“She's super great and attentive with my dog. My dog is still a young pup and she really paid attention and was willing to do all the small things in order for the training to keep going. Will definitely be a regular!”

“I was so relieved that Beanie was in such good hands with Suely while we were away on a family trip for 10 days. I got pictures and an update every day, seeing Beanie play with other dogs, go for walks, and snuggle with Suely's family. Every day my whole family would stop to look at the pictures, delighting in the knowledge that Suely was taking such good care of our little Beanie. We'll definitely be back!”

“This was our first experience with Desi and Marilyn, We boarded our dogs for 3 days and they received excellent care. It's clear that Desi and Marilyn are dedicated to taking care of pets and they definitely take it seriously. My dogs were well cared for and seemed to have really enjoyed their stay with Desi & Marilyn, I would recommend them for your pets and we will be back.”

“Nancy was great! Looked after our French Bulldog for a few nights. Always a little nervous trying out a new sitter for the first time, but she was communicative and very easy going, with a great fenced in yard. She sent pictures and I could tell she looked after him as if he was her own. Will definitely be using her again. Thanks Nancy!!”

“Manuel is friendly and informative person. He ensures that you are comfortable leaving your pet with him and updates you with pictures and messages consistently. We went away for vacation for a week, and even though we missed Patrick, we rested easy knowing he was in a loving environment. I definitely recommend him to anyone and would definitely take care of Patrick in the future.”

“Karla is amazing!! This is the second time we left our dog under her supervision. She sent us updates every morning and evening which is so great. My dog is paralyzed and needs special attention, but she was so amazing with him. You could easily tell that he loves her. Thank you so much Karla for your patience with Fido!!!! You are THE BEST!!!!”

“We can’t be appreciative enough of the amazing care Randi took of Cody while we were away for a week. She made him feel completely at home, and it showed in every update and picture she sent. He looked so happy, relaxed, and comfortable - it certainly looked like he quickly made himself at home, demanding pets and belly rubs! Picking him up, it was obvious he had been well cared for. He spent the whole ride home pouting and longingly staring out the car window. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such loving hands when we’re away!”

“Teresa is so sweet and kind. You can tell she really loves animals. Kuma had a great time with her and he’s someone that takes a while to warm up other people. It probably helped that her own dogs are so welcoming as well. I highly recommend.”

“Mohini was great with Lola. I reached out to her on the last scheduled day saying I needed her to keep Lola an extra day and she said that would not be a problem. She also shared multiple photos of how Lola was doing. Thanks again Mohini”

“I can't say enough good things about Andrew, and how he took care of Vasya. First off, he was very accommodating with our last-minute boarding request, and was flexible with coordinating our drop-off and pickup times. Throughout Vasya's stay he maintained impeccable communication, sending multiple photos and videos showing all the fun she was having. He took her out for frequent walks, and even a few runs (which he cleared with me in advance, of course). He asked lots of questions to make sure that he was clear on what to expect with Vasya - her likes, dislikes, habits and temperament - and our expectations. When you meet him, you will know that your dog is in very capable hands and will be well cared-for. Thank you, Andrew!”

“Keisy was amazing. She took very good care of my dog (Cocoa), she asked all sorts of relevant questions beforehand so that she can meet all the needs of my Cocoa. It feels like I found a perfect place because she has 2 adorable dogs and it’s like having a play date for my Cocoa. She also sent pictures and videos that brought smile on my face even while being away from him. Oh!! I have to mention, Keisy has such a beautiful place, it is very nice, clean and organized, I was super impressed :)”

“Jhazmin was amazing with our Pomeranian. Jhazmin was very attentive and sweet. She was very responsive and would send multiple updates per day. We FaceTimed with her and our pup multiple times and we could see the care she had for our pup. Our dog has a medical condition that requires constant monitoring and Jhazmin always made us feel at peace with our dog’s medication management. We are very happy with the service Jhazmin provided to our pup for 17 days. We definitely plan to work with her again and we highly recommend her if you’re looking for a responsible and caring dog sitter. ❤️”

“Darien and her family took amazing care of my pup and we are so grateful. We will absolutely be back! She worked with me for a pre meet and greet for myself and my pup. She got my dog to be more comfortable with her food and her surroundings in a new place with ease.”

“Jessica is soooo awesome!! She was so friendly and professional with dealing with my little Momo! She sent daily updates and made us feel comfortable while we were away! She even went above and beyond to ensure Momo was comfortable and that she had treats that she loves and enjoys! Momo had a good time and even enjoyed her little vacation with Jessica. She gave my little girl the princess treatment she enjoys! Will definitely not even hesitate to book her again! She is the best!!”

Funda and family took such great care of Summer while we were away for a long weekend. They were super communicative, and kept us updated with pictures and videos every day. Summer had the best time, especially exercising in the big backyard. We’d leave Summer with Funda and family in a heartbeat, and I know she’d be excited to hang with them again too!

To say Caita was a life saver is putting it lightly. She stepped up and rescued Louie from a very stressful situation. Not only did she drive and pick him up , she treated him like it was her own dog. She went above and beyond what was expected of her and turned a nightmare into a dream . I am beyond grateful for Caita and highly recommend her to anyone !

Katherine took fantastic care of our two pups! This was our first time boarding with her, so naturally a bit nervous, but almost immediately after dropping off we started getting updates about the dogs. Photos and videos, showing happy and well-cared for dogs with wagging tails! Thanks so much for taking such good care of our fur babies and putting us at ease!
Christian and his family were amazing with our 15-year-old Chihuahua, Cocoa. She has some medical needs, and we were nervous to leave her with a stranger for a week. Christian's experience and friendly, calm demeanor put us at ease. He was patient, understanding and gave her time to adjust. He was in regular communication with me throughout the week, and took photos to show how she was doing. She came home happy. We will definitely be in touch with Christian again when we need a sitter. Thanks so much for giving Cocoa a good week, Christian!

The most amazing sitter ever. I received daily pictures of my sweet girl all day. She was living the dream! My flight was delayed and they were available to keep my Rubi an additional day. It was my first time leaving my sweetie with a sitter and first time using rover but I was at ease knowing she was in good hands! Will definitely book again if I ever go away for vacation.

Paloma was great! We had our fur baby on her hand for eight nights. Paloma updated everyday how he was doing during our travel with bunch of photos. Our puppy seem to be very happy on her hand. When we picked him up, he seemed to be so sad to be parted with her and refused to leave. He was healthy and happy when he came back home. I will definitely find her again when we have another occasion that we have to leave him behind.

Oscar was SO EXCITED to go over to Pete's house - I swear, he figured out what was happening 10 minutes beforehand, and waited by the back door for us to let him out. He flew into the house without so much of a backwards glance. Oscar spent several hours with Pete and when he came back home, he was happy and exhausted!! Little snuggle bug went right to sleep. Thank you for keeping him busy and happy, Pete!!!
Maryn and Steven took such good care of Bo! They went above and beyond caring for him since he was have some digestive issues that popped up. Maryn has lots of patience and her care reassured me he was in good hands. Lots of photos and updates. Highly recommend Maryn!

This was my first Rover experience and it could not have been better. Ashley sent photos of my dog throughout my trip away, so I was never worried. Ashley was incredible, attentive, and so communicative. I would definitely reccomend this service, as well as Ashley, to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
