About: I have two siblings with a rescue dog each and I have been the go-to auntie to dogsit for them for years. Anytime anyone’s need to go on a trip, Auntie’s got them 💪. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I can give them the attention, the cuddles, the walks, and the treats they need to be absolutely cared for. I work a remote job from 9-5. It’s not demanding so I have lots of flexibility. I will do walks in the mornings and evenings and can fit in a fun one in the afternoon for a little nature enrichment. Meal times are how the dog parents want. They can have access to my furniture and bed. I see myself as their auntie and they will be treated with the best love and care. She took care of my cat, Simba, for almost a week, and the whole experience felt like dropping him off at a family member’s that I could trust. Stay at Penny’s House: - We’ve raised our 3-year-old mini poodle to be happy, gentle and kind. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and cats! She’s a great hostess. - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard where your beloved fur baby can play fetch and get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in grass and shaded by large trees, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs: diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!
