I had my own cat that later in life needed subcutaneous fluids, pills, and shots so I am experienced with the trickery of loving care while an animal is in a difficult situation. About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was little (Chickens, Ducks, Bunnies, and dogs) but for the past 2 years I’ve been pet setting consecutively for my family member’s dogs whenever they were away for vacation/work. I do have a full-time job (M-F) 0800-1600 but I am more than open to house sit if necessary on weekdays. I will spend my lunch time with your pet so they don’t stay unattended for more than 4 hours :) I will follow every rule provided to me by the owner, my duty is to make sure nothing wrong happens to the pet especially when it comes to dieting restrictions. It fits into my routine really well now that I have extra free time and plus it gives me a reason to go outside :) I make sure they remain clean, shower them if necessary, clean up their mess, make sure they always have access to water/ food (unless they are in diet restrictions).

About: Hello! I am an active PG resident who LOVES animals. I have a job in Carmel that I adore, but I need more dogs/cats in my life! I have a leash-trained cat who traveled the country with me for 2 years, and he’s the light of my life, but I have more love to give. I’ve been professionally/informally caring for animals my entire life. I’ve worked primarily with dogs/cats, but have also lived on several farms around the world where I cared for: donkeys, horses, cows, sheep, goats, and chickens to name a few. Raising a leash-trained cat has been an eye opening experience for me. Because of it, I’m skilled at reading an animal’s emotional state, and am often able to redirect when an unwanted behavior begins brewing. I believe in positive reinforcement, respect, and play! I have experience training both dogs and cats (yes, cats can be trained!) Some unique things I bring to the table: - 20 years of experience caring for cats. I think I’m particularly good at caring for anxious kitties, and smart/active kitties (i.e. ones that LOVE being trained). - I’m an active and strong person. Sara was great. She charmed my two friendliest kitties and by the end my skittish one wasn’t running every time she visited. It was the first time I’ve ever had a non-family member watch my babies and I was super pleased. Elizabeth was an absolute miracle for Kona and for me. She is such a kind human, and it was immediately clear that she has an incredible capacity to care for and love the animals entrusted to her. This was my first time away from Kona since she lost her sister, and she has been noticeably more anxious since then. I was genuinely not confident I would be able to board that plane without worrying myself sick until I met Elizabeth. She immediately put me at ease. While I was gone, she was incredibly responsive and thorough. Her daily Rover cards were detailed, thoughtful, and honestly a joy to read. She is very witty, and more than once I found myself laughing at her updates. She also sent beautiful pictures that made it so obvious how much affection and attention Kona was receiving. What meant the most to me was how closely Elizabeth paid attention to Kona herself. She understood that Kona needed time and space to become comfortable, and she kept me updated as that trust gradually developed. I could see it happening in the photos and hear it in the way she described their time together. Elizabeth really cares. There is no question about that. Knowing Kona was with someone so attentive, patient, affectionate, and genuinely invested in her wellbeing gave me an enormous amount of comfort while I was away. I cannot thank her enough, and I would trust her with my little girl again without hesitation.
Mary has been great with Murphy, my mom’s 10 year old Yorkie. My mom is 88 years old and loves that dog more than anything! She trusts very few people with Murphy, but she raves about how good Mary is with him. She feels comfortable leaving Murphy when Mary is watching him and she will be doing some overnight stays in October! Mary has been wonderful. She is very responsive and thorough. Highly recommend!
Lily did exactly what I needed. My cats are simple and dont really gravitate towards humans that aren’t me haha, but she still tried to interact with them and got some photos of them. Communication was clear and she was flexible with adjusting a drop in time for me.
