I've grown up with dogs my whole life and have always loved them. I'm the one my friends and family always ask to watch their pups, it's something I've always loved doing. My dog Charles has been my shadow for the last 10 years, and although he much prefers the couch life, he still joins me on walks and hikes when he's up for an adventure. I'm new to the Monterey area and currently have a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your dog. I'm available throughout the week and can easily work around what you need. Over the last several months, I've cared for my family's two dogs across several trips while they traveled. Charles gets along great with dogs of any size, he's been living happily alongside both of them and loves playing in the backyard together. I've cared for senior dogs and dogs with extra needs, from managing a specific eye care routine for vision loss to giving medication for anxiety during travel, so I'm comfortable following a detailed routine and staying attentive to how a dog's doing day to day. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety comes first, whether I'm out on a walk or watching your home. On walks, I always double check your dog's leash, collar, or harness before heading out to make sure everything is secure, and I stay alert to traffic, other dogs, and anything that might spook a nervous pup. For drop-ins and house sitting, I treat your home like it's my own. That means doors and gates stay locked, food and water are kept fresh and where they should be, and I leave everything exactly as I found it, plus regular updates and photos so you're never left wondering how things are going :)

Nicola did an amazing job making sure our pups felt like they were at home even when we were away from home. She was very fast at responding back when booking and answering all of our questions. She as well made sure to ask questions about our pups to make sure they were well taken care of. While we were at our event she sent us a text a little after we left to let us know they had settled in with her. Giving us a peace of mind as we entered our evening. We got multiple updates and the cutest pictures of our boys. Definitely book with Nicola if you want tour pups to feel safe and loved. She was incredible.
I’ve known Nikki for 5 years, and I can’t recommend her highly enough as a dog walker and pet sitter. She has been a devoted dog owner for many years and treats every dog she meets as if they were her own. Nicola always takes such great care of my dog, Finley, and Finley is absolutely OBSESSED with her! She always sends me tons of pictures, keeps me up to date with what they’re doing, and she’s super communicative when it comes to pick up and drop off too! She genuinely cares about Finley as if she is her own dog! Nicola also occasionally brings her little pup, Charles, and the two dogs are literally so cute together! Finley always tries to steal poor Charles’s toys and treats, but he also does a good job keeping her in check when she gets a little too greedy! I definitely recommend booking with Nicola!
If you’re looking for a good sitter for your dog look no further, I am happy to recommend Nicola. In particular she stepped in when I was sick, took care of my puppy, kept me updated with pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind at a difficult time.

My schedule is wide open these days, so I'm flexible for morning walks, midday breaks, or afternoon adventures, whatever fits your pup's routine best. Short notice works too.
