Rain is great. Our dog is a little hyper and territorial but rain is kind enough to call us and let us call him on face time so he’s less anxious. Well done rain! Thank you.

About: I have experience working in dog boarding and daycare caring for a wide variety of dogs. I also have experience as both a kennel technician and veterinary assistant caring for both dogs and cats. I have experience with a wide variety of breeds and sizes as well as experience with senior pets and pets with specialized care such as diabetic cats. I also have a little experience with other types of pets but mostly just rabbits. I am currently a veterinary assistant and will be attending UC-Davis vet school this fall. I currently work 7:30-6 pm in Monterey Monday-Friday. Therefore during the week I would only be able to fit in one very short check during the work day if needed. Though, I am able to check on them before and after work and even stay with your fur baby overnights if needed. I am off on Saturdays and Sundays and am therefore very flexible those days and my schedule is totally open. I am open for overnight sitting, evening pet sitting, sitting for a few hours while you run errands or go on a date, etc! I have a wide variety of experience that allows me to cater to the needs of your pet. Whether that is taking them for long walks on the beach, giving your anxious pet cuddles and pets, bringing my dog to play with your dog(s) and keep them company, playing fishing with your cats, or whatever I need to do to keep your pets most happy, healthy and comfortable in their home.

About: I have been taking care of many different kinds of animals since a young age, dogs, cats and chickens. I really enjoy working with animals of all kinds, I currently have an 8 year old boxer who’s basically my daughter, I have a 5 month old Great Dane mix as well, along with two chunky older cats. I have much experience with caring for dogs and cats as I have been the main provider for my animals for the past 10 or so years. In the past I’ve owned a diabetic dog as well for around 6 years, she was very beautiful and needed much personal care. she was blind and would have to take 3 daily scheduled insulin shots every day of the week, and I would happily do this for her. I am currently enrolled in MPC but I mainly do all online classes so I have time for my animals and my at home needs. I am free Monday-Friday throughout these days. I do not currently have a car but I am more than willing to walk the distance and have no problems with it! We have a rather big spacious backyard with a full 6’ wooden fence with lots of dirt and grass for our puppers to play. The way I care for my clients pets is mainly up to the animal and the owners preferred choice of handling, if they have a set routine or schedule then I will make that as my main priority!

About: Dogs have been part of my life since day one! My mom has been fostering dogs ( Shamrock Pet Foundation in Louisville) since I was a baby, so I literally grew up surrounded by dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. From shy rescues to energetic puppies, I’ve had hands-on experience caring for them all. Being around dogs just comes naturally to me — they’ve always been part of my family and my everyday life. I’m confident and comfortable making them feel safe, happy, and loved. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and I always tailor care to their unique needs and personality. As a student at NPS with a flexible schedule, I have lots of time to dedicate to dog walking or pet sitting — and I’d love to spend it with your pup! Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. Whether I’m in your home or welcoming your pet into mine, I make sure they feel secure, loved, and relaxed. In your home, I always respect your space and routines. I follow your care instructions closely — from feeding and potty breaks to playtime and preferred walking routes — to keep your pet’s day as normal and stress-free as possible. In my home, pets are treated like family. I create a calm, safe environment where they can feel comfortable, whether they’re playful or more laid-back. I make sure the space is pet-proofed and that they always have access to water, cozy spots to rest, and supervised outdoor time in the dog park or in the fenced backyard. I also believe in building trust — both with your pet and with you. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you always know how your furry friend is doing!

