About: I grew up with animals whether be at home and at my family’s farm. I have taken care of cats, dogs, and even farm animals. Neighbors, friends and family have count on me to feed, walk, bathe, as well as administering medications for their pets. I currently have three dogs and three cats which are friendly with each other and other animals. I have experience in training dogs (I trained my past service dog and training my current dog to be a service dog). I have a very large backyard (bigger than the average dog park) that has a 6ft fence surrounding it, it is perfect for dogs that range from not so active to very active. Plenty of space to run and play. I have experience in caring for dogs/cats that have medical issues like diabetes (I have administered insulin on a diabetic dog before), cancer (have given cancer medication to a cat before). I am DOG & CAT CPR+FIRST AID certified. I am home most of the time with my two kids so I will be have the time to care for your pet. I will take on two dogs at a time and two cats at a time seeing as I already have two dogs and cats of my own. I available to board/daycare everyday unless I am on vacation or there is an emergency I need to travel for. I am a certified Dog Trainer; I use positive reinforcement. I own three cats and three dogs. They all are sweet and friendly with other dogs and cats. Your fur baby will have friends to play with and keep them entertained. I also have crates so your fur baby (cat and or dog) can easily be crated. All animals are crated at night, for meal times, if I am putting my children down for their naps, as well as if I need to step out for errands and such. Also offered is bathing/grooming services; unless you have a special shampoo/conditioner (you must provide it if you want that being used), I use brand name: Kindfull Shampoo & Conditioner for dogs. You must provide food for your dog for their entire stay (please label with the pet’s name and amount needed to be given). If there is an emergency with your pet, you will be contacted immediately, if the situation becomes life threatening to the pet and you are not responding in a timely matter they will be taken to the nearest emergency animal hospital. You will be responsible for the vet bill in its entirety from the animal hospital (by agreeing to have me care for your pet(s) you are agreeing to this terms).
“Randi is the best petsitter you can ever get or hope to get! I had to go away for a all week and this was my first time ever leaving my cat with a stranger and in a different house. Before leaving I was a little anxious since my cat is not used at all to be with other people but for the all trip Randi sent me pictures of my cat and kept me posted about how it was going. She literally went above and beyond and I could say from the pictures that she sent me and also when I went to pick up my cat, how good she was with him. I have to say that my cat doesn’t get comfortable with people easily and literally when I went to pick up my cat, he didn’t even wanna leave her place anymore lol She also made sure that he was eating enough and had enough water every day. Randi went to buy extra food and litter without even me asking her to do so, just to make sure that my cat had all he needed. She was super caring and nice with him the all time. Honestly I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend her for your pet. You will be very happy to leave your hairy friend in good hands. Thank you so much Randi. I will certainly book her again.”

“Suleyma was very communicative and sweet. Took Moose on plenty of walks, set up his crate, and sent plenty of pictures and updates. We will be booking her again!”

“Iliana was AMAZING to my Cookies! I received pictures of him and updates while I was away and when I can go pick him up he was freshly bathed and smelled so good! Oh and his bed too! I will definitely be booking with you again! ??”

“This is our second time trusting them with our pups. They provide good updates and pictures during the stay, and are very responsive. Very flexible as well with pick up and drop off times. I will certainly being working with Craig again!”

“Lauryn took excellent care of our Gemma. She was very communicative and gave our puppy girl plenty of exercise and plenty of love. We look forward to boarding Gemma was Lauryn again.”

“Our experience with Mary was EXCELLENT. We had to leave Royal with her for the first time while on vacation because our regular dog sitter was unavailable. Of course we were anxious. Well, she made us feel very safe leaving Royal. She sent us regular updates. She kept him on his feeding and walking schedules. Most of all, Royal was HAPPY. She was caring and you can tell she genuinely loves dogs, not just sits for the money. I will be using Mary in the future and if anyone needs an EXCEPTIONAL dog sitter do not hesitate to use Mary. Your dog will be on vacation while you are too!. I highly recommend her without reservation.”

“Binta could NOT have been better. Igot wonderful pictures of my dog, looking comfortable and content. My "pup" is 9 years old and has not ever been away from me for more than 1 day. A bond was instantly formed. I felt very comfortable leaving Perdita with Binta. It was perfect.”

