About: After moving from the UK and recently adopting a little pup from 10 weeks who’s now just under a year old, I’ve had lots of experience training, caring for and playing with energetic dogs! With dogs all throughout my childhood including my springer spaniel Meg, I will always look after your pup as if it were my own, tailoring the energy to exactly what they need. I’m available to walk your dog, have a play with them in your home or mine, or just drop in and feed them! I’m able to look after your pup on my days off from work so I can give them full care and attention! My husband also works from home regularly so will have lots of presence and get plenty of walks and plays in the area around you or our place. I am happy to look after your pup however you need for your home - playing in the yard, relaxing in the living room or just out on a walk, I can always be flexible!

About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!

About: I have two siblings with a rescue dog each and I have been the go-to auntie to dogsit for them for years. Anytime anyone’s need to go on a trip, Auntie’s got them 💪. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I can give them the attention, the cuddles, the walks, and the treats they need to be absolutely cared for. I work a remote job from 9-5. It’s not demanding so I have lots of flexibility. I will do walks in the mornings and evenings and can fit in a fun one in the afternoon for a little nature enrichment. Meal times are how the dog parents want. They can have access to my furniture and bed. I see myself as their auntie and they will be treated with the best love and care. My apartment is right next to a train so there will be loud train noises every few hours. I’m hoping this doesn’t spook the babies but please keep that mind.

This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. After just one visit, I knew that not only could he handle my dog and he would be well-taken care of, but knew they both were about to become buds. I was able to go away and not have any worries, especially since Peter gave very thorough recaps of his visits and pictures. Needless to say, my heart and mind were put at ease and I can’t think him enough for that. I will definitely be utilizing his services in the future and I know Thor will not mind at all.

About: Hi! We’re Lisa and Hojin, lifelong dog lovers who will welcome your pet into our home like a member of our family. Lisa’s love for animals began when she got her first dog at four years old. Since then, she has cared for many dogs and cats and gained hands-on experience with walking, feeding, bathing, and daily pet care. Her father is a veterinarian, so she grew up learning from him how to understand animals and care for them safely and attentively. Hojin is the primary caregiver and is available on both weekdays and weekends. He is an active and attentive dog dad who enjoys walks, playtime, and making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Lisa joins him on weekends, giving your pet even more companionship and affection. We currently share our home with Bacon, our sweet six-year-old neutered Corgi. We understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog stays with us for daycare or boarding, or joins us for a walk, we’ll care for them with patience, attention, exercise, and lots of love—just as we do for Bacon. Hojin is available for pet care throughout the week, including both weekdays and weekends, so he can provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. Lisa helps care for our guests on weekends, providing additional companionship and affection. We can adjust our routine to match your dog’s usual feeding, walking, sleeping, and potty schedule as closely as possible. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We share our home with Bacon, our friendly six-year-old neutered Corgi. We introduce dogs carefully, supervise their interactions, and provide separate spaces or feeding areas when needed. We follow each owner’s instructions regarding meals, walks, medication, potty breaks, and sleeping arrangements. We do not routinely confine dogs in a crate, but we can follow your dog’s established crate routine if requested. We will also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can feel comfortable while you’re away.

About: I’ve had animals all my life including cats, dogs, and I had a rabbit once. I’ve helped take care of sick dogs and cats, and have taken care of puppies and kittens. I was also apart of my animal club in high school where I got to donate to animal shelters and interacted with animals in that setting. I have a flexible schedule, so pet care can easily be a regular part of my day and week. I really enjoy spending time with animals and am happy to structure my routine around their needs, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company. I want every pet in my care to feel comfortable, loved, and well taken care of while their family is away. I care for every pet as if they were my own! I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while sticking to their normal routine as much as possible. I’m happy to follow any feeding, walking, medication, playtime, or bedtime instructions you provide. I also keep a close eye on their behavior and make sure their space stays clean and comfortable. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease.

About: Open, adaptable daytime schedule that allows for prompt visits without rushing through routine care. Prompt, detailed updates after every walk or drop in, so you know exactly how your pet is doing while you're away. As a student with an extremely flexible and light class schedule, pet care is my primary focus. Because I am not tied to a traditional 9-to-5 job, I can match your dog or cat’s exact schedule for feeding, exercise, and playtime without rushing I provide attentive, reliable care right in your pet's safe environment. For drop in visits, I handle all feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard cleanup, and plenty of undivided attention. For dog walking, I tailor the pace and route to your dog's energy level, making sure they get safe exercise and mental stimulation. I always double check locked doors, secure leashes, and send detailed photo updates before I leave so you have complete peace of mind.