About: About Me 🤍 Hi! I’m Alicia :) I’ve always been a huge animal lover and grew up around both dogs and cats. I have a Pomeranian of my own, and I’ve lived with and cared for all different kinds of dogs and cats over the years. I also have experience pet sitting, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet and their own little personality. I know every pet is different. Some dogs want to play and go on walks all day, while others just want to cuddle and hang out. The same goes for cats, some will be your best friend right away and others need a little time before they trust you. I’m very patient and always let them get comfortable with me at their own pace. I really just want them to feel safe and happy while their family is away. 🐾 I also understand that you’re trusting me with your home, not just your pet, and I take that seriously. Before getting into real estate, I worked in banking, so being responsible, trustworthy, professional, and respectful of people’s privacy has always been really important to me. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to have in mine. A little about me outside of pet sitting: I’ve lived in Japan, Hawaii, Sacramento, and the Bay Area, and now I’ve settled in Monterey with my family. I love being outside, going to the beach, and taking walks around the coast, so having a pup come along with me makes it even better! At the end of the day, I really just love animals. Your pet isn’t going to feel like another “booking” to me. I want to get to know them, learn their little quirks and routine, and make sure they’re getting lots of love and attention while you’re gone. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, cared for, and in good hands. 🤍 I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, pet sitting, and overnight care throughout the week and weekends. I enjoy spending quality time with animals and making sure they stay on their normal routine, feel comfortable, and receive lots of love and attention while their owners are away. Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for pets is very important to me. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to make sure pets stay comfortable and on their normal routine. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, needs, and behavior to ensure they feel secure and cared for. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I provide a clean, attentive, and trustworthy environment where pets are treated like family and receive plenty of affection, supervision, and patience. I also love keeping pet owners updated with photo and video updates throughout the day so you can feel reassured and connected while you’re away. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone, so communication is always a priority for me, and I’m happy to answer questions or accommodate any specific care instructions.

About: I have had a cat in my life since I was 5 years old. Almost all of them passed away from old age. The oldest was 17 years. For dogs, I was never able to have one growing up. We didn't have the room for one. But I have family members that had dogs and was able to help take care of them. I have dog sat for many years. During that time I would either pop in for a walk or stay with them for a few days. Now that I have a family, it's difficult to house/animal sit at other people's homes, but animals are always welcome in my home. When I am with your pet I do take pictures and send them to you. It gives the owners a peace of mind. I am currently not working. My days are filled with my 3 and 1/2-year-old daughter. I am showing her how to take care of animals. I take her to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am mostly home or going to walks or going to a park. I have a fenced yard and currently do not have a dog. I do have one cat that is mostly outdoors. I do have a medium size crate if your dog requires one. Animals are allowed on any of the furniture as long as it's not a table or a kitchen counter. I do have a small animal door leading to the backyard. I can close this off if need be.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and one on one attention I give every pet. I treat your dog or cat like family, not just a job. I also send daily updates with photos so you always feel connected and reassured. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine because I’m home full-time. This allows me to give pets my full attention whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping them company. I create a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and cared for, just like they would at home. At my home, pets get plenty of love, playtime, and a calm space to relax. About: Hi! I’m Allyson — a college student and lifelong dog lover who misses her own pups back home. I have a senior lab and a playful puppy, so I’m experienced with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m available most days and would love to help families care for their pets, whether that means walks, playtime, or some extra love while you’re away. I know how special our pets are, and I’ll treat yours with the same care and affection I give my own. If you’re looking for someone dependable, caring, and truly excited to spend time with your furry family members — I’d love to help! 🐾 I'm a college student with a fairly flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to play, bond with, and care for your pets throughout the day. About: Hi, I have about 6 years of experience in pet care! I have so much free time on my hands and would love to build a relationships with your dog/cat, and also be here to help you out with your pet needs. I’m able to feed, water, play, take them for walks/runs, and simply provide company for your pet. I have a huge heart for animals and truly enjoy being around them. If you’re in need of someone to watch your pet for you, please feel free to reach out as they’ll be loved by me like they’re my own :) I have a lot of extra time on my hands during the week. Watching your pet for you would be the perfect addition to my day and gives me something to do which I enjoy. Your pet is welcome here anytime Pets are allowed on furniture. My cat is an indoor cat. I like to keep Ace inside because of the wildlife outside. I know cats are hunters but I feel as if his safety is 10x better and able to be observed, when he’s inside with me. He is on a great schedule when it comes to food and water and baths are a must! He’s spoiled rotten and has all the toys in the world. He has his own bed but somehow ends up with me every night- he’s very clingy. If I’m watching a bigger dog, Ace will usually sit and watch from a distance and mind his business. If I’m watching a smaller dog, Ace might want to sniff for a little bit then end up wanting to play! If he doesn’t like the dog, he’ll run off and hide or lay at a window by himself where he won’t get bothered. If your dog isn’t well with cats, I AM able to put Ace into another room where they can be separated for the time being :)

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
