I have always had various types of pets growing up, to include dogs, cats, fish, birds, rodents and horses. When my son was 13yo, he asked me to start this Rover profile, and we worked together for many years until he was out of the house. I’ve chosen to continue it because it’s so rewarding and fulfilling. I’m eager to help with your pets! I am happy to give some extra love to your pets in the form of petting, feeding, walking/jogging, ball-tossing, playing and other attention and care. Your pets will love my visits or my home, yard and neighborhood, as well as a furry playmate if yours would like—my little doggie who loves to run and get chased. I don’t mind dogs in my car if you want me to transport your dog. I have various sizes of crates if necessary for safety. I will respect your rules of behavior and schedule of eating. Slade and Sakina were able to come through for me when I was in a pinch and had a last minute trip to Puerto Rico. They sent me constant photos and it seemed like they genuinely cared for my dog. I would rebook 100%. They started in my home and left everything as I did.

Schedule
I'm primarily a fitness professional and tour guide, so I work outside the home only a couple hours at a time. I am ready, willing and available to help with your pets. My partner Derrick loves cats and dogs may help as well with the ones we’ll board.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is large with plenty of opportunities to be loved, play with others, or have personal space, indoor or out, as appropriate (dogs, not likely cat visitors). I spend lots of time walking and exploring, so I have gotten to know Monterey and surrounding areas for drop-ins. I feel confident, safe and strong to handle your dog(s) on a walk or jog. We can do a virtual meet n greet by voice or video, or perhaps just pics and descriptions may suffice. If it's still needed for certain shy pets or detailed needs, we are willing to do a meet n greet if that seems best. If we are boarding, I would prefer to do one.

A typical day
Our walks can be along the sidewalks of your neighborhood, or anywhere you advise such as a dog park or trails near you. I hope I am able to hold, pet and hug your furbaby, but I will rely on your guidance for the best way your pet prefers interaction and stimulation.