About: 🐾 What Sets Me Apart I offer something most sitters can’t—true flexibility and consistent availability. I’m available evenings and weekends now, and once summer hits, I’m fully available every day, giving your pup reliable care without gaps or last-minute changes. I love building real connections with dogs, not just quick visits. Whether it’s a high-energy walk, playtime, or just keeping your dog company, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for like they’re my own. I’m dependable, patient, and detail-oriented—so you can trust that your dog’s routine, safety, and happiness always come first. I’m also happy to meet ahead of time so you and your pup feel completely comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available for walks and visits during evenings and weekends right now, and I make sure to plan my schedule so each dog gets my full attention and care. During the summer, my routine becomes completely open, which allows me to provide consistent, flexible care throughout the day—whether that’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or longer visits. I enjoy staying active, so dog walking and spending time with pets is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize in my day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets feel right at home. In my apartment complex, we have access to a dog park, which is perfect for exercise, playtime, and socialization (if your dog enjoys being around others). I also have a very friendly and playful dog who loves the company of other dogs, which can be great for pets who enjoy having a buddy to play with. Inside my home, I keep a calm and structured space where pets can relax, stick to their routine, and feel secure. I make sure they get plenty of attention, play, and affection—while also respecting their individual needs and energy levels. Whether your dog loves being active or prefers to lounge, I adjust to what makes them happiest. I prioritize safety at all times, keep a close eye on all pets, follow feeding schedules, and carefully stick to any specific instructions you provide. Cleanliness, consistency, and communication are very important to me, so you’ll always feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: I have had dogs since I was 8 years old, from Standard Poodle’s, to Shih tzu’s, to Boxer/Bulldogs! I have tons of experience with pups of all sizes. At the moment, I have to amazing dogsLouie and Lennon. Louie is a Retriever/Setter mix and Lennon and is Coonhound, both rescues. I have had Louie from 8 weeks old and am a pro with puppies and older dogs alike. Before my two loves, I had a Boxer/Bulldog mix Hudson. She was the epitome of a “gentle giant”. I know it sounds cliche, but large of small, I really do love every single one of them! I am currently working Freelance and am able to adjust my schedule as needed to provide the best care for your pups. I also love to run and love to friends come with me! I have a fenced in yard and two super friendly pups at home. If needed I can use a crate for your (or my!) pups if needed. Whatever matches the level of care they receive at home.

About: Welcome to Lovely Momo’s Family! We live in a townhouse with a big dog park, a yard, and walking trails throughout the town. It’s a very safe place for both dogs and even children. We go for walks 2–3 times a day, and playing with our girl, Momo, is the happiest part of our day. Here are the daily care routine for Momo❣️ 🌟 Brushing teeth (we also have non-brush dental foam spray) 🌟 Cleaning eyelids & ears 🌟 Combing her fur (detangle spray, brush, comb) 🌟 Feeding nutritional supplements 🌟 Family playtime! 🎾 If you'd like, we can provide the same care for your dog as well! I’m currently taking a break from work to plan my pregnancy and also looking for a job that allows me to work from home, so I can take care of dogs anytime, 7 days and nights. We have human-grade quality treats, nutritional supplements, and dried food for dogs. Sometimes, I make fresh vegetable-mixed treats and am well aware of what foods are good for dogs. Momo especially loves vegetables and fruits, so we prefer giving her carrots, celery, and blueberries rather than just regular snacks.

About: My journey with caring for pets finally began in my undergraduate career at Rutgers University. Previously, I had helped to care for my aunts pets and took care of my own until we had to give him away. My favorite thing about taking care of your favorite family member is how I can see them adapt to a new environment and warm up to me. It’s beautiful to know that we can all connect w animals in an intimate way. I have a park right next to my house and a wooded area & fenced field where they can run around freely. Making sure they are having a good time and are healthy is my main priority. Dog loving is what I was made for.

I cannot recommend Victoria enough! I’ve had my dog Nala for six years, and this was actually the first time I’ve ever gone away and left her in someone else’s care without having a family member or someone I personally know stay with her. I’ve always been extremely nervous about leaving her because Nala can be very reactive and aggressive toward other dogs after being bitten a few years ago, so I don’t trust just anyone with her. From the very beginning, Victoria was so understanding of Nala’s needs and completely respectful of the fact that she can be difficult around other dogs. She handled everything so calmly and confidently, and I felt like Nala was in really good hands. What meant the most to me was that Victoria went above and beyond what I expected. She didn’t just come in, take Nala for a walk, and leave. She spent extra time with her inside, hung out with her, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her the attention and companionship she needed while we were away. You could genuinely tell that she cared about Nala and wasn’t just there to do a job. As someone who has always had a hard time trusting other people with my dog, Victoria gave me something I honestly didn’t think I’d have on vacation: peace of mind. I was able to enjoy my trip without constantly worrying about how Nala was doing, and that meant so much to me. I am so grateful we found Victoria, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and genuinely great with dogs. I will absolutely be using her again! Nala loved having her, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of her. ❤️🐾

Bryndon is great! Our dog usually barks at everyone that comes in the house. She did not bark at all with Bryndon. She met him at the door and after a few sniffs, sat down so he could pet her! Bryndon was very engaged in learning about Miracle's personality and quirks. He was engaged with her and at the same time maintained full control of her (she can pull at times). Bryndon was also very attentive to everything we shared with him about Miracle and we are very confident that Miracle will be in great hands on her walks with Bryndon.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Hasbrouck Heights. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Hasbrouck Heights.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
