I currently work full time, and volunteer my free time the SPCA Monterey. I enjoy spending time with animals so working your pets needs into my schedule is easier than it seems! About: I have had a cat in my life since I was 5 years old. Almost all of them passed away from old age. The oldest was 17 years. For dogs, I was never able to have one growing up. We didn't have the room for one. But I have family members that had dogs and was able to help take care of them. I have dog sat for many years. During that time I would either pop in for a walk or stay with them for a few days. Now that I have a family, it's difficult to house/animal sit at other people's homes, but animals are always welcome in my home. When I am with your pet I do take pictures and send them to you. It gives the owners a peace of mind. I am currently not working. My days are filled with my 3 and 1/2-year-old daughter. I am showing her how to take care of animals. I take her to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am mostly home or going to walks or going to a park. I have a fenced yard and currently do not have a dog. I do have one cat that is mostly outdoors. I do have a medium size crate if your dog requires one. Animals are allowed on any of the furniture as long as it's not a table or a kitchen counter. I do have a small animal door leading to the backyard. I can close this off if need be.
About: I’ve worked with dogs for over 7 years and have dog sat and dog walked for residents in Carmel by the sea. I had always been an avid dog lover and treat all pups as if they were my own. Reach out and I’d be happy to see if I can assist for additional days past Friday to Sunday! I have a fenced yard with a corgi pup that loves other dogs and will keep your pup entertained while you’re away. Dogs are allowed on the couch to make them feel at home and relaxed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marina
Azia cared for my cat with great enthusiasm and care. She sent me many great updates (and photos) and asked relevant questions if she had any. She communicated any difficulties she ran into and gave me peace of mind. I highly reccomend her to anyone else and will continue to ask for her if my cat needs a sitter again.
I have used many house sitters over the years, and none of them compare to Delila. From the very beginning, her communication was exceptional. She kept me consistently updated, responded promptly, and made it clear that my home and pets were always a priority. I never once had to wonder how things were going — she was proactive, thoughtful, and incredibly thorough. Delila went above and beyond in every way. She sent frequent photos and updates that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It wasn’t just a quick check-in; she truly took the time to make sure everything was cared for exactly as I would have done myself — if not better. What sets Delila apart is the extra effort she naturally puts in. She doesn’t just “house sit” — she genuinely cares. My home was left immaculate, my pets were clearly happy and comfortable, and every small detail was handled with care and intention. It is rare to find someone this reliable, trustworthy, and attentive. Delila exceeded every expectation, and I would not hesitate for a second to have her back. If you’re considering her, know that you are in the best possible hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