About: I've had many pets in my life, I've raised 3 dogs and have two cats. I've given basic training to my cats and given senior care to many a dog. I'm in school virtually so I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule and am open to traveling for services. Owning cats also allows me to be free in case of emergencies (they are really understanding). My railroad style apartment was decorated with two frisky kittens in mind so my place is pretty tamper proof. It's easy to isolate them from the rest of the space when (or if) introducing guests and easy to navigate for them with adequate space for play/sleep/snacking or whatever their little hearts desire.
“Imari is amazing! This was the second time she watched my pup and it really does feel like she loves him like her own, which is more than I can ask for. She is super communicative and I received daily pictures and updates. Would definitely book with Imari again and would highly recommend her!!! Thank you Imari!”

“Jessy did an amazing job and was so attentive to my cat and proactively shared daily messages, photos, videos to show how she was doing. My cat bonded with her quickly, which was such a relief, especially given can be reticent around new people. I’ve had such peace of mind and I’m so glad that my cat was so well taken care of. I will definitely use her again to watch my cat!”

“I have a sweet but anxious girl and she was very happy staying with Janise- I could tell by the videos she keep me updated with that she was happy and trusted her - I would highly recommend her and would rebook again!”

“Cristina is an excellent petsitter. From the moment we met her she was very sweet and affectionate with Daphne. I was worried because Daphne is a very energetic dog but Cristina knew how to handle her and Daphne had a lot of fun with her. She went for walks 3 times a day, she received a lot of love. Without hesitation I will leave Daphne with Cristina again.”

“This was my first Rover experience and it could not have been better. Ashley sent photos of my dog throughout my trip away, so I was never worried. Ashley was incredible, attentive, and so communicative. I would definitely reccomend this service, as well as Ashley, to anyone!”

“She is incredibly responsible and full of love. She answered all my questions about Kami and explained everything in detail. I will definitely ask for her help again next time.”

“Angel is amazing with Hanu. I always feel comfortable and safe leaving my fur baby with Angel. Hanu is always excited to see Angel and that makes it even better. Thank you Angel!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hackensack
We had a great experience all around with our booking with Lisa. Her accommodation to provide a safe and welcoming home for our dog was more than satisfactory! She is a professional. I am hyper vigilant when it comes to my dog, and Lisa addressed and reassured me of my every concern. There was an immediate connection between our dog, Lisa, and her family. I highly recommend Lisa for the excellent service that she provides!
Amazing dog sitter! She was friendly, flexible, and clearly cared about my dog's comfort the whole time. She sent photo updates throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. My dog loved her instantly and was happy and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommend — will definitely book again!

Moonyoung and Sunhyung are AMAZING. This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone else and also our first time using Rover. They were so amazing with all of the updates and pictures throughout the day. They took our pup to the park and took him out of walks multiple times a day. They are also super responsive in case you have any questions or concerns. We’re so glad we found people who we can trust!

Christine is great and very caring for my fur baby. She paid attention to Furball’s food and exercises. She also sent tons of great pictures and updates during the stay. Furball had a great time and made new friends. Very happy and I trust her to sit Furball in the future. Thank you Christine

Christina was so communicative and Neptune seemed very well looked after while I was away for a week. When I described Neptunes potential reactivity she took it all in stride and he did very well while he was there, which I’m so grateful for. I will definitely use her services again!

Sandra and San were absolutely exceptional with our dog, Luna. From the moment we met them, it was clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. They went above and beyond in every aspect of Luna’s care. Their attention to safety and protection gave us complete peace of mind, and they took the time to learn every detail of her routine—from her meal schedule to her individual needs and preferences. They even asked for our veterinarian’s name and contact information in advance, which showed how prepared and responsible they are in case of an emergency. Throughout Luna’s stay, we knew she was in loving, capable hands. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine affection they showed her exceeded all of our expectations. We couldn’t recommend Sandra and San more highly. If you’re looking for people who will care for your dog as if they were their own, look no further. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Luna—we will absolutely be booking with you again!!

There is no one I trust more with my little one. Vinny makes sure that Luna is happy and well-loved. She was treated like family, and you could tell she was so at home when I got the pics of her watching TV and getting nighttime cuddles. Knowing that Luna was in great hands made our holiday that much more enjoyable. We will definitely book again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
