“Amazing! Zuleyka took care of my dog like no other. From the moment Amadeus arrived, Zuleyka embraced him as if he was her puppy. I have never seen Amadeus so happy as he was when he saw Zuleyka! She is the best sitter ever! Thank you for taking care of our dog the way you do it! You are the best no doubt”

“My dog Simon had a wonderful time at Stephanie's home. We took a 7-day getaway, so we were nervous about how he would do. Stephanie kept us updated daily, which eased our worries, and she sent many pictures. Simon didn't miss love or hugs and felt at home. He also made friends with her dog. Thank you for caring for our Simon! 🤗”

“Highly recommend Teresa. She took amazing care of Coco providing regular updates, photos, and plenty of love. Coco came home happy and well cared for. I’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Funda was amazing! I traveled for 3 days and didn’t worry about my dog once. She provided photos and updates throughout the day and Prince was very happy with her. She also has kids which made Prince even more excited, he loves playing with children. I will be utilizing her moving forward when I continue to go on business trips. Thanks so much for taking care of my dog Funda!”

“We are so happy we found Keisy! She was calm and accommodating. She helped with navigating around rover as I was not familiar or any questions I had. She answered all questions I had.”

About: I have two siblings with a rescue dog each and I have been the go-to auntie to dogsit for them for years. Anytime anyone’s need to go on a trip, Auntie’s got them 💪. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I can give them the attention, the cuddles, the walks, and the treats they need to be absolutely cared for. I work a remote job from 9-5. It’s not demanding so I have lots of flexibility. I will do walks in the mornings and evenings and can fit in a fun one in the afternoon for a little nature enrichment. Meal times are how the dog parents want. They can have access to my furniture and bed. I see myself as their auntie and they will be treated with the best love and care. My apartment is right next to a train so there will be loud train noises every few hours. I’m hoping this doesn’t spook the babies but please keep that mind.

“Our dog Happy had a great stay with Brianna. It was the first time we ever boarded our dog, so we were nervous at first, but Brianna was very welcoming and our dog warmed up to her quickly. This was our quick test to make sure our dog (and we) could handle the separation for a short period of time, as a bridge to boarding her for a longer stretch of time. Our dog passed due to Brianna's hospitality, so we are much more comfortable boarding her for a longer stay with Brianna very soon! Thanks so much, Brianna and family!”

“Ankita was absolutely wonderful with my pet. From the start, she was professional, reliable, and incredibly kind. She treated my pet like her own and made sure every detail was taken care of while I was away. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my pet felt comfortable and happy in her care. I truly appreciate the attention, love, and responsibility she showed. I highly recommend Anikita to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Janise and her family took amazing care of my dog Faith! She suffers from some anxiety, but they were patient, brought out the best in her, and kept us updated frequently. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Tae is an excellent dog sitter! Our pup Loki has separation anxiety, but took to Tae quickly and seemed to settle in very nicely. Tae was great with communications, and sent frequent updates and pictures, so we were completely at ease while we were away. Thank you so much! We and Loki appreciate your care!”

“Elizabeth and Oleg took such great care of Maia! When I picked her up she was smiley, tired from all the playtime (Maia loves to play and they followed instructions), and so happy. They were so helpful and communicative, I’m already looking to book ahead for November.”

“I could genuinely feel that Chris and his wife are true dog lovers through my interactions with them. They frequently updated me with how my baby was doing and was able to take one of the best pictures of her while she was happily staying with them. Highly recommended!”

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have also cared for other animals like turtles, frogs, rabbits, hamsters and birds. I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, providing walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love and attention. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saddle Brook
We had a great experience all around with our booking with Lisa. Her accommodation to provide a safe and welcoming home for our dog was more than satisfactory! She is a professional. I am hyper vigilant when it comes to my dog, and Lisa addressed and reassured me of my every concern. There was an immediate connection between our dog, Lisa, and her family. I highly recommend Lisa for the excellent service that she provides!
Gracie was so well cared for by Andrew. She is 9 years old, and it was her first time being left with any sitter. It was not easy for Gracie to be separated, and she is skittish. Andrew was able to provide the attention she needed. He also had such a great communication, which helped ease my anxiety. He was patient, calm and knows how to work with dogs who need extra care. I am planning for future care of Gracie in the future.

Amazing dog sitter! She was friendly, flexible, and clearly cared about my dog's comfort the whole time. She sent photo updates throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. My dog loved her instantly and was happy and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommend — will definitely book again!

I booked with Carol for boarding my dog. She was fantastic! She took very good care of my dog and adhered to feedings, walks, play time, and all the fun things my dog loves to do. She communicated well with me and provided pictures and updates each day. I can tell my dog enjoyed his time with her. If I need to board my dog again, I will definitely be booking with Carol again.

Paloma was great! We had our fur baby on her hand for eight nights. Paloma updated everyday how he was doing during our travel with bunch of photos. Our puppy seem to be very happy on her hand. When we picked him up, he seemed to be so sad to be parted with her and refused to leave. He was healthy and happy when he came back home. I will definitely find her again when we have another occasion that we have to leave him behind.

Christina was so communicative and Neptune seemed very well looked after while I was away for a week. When I described Neptunes potential reactivity she took it all in stride and he did very well while he was there, which I’m so grateful for. I will definitely use her services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
