of each really visit shows she cares. The best photos, I really feel that my boy is safe with her.”

About: Hello! I am a dog mom to a senior pup and a trained “doggy day out” volunteer at the SPCA Monterey County animal shelter. I would love to help care for your furry sweethearts! I believe in treating pets with kindness and using fear-free, cooperative-care approaches whenever possible so they can feel safe and comfortable. I primarily work from home, which gives me flexibility during the week, and I have a lot of weekend availability for your pet care needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I will diligently follow your instructions, pay close attention to your pet’s needs, and do my best to help them feel comfortable and loved.
“Andrea has been my go-to walker for nearly a year now. She is amazing and so communicative and professional. I don’t know what I’d do without her!! She tailors every walk to your dog’s needs and never disappoints.”

“Claudia is our first experience with Rover and because of her, we will definitely be using again! I received many updates and photos of our pup while in her care. She took Sabine our twice a day for 30 min walks and I feel like she was in excellent hands! Everyone who met Claudia had wonderful things to say about her. Would HIGHLY recommend!”

“Stephanie is fantastic! She's incredibly friendly, communicative, flexible, and did a wonderful job with our extra-large breed. I'll definitely rely on her services again!”

“Mari is fabulous! Nat was a bit unhappy to be woken from her nap but Mari handled it like the pro she is. They had nice, productive walks and her communication was top notch. She was always on time, gave me a full rundown and she is a lovely person. After meeting with her, I was at ease knowing me sweet senior pup would be well taken care of and I was spot on. I will happily use Mari again and recommend her without hesitation. In fact, I already have some upcoming dates in mind and felt comfortable in booking my next trip knowing my baby would be well taken care of in my absence. Thank you Mari for taking such good care of Nat and being so accommodating.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs for the last 15 years. I have a wide range of experience across many breeds. My wife is a vetrinary technician, our family is very knowledgable and encourages all types of pets. I am currently on parental leave and my schedule is highly flexible. Willing to accomadate a wide range of schedules and requests. Mornings and afternoons work best for me! I am more than happy to help with any house sitting tasks or requests. I have 2 dogs of my own (a golden retriever and a minature dachshund)that would be more than happy to keep your dogs company on walks!
About: I have been pet sitting since I was 15! I have taken care of all kinds of animals, including both dogs and cats! I am comfortable with all levels of care and can provide anything you need. I have experience with complex diets, dog walking, and in-home care. I am a current college student, and I have a very flexible schedule! I am doing research this summer, which will only be in the early mornings. Beyond that, I am an early riser and can meet all sorts of levels of care. I am comfortable with crate training and getting cats and dogs into crates when necessary. I have lots of past experience with baths, nail trims, walks, and more! I do my best to be flexible for all pets, as I strongly believe each pet deserves its own individualized care.
About: Aside from raising my own 2 fur babies ( 2 kitties now), I’ve helped take care of others’ pets from large Dobermans to small kittens. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter primarily walking and socializing with the big dogs. I lost my senior cat Meemow and senior dog Harley this year (both 15). As my title states, I’m an RN and am very comfortable with giving medications to fur babies (as I do with humans) as well as taking care of any illness issues within reason (wound care/ monitoring / accidents). When it comes to senior care of animals, I understand the need for them to get extra special love and attention, and medication to keep them as happy and healthy as possible. I believe in making pets as comfortable as possible and letting them know that I’m there to help and give love (if they want). When it comes to dog walking, I’m really vigilant about our surroundings and making sure that dogs get a good safe walk. I definitely gravitate towards animals over humans haha. I work part-time out of town, and so I have a lot of time spent at home with my own animals. I want to spend my time I have to help others too (hence also my volunteering at the animal shelter right now to). I prefer to spend time with pets as much as allowed in their home while also following routines previously set for them. Whether it’s playing out in the back yard, or just hanging out together on the couch or floor and relaxing, I like the pet to know that I’m there and not alone. If crating is necessary or part of the dogs routine, I can do that too.
About: Always had a love of animals cats and dogs. Pets are all lovable in their own fun and unique ways. I would one, guarantee your pet friends are looked after with the most care and attention and two keep, in close contact with you providing updates and photos throughout 🐕🦺🐈⬛🐾 On the weekends I’m the most flexible both during the day and night. Weekdays I’d be available 4pm and after for walks, drop ins or stays. I can’t provide lodging at the moment but regarding drop in or stays I’d treat anyone and anyone’s home as I would friends and family.
“Would definitely use Arlene's service again in the future for my huskies! She was really good at communicating and also very respectful and understanding of my dog's special care needs.”

About: I have been helping friends and family take care of their pets for years and have two cats of my own. I would love to help take care of your fur babies! I have a work from home job, so my schedule is very flexible and I can work with you for what works best for you and your pet. I am experienced in keeping both my cats very well taken care of and often help my mom take care of her little dog. I am happy to accommodate any requests that you may have for your pets.

