“First time having Denise watch after my kitty who hadn't spent a night apart from me in 2 years, so I was concerned how it would go. But it seems Denise bonded quickly with my kitty and sent me photos during every visit which was much appreciated.”

“Andrea was amazing! She’s quite the dog whisperer because my usually timid pup warmed up to her so fast. She sent me lots of pics and detailed descriptions of how the visits went which made me feel like my dog was well taken care of. I can also tell Andrea has experience with animals if my rescue dog is asking for belly scratches in the pictures! She was on time every time and followed the notes I gave her to a t. Definitely would book with Andrea again!”

“Valeriya did a wonderful job and was extremely professional and accommodating while looking after our pet over the holidays. We were extremely grateful for her and would definitely book again!”

About: Hello! I am a dog mom to a senior pup and a trained “doggy day out” volunteer at the SPCA Monterey County animal shelter. I would love to help care for your furry sweethearts! I believe in treating pets with kindness and using fear-free, cooperative-care approaches whenever possible so they can feel safe and comfortable. I primarily work from home, which gives me flexibility during the week, and I have a lot of weekend availability for your pet care needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I will diligently follow your instructions, pay close attention to your pet’s needs, and do my best to help them feel comfortable and loved.
“Elizabeth was fantastic and great with communication! I appreciated her approach to making new clients feel comfortable with her! She did great with my shy cat too! I would recommend her any day :)”

About: Longtime, trusted petsitter for neighbors and friends, with extensive volunteer experience including lead dog walker at a local shelter and rescue transporter. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and genuinely love building connections with each pet. Available for walks, overnight care, and drop-ins. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work full-time during the week but have evening availability on Thursdays and Fridays, with open availability on weekends. I can accommodate drop-in visits during weekday lunch hours in the Oldtown/Downtown Monterey area. Please message me with any questions about availability or scheduling. I love taking dogs for neighborhood walks with plenty of time for sniffing, playing with their favorite toys, giving lots of affection and belly rubs, and simply keeping them company while you’re away. I’m happy to follow any special instructions, routines, or care requirements.
About: I grew up with family dogs and took on the responsibility of helping train our puppies from a young age. My experience grew as I took on part time sitting jobs for friends and family and have loved getting to spend time with all of the animals under my watch. If you have a high energy dog in need of walks or runs, I'm more than happy to provide that sort of energy! I have a very flexible schedule that can allow me to watch, feed, and keep your pet company throughout the week days and most weekends. I will be able to come and watch your pet in the comfort of their own home and take them out to play and for walks if requested!
“Natalie is great! She took care of my cat when I was out of town for the week. My cat is skittish and hides under the bed when people are around, so I didn't expect too much socializing, but Natalie took the time to hang out with her and make her feel a little more comfortable. Natalie was also communicative. All around awesome!”
About: Let me tell you why I would be the perfect fit to take care of your beloved pets. First and foremost, I absolutely adore animals. Whether it's playing fetch with energetic dogs or snuggling up with a shy cat, I am adept at handling all kinds of pets. Furthermore, I have years of experience as a pet sitter, ensuring that your pets will be in safe hands while you're away. I am responsible, reliable, and committed to providing top-notch care for your animals. Additionally, my flexible schedule allows me to devote ample time to giving each pet individual attention and affection. With me as your pet sitter, you can enjoy your time away knowing that your furry family members are receiving the love and care they deserve! I am a freelance artist, writer and mama of 2 cats. I am always making sure my cats are well taken care of, and so loved. I am very flexible in my schedule, I have full availability after 11am everyday. I treat my cats like they are my children, which means that they are a high priority in me and my fiance's life. Every petsitting job I have, I treat my client's pets just the same.
“Jade went above and beyond helping out our dog! Jade made sure that our dog had some extra love after he started missing us while we were gone and developed some stomach problems. Highly recommended!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the depth of my experience. I have a lot of experience in training puppies, including potty training and simple commands such as sitting. I have cared for two dogs, a large mixed breed for eleven years and a chihuahua beagle for four. In addition to caring for my dogs, I have also simultaneously dog-sat for friends and neighbors, taking on responsibilities such as walking them and administering medicine. I have experience with energetic and large dogs (my neighbor's labradors in particular), and I can keep them close despite their strength and energy. As I am taking college courses starting August 26th, I will be unavailable on Mondays and Wednesdays until 3:45 p.m. However, my schedule is otherwise flexible, and I am usually completely free after this. Additionally, I am free between 10:00 a.m. and 8/9:00 p.m. the rest of the week. I try to prioritize the dog's necessities and comfort. I feed them on a consistent schedule (twice per day), take them on long or short walks four times a day, and play games such as tug-of-war or fetch, weather allowing. I keep dogs cool by playing games indoors, especially during the hot afternoon's summer months.
“Shannon did a great job feeding our kitties and spending time with them. I felt at ease meeting Shannon, she has a friendly and sweet demeanor. I will be asking her in the future to watch our cats for sure.”

Monterey cat parents share their Rover experiences
We just moved to town and I was anxious about hiring a cat sitter for the first time, but Janelle came over to meet our cats a few days in advance and I knew right away that they would be in great hands during my trip. She provided detailed updates after each drop in visit and plenty of photos of our cats, which reassured me that they were doing well. They warmed up to Janelle quickly and I feel so much better about traveling in the future now that I have someone I can trust to take great care of them!

Andrea was amazing to work with as always! And it is clear that our cats love her too! She is incredibly responsive and follows (even my most ridiculous) directions to a tee! As someone who is very anxious to leave my cats, I always feel like they are in great hands with her and I wasn’t worried at all on my trip.

Elissa is an amazing sitter, who constantly ensures that she is providing the best service possible. She is great at communicating of there is any issues or if she has any questions. She is extremely great with cats and always ensures she is being patient and gentle with them.
