“Jessica was absolutely wonderful with Georgia and all of her quirks. From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely cared about Georgia’s happiness and well-being. She took Georgia on lots of adventures, kept her active and engaged, and even spoiled her with treats and bones purchased out of her own pocket. Jessica truly went above and beyond throughout the stay. She was attentive, communicative, and always happy to provide updates whenever I asked. Knowing Georgia was in such caring hands gave me complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jessica again, and I’m confident Georgia would be thrilled to stay with her in the future. Highly recommend!”

“My dog scampi had a great time with Rhinesca and her family. She sent plenty of pictures and kept me up to date with how he was doing. I would bring scampi to her again.”

“We left our little girl Violet, a very loved 5 yo Lhasa Apso, in the care of Sandra and San this past weekend. From the moment Sandra and I met, I could see how loving and caring she was for her own adorable pup, Penny. We did a meet and greet and Violet and Penny got along beautifully! We knew Violet would be in good hands. Throughout the weekend, we received pictures and we could see just how comfortable and happy Violet was! When it was pickup time, all her belongings were together and packed for home. We felt comfortable, confident and excited to find a place we can trust for Violet when she can’t be with us! We highly recommend Sandra and San! Your pups will thank you for it too!”

“Chi took amazing care of Arya! From start to finish, Chi was communicative and thoughtful, and it was clear Arya was having the best time. Chi also sent plenty of pictures and videos, which I really appreciated - it gave me total peace of mind. When I picked Arya up, she was super happy and completely exhausted from all the playing (the best sign!). I’ll absolutely be booking with Chi again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.”

“Ariana is kind and caring, she communicated effectively and kept me updated with everything. She was helpful and quick to act to meet zippy needs. She’s awesome!”

“My dog had the best time with Chulmin and Hoyjin! They were extremely communicative and updated me often with pictures of him during his stay with them. They took amazing care of my fur baby and I can’t recommend them more. Will definitely be continuing with their services! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Janise and her family took amazing care of my dog Faith! She suffers from some anxiety, but they were patient, brought out the best in her, and kept us updated frequently. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Catherine is the absolute best! She is super communicative, easy to reach, and I’ve had seamless booking experiences with her. She is also super understanding! I had flight delays that resulted in me needing a later pick up time at the last minute and she was super accommodating. My dog Jax loves her and Cashew. 10/10 recommend Catherine and I’ll definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Andrea was communicative and conscientious. Her detailed questions before the stay were reassuring in that I could see she was serious about providing the best care possible. She was understanding when my dog had some health issues during the stay. Thank you Andrea!”

“Andrew has been my go-to rover sitter. He always does an exceptional job. I have a very senior dog and Andrew took wonderful care of him and kept my anxiousness at ease. He provides regular updates, is communicative, and flexible. I would absolutely recommend Andrew’s services.”

“Douglas took such good care of June and I didn't worry about her at all during her 2 night stay with him. He sent updates and pictures and answered my texts almost immediately. He is flexible, followed my instructions perfectly and made sure her needs and safety were his number 1 priority. I will definitely board her with him again.”

“Everything was great. Very responsive and sent updates daily. Great fully fenced off backyard for pets to run and play, and also able to separate them back there if needed as well. Would recommend and rebook in the future”

“Briana took care of our dog Happy for 9 days while we were on vacation. She did an amazing job, and we could tell that she and Happy had formed a nice bond. She was very responsive to our texts. We received photos every day of them playing, going on walks, and relaxing together. We did a video call as well to check in. Happy was very comfortable, and enjoyed her time under Brianna's care. We'll definitely hire Brianna again in the future.”

“Sammi and Jason were wonderful hosts to Fala. We had a meet-and-greet at their apartment so Fala could acclimate, which she did right away, and the night's stay went smoothly. Sammi sent me updates and photos, and asked insightful questions about how Fala typically adjusts to new environments (which is to say, a bit tentatively - no worries there). I appreciated the questions and have already booked another stay!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Bentley! From the start, she made me feel completely at ease. Bentley was comfortable, happy, and clearly well cared for the entire time. Mohini recently cared for my small dog while I was traveling, and she exceeded all expectations. As a first-time user of Rover, I was incredibly impressed by her professionalism. She was exceptionally attentive to my dog and provided consistent photo updates that kept me at ease. It was clear my dog felt completely safe and comfortable in her care. I highly recommend Mohini to anyone seeking a dependable, high-quality pet sitter, and I will absolutely be rebooking with her for future travels.

Kinjal was absolutely wonderful with Chloe! She was able to take her at the last minute, which I really appreciated. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and videos, so I could see that Chloe was happy, comfortable, and having a great time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing she was being well taken care of. Kinjal is caring, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. I would definitely trust her with Chloe again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter! 🐶❤️

Chulmin & Hoyjin were great! I was on a weeklong vacation and don't normally leave Chase, but they made me feel comfortable by providing communication and sent photos and videos to let me know that she was doing well in their care. Thanks for looking after my baby girl!

My dog immediately liked Karla and didn't mind a bit when I left the house. Karla did an excellent job of sharing photos and updates during my dog's stay, so I was always at ease. I greatly appreciated how flexible Karla was with the advance notice changes to the pickup and drop off times. If I ever need overnight care again, I've got Karla on speed dial!

To say Caita was a life saver is putting it lightly. She stepped up and rescued Louie from a very stressful situation. Not only did she drive and pick him up , she treated him like it was her own dog. She went above and beyond what was expected of her and turned a nightmare into a dream . I am beyond grateful for Caita and highly recommend her to anyone !

We had a great experience all around with our booking with Lisa. Her accommodation to provide a safe and welcoming home for our dog was more than satisfactory! She is a professional. I am hyper vigilant when it comes to my dog, and Lisa addressed and reassured me of my every concern. There was an immediate connection between our dog, Lisa, and her family. I highly recommend Lisa for the excellent service that she provides!
Moonyoung and Sunhyung are AMAZING. This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone else and also our first time using Rover. They were so amazing with all of the updates and pictures throughout the day. They took our pup to the park and took him out of walks multiple times a day. They are also super responsive in case you have any questions or concerns. We’re so glad we found people who we can trust!

Christian and his family were amazing with our 15-year-old Chihuahua, Cocoa. She has some medical needs, and we were nervous to leave her with a stranger for a week. Christian's experience and friendly, calm demeanor put us at ease. He was patient, understanding and gave her time to adjust. He was in regular communication with me throughout the week, and took photos to show how she was doing. She came home happy. We will definitely be in touch with Christian again when we need a sitter. Thanks so much for giving Cocoa a good week, Christian!

The most amazing sitter ever. I received daily pictures of my sweet girl all day. She was living the dream! My flight was delayed and they were available to keep my Rubi an additional day. It was my first time leaving my sweetie with a sitter and first time using rover but I was at ease knowing she was in good hands! Will definitely book again if I ever go away for vacation.

Paloma was great! We had our fur baby on her hand for eight nights. Paloma updated everyday how he was doing during our travel with bunch of photos. Our puppy seem to be very happy on her hand. When we picked him up, he seemed to be so sad to be parted with her and refused to leave. He was healthy and happy when he came back home. I will definitely find her again when we have another occasion that we have to leave him behind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