About: I never stop loving the animals I care for—my own or anyone else’s. I stick to their routines, their quirks, their “this bowl, not that bowl” rules. And I always make sure the shy little one still gets their food and attention (yes, Cleo, I’m talking about you). I’m gentle, reliable, and I pay attention to the pets who usually slip under the radar. Everyone gets cared for here. I’m a substitute teacher, so I have a flexible schedule and can choose the days I work, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my routine. The only consistent times I’m unavailable are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:50–8:00 PM when I have standing commitments. Outside of that, I’m very open and able to plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal life as possible. I follow their routine, their feeding schedule, and all the little details that make them feel comfortable. Some pets want playtime and attention, others just want a calm presence nearby, I pay attention to that and adjust to them. I’m gentle, patient, and I make sure they feel safe, especially if they’re shy or a little anxious. I also keep you updated so you know your pet is doing well while you’re away.
“Kristin is great! I would recommend her 100% for dog walking and doggy daycare. Piper loves her mid day walks when I am at work. I come home to a smiling, calm, and tired dog. ?”

About: I've been caring for animals for many years and have personally owned five beloved dogs throughout my life, including my current little companion Leo. All of my dogs lived well into their senior years, so I'm very familiar with the extra patience, gentleness, and care older pets need. I have experience caring for dogs and cats with medication schedules, mobility challenges, and special feeding routines. I've also provided overnight house and pet sitting for a home with three dogs and two cats over several years, making sure every pet received individual attention and care. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and especially enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. I'm patient with shy or anxious dogs and work at their pace so they feel safe and comfortable. My goal is always to make pets feel calm, loved and well cared for while their families are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the day. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and my weekends are usually open as well. I'm able to give pets plenty of attention during visits and can accommodate multiple visits per day when needed. I'm also happy to stay in local hotels with your dog while you go out and about! When caring for pets in a client's home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I take time to carefully follow each owner's instructions for feeding, medications, walks, and daily care so pets feel as relaxed and secure as possible while their families are away. I'm attentive to details such as making sure doors and gates are secure, leashes are properly fitted for walks, and the home is left just as it was found. I respect each client's home and privacy and treat it with the same care I would my own. I'm happy to schedule a meet and greet before new bookings so both pets and owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for. If requested I'm glad to bring in mail or packages during visits.
“She was super sweet and really went out of her way to make my anxious and shy dog feel comfortable. Shannon is super reliable, communicative, and sends dog pics. If I could give her 6 stars I would!”

“Gabrielle and I have been working together to learn how to care for my three dogs. I have a German Shepherd who needs time and patience before he'll accept a new person. Gabrielle has walked with us a handful of times now to gain my dog's trust and to learn how to properly handle him. She is very patient, has solid background knowledge in dog training, and is very open to learning what works best for our family. I'm very happy with the amount of time Gabrielle has spent with us and I'm confident that she'll be able to handle our pups when we go on our next vacation.”

About: I focus on calm, loving, and dependable care, whether that means helping a puppy with training basics or giving senior dogs the slower pace and comfort they need. Each dog gets my full attention and care, one-on-one. I plan my days around the dogs in my care, keeping a steady routine for feeding, walks, and check-ins. I make sure each visit or stay feels calm, consistent, and personalized to what each pet needs most. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is the same, to make them feel comfortable, secure, and loved. I keep routines consistent, give plenty of walks, play, and quiet time, and always make sure they get their needs met!

Monterey dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had a great experience with Nicole. My dog warmed up to her right away, and it was clear that she understands dog behavior and knows how to build trust quickly. She was calm and gentle, and gave my dog space to settle in and feel at ease. I was visiting from out of state, and having a sitter I felt comfortable leaving my dog with allowed me to spend a day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a highlight of my trip, and I was able to enjoy it knowing my dog was in good hands. She kept me updated throughout the walk with messages and photos. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly comfortable with Nicole. For a dog who usually wants to be by my side, that says a lot. I would absolutely book with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dependable sitter.

Brooke is awesome! She walked my very excitable pup at last minute's notice. I could tell immediately that she loves animals and has had a lot of experience. She seemed to have confidence in herself to be able to manage a new dog without a problem. That made me confident too. And my doggie loved her! :)

Kai is absolutely amazing. I would only leave my dog with the best of the best. I honestly went to so many sitters and Kai has been the one that is the most caring. He sends me pictures and updates and my dog gets so excited to see him. He truly loves animals and I would recommend him to anyone.

This is the 2nd time we have used Kyra for our boxer. He is deaf and 4 y/o. Kyra is very calm and laid back and walks our boy around the area while we have a relaxing dining experience on Cannary Row. She sends pics periodically which sets my heart at ease. I highly reccomend Kyra for your pup care.
