Please let me know ahead of time what the temperament of your pet is so that I can best accommodate them and help them feel at ease while you are away. It’s my goal to have as little disruption as possible to their environment and routine. Additionally, it would help to know ahead of time any special needs (medications, etc.). For house sitting jobs, I find it best if you type or write out instructions on a document to refer to if you have the means to do so.
A typical day
I love to play with dogs and going on walks with them; the bigger the dog the better. Fetch is one of my favorite games to play with a dog and sometimes I make it a contest to see who will get tired first if we run around chasing each other (it’s usually me). Hopefully, there is a dog park near you. I really feed off energetic dogs the most because, like them, I gotta get my zoomies out somewhere. For cats, I love playing with toys and cuddling with them if they are into that.

Pet care experience
I’ve have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently have two 6 year old cats in my home, that I raised from kittens. Before them, I had a cat for 16 years and a beagle for nine years. As a child, we had multiple dogs and cats and there has been very little time I’ve spent in my life without a pet of some sort.

Sara did a great job for their first drop-in engagement with Leo and Phoebe. They followed directions well, including play time, administering medication, feeding, litter box hygiene and sending me updates. They were easy to communicate with and helped to transition Leo to new food and medication while I was out of town. I will be rebooking them. Thanks Sara!
Sara was a trooper! She took over from a previous sitter who had another planned obligation. She stepped into a challenging situation with naughty kitties. She did a great job, and I highly recommend her. She is trustworthy and knowledgable.
Sara was fantastic! They stayed in my home for 8 days caring for my dogs, cats, horses and fish. I got daily updates of pictures and videos and they communicated very quickly if I ever reached out. My house was somehow cleaner than I left it and everything was obviously well taken care of. My animals clearly adored Sara and I’m very happy with everything. Would definitely recommend Sara as someone you can trust with your home and pets!
I wanted to leave an honest review of my experience with Sara. While there were a couple of brief positive moments, the overall care fell incredibly short of what was agreed upon. What Went Well The Video Update: When I explicitly asked for an update, Sara did respond with a video. Happy Dogs: In the video she sent, my dogs looked happy and healthy, which gave me some peace of mind in the moment. What Went Wrong (The Reality) Unfortunately, outside of that single video, the basic requirements of the job were completely neglected: Lack of Consistent Communication: Aside from the video I had to prompt her for, I did not receive daily updates. No Daily Walks: My dogs were not walked on a daily basis as we had discussed. Neglected Yard & Hydration: Sara failed to pick up my dogs' poop from the backyard, leaving it a mess. More alarmingly, she did not put water in the backyard water bowl, which is a basic safety and hydration hazard. Unacceptable Boundary Violation: To top it all off, Sara invited a guest (her partner) to stay over at my house without asking for my permission first. This is a massive breach of privacy and trust. Bottom line: While I am glad my dogs seemed happy in the brief video I received, the lack of daily walks, poor yard cleanup, empty water bowls, and the uninvited house guest are completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend Sara and will not be using her services again.
