About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I have rescued my dogs while traveling through South America since 2022 and have been taking care of them. The old one is 5 yrs old and the second one is 2yrs old. I work remotely so I spend all day with my dogs except for when I have to run errands. This is why I can fit drop visits and walks throughout the day since I work from home. I have a fenced backyard if dogs need to play outside but also if they need to stay in a crate I can help with that. I have experience with walking small- large dogs.
“Thank you for much for taking great care of Pinot. You were able to see quickly he is a sick little guy and gave him extra care of love. Appreciate the extra attention. I’ll surely reach out again!!!!”
“I cannot recommend Victoria enough! I’ve had my dog Nala for six years, and this was actually the first time I’ve ever gone away and left her in someone else’s care without having a family member or someone I personally know stay with her. I’ve always been extremely nervous about leaving her because Nala can be very reactive and aggressive toward other dogs after being bitten a few years ago, so I don’t trust just anyone with her. From the very beginning, Victoria was so understanding of Nala’s needs and completely respectful of the fact that she can be difficult around other dogs. She handled everything so calmly and confidently, and I felt like Nala was in really good hands. What meant the most to me was that Victoria went above and beyond what I expected. She didn’t just come in, take Nala for a walk, and leave. She spent extra time with her inside, hung out with her, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her the attention and companionship she needed while we were away. You could genuinely tell that she cared about Nala and wasn’t just there to do a job. As someone who has always had a hard time trusting other people with my dog, Victoria gave me something I honestly didn’t think I’d have on vacation: peace of mind. I was able to enjoy my trip without constantly worrying about how Nala was doing, and that meant so much to me. I am so grateful we found Victoria, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and genuinely great with dogs. I will absolutely be using her again! Nala loved having her, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of her. ❤️🐾”

“This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. After just one visit, I knew that not only could he handle my dog and he would be well-taken care of, but knew they both were about to become buds. I was able to go away and not have any worries, especially since Peter gave very thorough recaps of his visits and pictures. Needless to say, my heart and mind were put at ease and I can’t think him enough for that. I will definitely be utilizing his services in the future and I know Thor will not mind at all.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and had the privilege of sharing 14 wonderful years with my pug, Daisy. She taught me patience, responsibility, and just how much love and companionship a dog can bring. Since then, I’ve continued caring for my neighbors’ dogs, whether it’s feeding them, taking them for walks, playing with them, or simply keeping them company while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own, and I’ll always provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available before and after work, on evenings, and on weekends. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet’s routine consistent, and make sure they always have fresh water, meals, exercise, and plenty of attention. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you know they’re happy and well cared for.

About: I absolutely love caring for animals. I used to be a receptionist at a vet clinic and love meeting new pets. I am a dog owner myself, which has allowed me to learn more about dogs and their individual needs. I have experience administering oral medications. I have also learned to figure out if something is wrong, or if they need medical care. I will make sure to care for your pet as if it was my own. I know it’s hard leaving our pets so please let me know what I can do to make it as comfortable as possible for you and your pet. I recently moved to New Jersey and I’m currently unemployed. I am a mom to a toddler, and I’m unable to do any long term overnight stays, but may make an exception if it’s only a day. I can feed your pet, administer medication, take them on walks or just simply hang out so they are not lonely while you are gone.
“Rivera is amazing with my Mango—He felt comfortable and ran into her arms on the very first meet! He seems to anticipate & enjoy each walk and comes back an exhausted pup. I highly recommend Rivera...your pup won’t be disappointed ?”

Thomas walking our dog allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. Our dog was comfortable and happy with him from the first meeting which is a testament to how good Thomas is with dogs. Every walk was right on time. We would recommend him without hesitation. I am very grateful that we found someone that we can trust with our furry family member.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
