About: I have had a cat in my life since I was 5 years old. Almost all of them passed away from old age. The oldest was 17 years. For dogs, I was never able to have one growing up. We didn't have the room for one. But I have family members that had dogs and was able to help take care of them. I have dog sat for many years. During that time I would either pop in for a walk or stay with them for a few days. Now that I have a family, it's difficult to house/animal sit at other people's homes, but animals are always welcome in my home. When I am with your pet I do take pictures and send them to you. It gives the owners a peace of mind. I am currently not working. My days are filled with my 3 and 1/2-year-old daughter. I am showing her how to take care of animals. I take her to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am mostly home or going to walks or going to a park. I have a fenced yard and currently do not have a dog. I do have one cat that is mostly outdoors. I do have a medium size crate if your dog requires one. Animals are allowed on any of the furniture as long as it's not a table or a kitchen counter. I do have a small animal door leading to the backyard. I can close this off if need be.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and one on one attention I give every pet. I treat your dog or cat like family, not just a job. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine because I’m home full-time. This allows me to give pets my full attention whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping them company. I create a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and cared for, just like they would at home. At my home, pets get plenty of love, playtime, and a calm space to relax. I make sure they feel at home with cozy spots to rest and a safe environment to explore. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine so they feel secure and stress free. I treat every pet like my own, whether I’m in their space or they’re in mine.

“Asja did great with Lincoln. We could tell when we got home that he had a good long walk and he was very happy and relaxed for us for the evening. He is a big dog so to know he was taken care of so well is such a gift! Thank you!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since day one! My mom has been fostering dogs ( Shamrock Pet Foundation in Louisville) since I was a baby, so I literally grew up surrounded by dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. From shy rescues to energetic puppies, I’ve had hands-on experience caring for them all. Being around dogs just comes naturally to me — they’ve always been part of my family and my everyday life. I’m confident and comfortable making them feel safe, happy, and loved. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and I always tailor care to their unique needs and personality. As a student at NPS with a flexible schedule, I have lots of time to dedicate to dog walking or pet sitting — and I’d love to spend it with your pup! Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. Whether I’m in your home or welcoming your pet into mine, I make sure they feel secure, loved, and relaxed. In your home, I always respect your space and routines. I follow your care instructions closely — from feeding and potty breaks to playtime and preferred walking routes — to keep your pet’s day as normal and stress-free as possible. In my home, pets are treated like family. I create a calm, safe environment where they can feel comfortable, whether they’re playful or more laid-back. I make sure the space is pet-proofed and that they always have access to water, cozy spots to rest, and supervised outdoor time in the dog park or in the fenced backyard. I also believe in building trust — both with your pet and with you. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you always know how your furry friend is doing!
About: I pride myself in clear and constant communication to prevent any worry and confusion that tends to stem from being away from your loved ones for any amount of time. That’s always the most important thing I hear from my clients, and you can be sure I’ll uphold that standard. I’m not afraid of a little dirt, slobber, hair, waste, or fresh air - it makes life much more interesting! I’m currently working at Monterey airport - 3 days off in a week - with early morning starts so I’m off most afternoons and evenings. Some shifts are 8-12 hours, but I have time in between to be able to care for clients, and am more than willing to work out a schedule directly with you. I always make sure to adhere to instructions as accurately as possible to make my clients (human or otherwise) as comfortable as possible. Your pets AND property are mine to protect.

About: Hi! I’m Allyson — a college student and lifelong dog lover who misses her own pups back home. I have a senior lab and a playful puppy, so I’m experienced with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m available most days and would love to help families care for their pets, whether that means walks, playtime, or some extra love while you’re away. I know how special our pets are, and I’ll treat yours with the same care and affection I give my own. If you’re looking for someone dependable, caring, and truly excited to spend time with your furry family members — I’d love to help! 🐾 I'm a college student with a fairly flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to play, bond with, and care for your pets throughout the day. I'm happy to follow any house rules or special requests to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I focus on maintaining their routine—feeding, walks, playtime, and any meds if needed. About: Hi, I have about 6 years of experience in pet care! I have so much free time on my hands and would love to build a relationships with your dog/cat, and also be here to help you out with your pet needs. I’m able to feed, water, play, take them for walks/runs, and simply provide company for your pet. I have a huge heart for animals and truly enjoy being around them. If you’re in need of someone to watch your pet for you, please feel free to reach out as they’ll be loved by me like they’re my own :) I have a lot of extra time on my hands during the week. Watching your pet for you would be the perfect addition to my day and gives me something to do which I enjoy. Your pet is welcome here anytime Pets are allowed on furniture. My cat is an indoor cat. I like to keep Ace inside because of the wildlife outside. I know cats are hunters but I feel as if his safety is 10x better and able to be observed, when he’s inside with me. He is on a great schedule when it comes to food and water and baths are a must! He’s spoiled rotten and has all the toys in the world. He has his own bed but somehow ends up with me every night- he’s very clingy. If I’m watching a bigger dog, Ace will usually sit and watch from a distance and mind his business. If I’m watching a smaller dog, Ace might want to sniff for a little bit then end up wanting to play! If he doesn’t like the dog, he’ll run off and hide or lay at a window by himself where he won’t get bothered. If your dog isn’t well with cats, I AM able to put Ace into another room where they can be separated for the time being :)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Marina
I trust Azia completely with my reactive dog, which says everything. She is kind, gentle, calm, and also strong enough to confidently handle a big rambunctious dog. She truly understands dogs and cares deeply about their well-being. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her.

Bridget was absolutely amazing!! We reached out asking her to take care of our dog while we took our engagement photos, which was an odd ask but Bridget was more than happy to help! She arrived promptly and even stayed over time. She was on standby helping us with our dog when we would take photos with her and helping us hold things in between shots. Truly went above and beyond! She is such a kind person and so so helpful!! Thank you so much Bridget!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
