About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, as well as other animals like horses, otters, and seals! I love caring for and ensuring the well-being of all animals, regardless of size or breed. I am a marine biologist currently applying for graduate programs and have lots of availability! I spend lots of time working or walking which either cats or dogs would fit perfectly. I like to take notes and ask questions to ensure all logistics are taken care of when in a clients home. I prefer meet and greets prior to booking to make sure me and your fur baby are compatible as well as become familiar with the home.

While I was gone, she was incredibly responsive and thorough. Her daily Rover cards were detailed, thoughtful, and honestly a joy to read. She is very witty, and more than once I found myself laughing at her updates. She also sent beautiful pictures that made it so obvious how much affection and attention Kona was receiving. What meant the most to me was how closely Elizabeth paid attention to Kona herself. She understood that Kona needed time and space to become comfortable, and she kept me updated as that trust gradually developed. I could see it happening in the photos and hear it in the way she described their time together. Elizabeth really cares. There is no question about that. Knowing Kona was with someone so attentive, patient, affectionate, and genuinely invested in her wellbeing gave me an enormous amount of comfort while I was away. I cannot thank her enough, and I would trust her with my little girl again without hesitation.”

About: Hello! I am an active PG resident who LOVES animals. I have a job in Carmel that I adore, but I need more dogs/cats in my life! I have a leash-trained cat who traveled the country with me for 2 years, and he’s the light of my life, but I have more love to give. I’ve been professionally/informally caring for animals my entire life. I’ve worked primarily with dogs/cats, but have also lived on several farms around the world where I cared for: donkeys, horses, cows, sheep, goats, and chickens to name a few. Raising a leash-trained cat has been an eye opening experience for me. Because of it, I’m skilled at reading an animal’s emotional state, and am often able to redirect when an unwanted behavior begins brewing. I believe in positive reinforcement, respect, and play! I have experience training both dogs and cats (yes, cats can be trained!) Some unique things I bring to the table: - 20 years of experience caring for cats. I think I’m particularly good at caring for anxious kitties, and smart/active kitties (i.e. ones that LOVE being trained). - I’m an active and strong person. I can pretty much always meet a dog’s energy needs and provide a wide variety of different exercise (rollerskating alongside them, long walks, throwing balls, tug, running around with them). - The main reason I’ve rejoined Rover is because I simply want more animals in my life! I would love to foster dogs, but my current living situation doesn’t allow for that. I LOVE when my friends go away and ask me to care for their pets, but they don’t take enough vacations! ¨̮ I work in Carmel Monday through Friday, from 9-3, so I’m available weekday mornings/evenings, and any time over the weekend! My time is a bit more limited during the week, but on Saturdays and Sundays, I would be more than happy to provide several drop-ins/walks for your pet! As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to keep your babies safe. Because I’ve been walking my cat for the past 6 years, I’ve had to learn how to read his body language, and the body language of the hundreds of dog’s we’ve interacted with. I’m by no means an expert, but I can often tell the difference between nervousness and excitement, stress and comfort, and anxiety and confidence. I strongly believe in positive reinforcement, respecting boundaries, and creating a loving relationship with animals. If your dog loves to constantly play tug, we’ll constantly play tug! If your cat is anxious and needs 30 minutes of playtime in order to feel relaxed around me, that’s what we’ll do! I love learning about an animal’s specific personality, and tailoring the kind of care I provide to exactly what they need!

About: I have the most experience with various dog breeds young and old. More recently I have grown to also love and care for cats. Most of my full time experience has been with my personal dogs. Zoe, an Australian Shepard, was a shining light in my life for 14 years. Prior to Zoe I had Max, a sweet and gentle Rottweiler I was with for 6 years. For the past 4 years I've been spending a lot of time caring for the beloved pets and homes of my friends and family. I'm a retired teacher so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do some regular volunteer work with cancer patients a few hours each week. I walk or hike daily and a furry companion would be welcome. It's one of the main reasons I signed up for Rover! I am also now on Trusted Housesitters and have experience caring for pets in client's homes. I could have a pet in my home for short visits. I live near a lovely wooded trail that dogs LOVE.

About: I love to watch pets go about their lives in our presence. My lifelong experience with animals includes caring for special needs dogs and rabbits and working closely with puppies, cats, bunnies and more. My pet bunny Gertie just turned 8 and I couldn’t adore her more. I am a creative freelancer working from home M W F and teach at CSUMB on Tue/Thu. Caring for your pet helps get me out of the house. I have flexibility to work with your pet’s schedule and am happy to take them for walks, drop in to feed and play, or stay in your home to care for them. I follow instructions closely and won’t miss a beat, taking care with your sweet (or salty) pet and with your space. Sorry, I can’t currently care for pets in my home but I will treat your space and your pets as I would my own.
