This was our quick test to make sure our dog (and we) could handle the separation for a short period of time, as a bridge to boarding her for a longer stretch of time. I was also apart of my animal club in high school where I got to donate to animal shelters and interacted with animals in that setting. “Let me save you some time...if you need a cat sitter and Rita is available, do yourself a favor and just reserve her services. She took care of my cat, Simba, for almost a week, and the whole experience felt like dropping him off at a family member’s that I could trust. Ditto other reviews, Rita’s communication was top notch – pro-actively providing health and status updates and sharing fun pictures/videos at least few times a day. It's very obvious she has a genuine affection for pets. She also exercised a lot of patience approaching and gaining my cat’s trust as he’s very skittish especially in a new environment. Her distinctive ability to read my cat’s body language ensured that Simba was always within his comfort zone (literally the cat whisperer!!) Additionally, her set up’s great with a separate room in her apartment that provided Simba with privacy and alone time that all cats need. Could not recommend her enough for cat sitting!! “This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. After just one visit, I knew that not only could he handle my dog and he would be well-taken care of, but knew they both were about to become buds. I was able to go away and not have any worries, especially since Peter gave very thorough recaps of his visits and pictures. About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!

I’m available Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 8am. And I have an hour lunch at 12pm. And get out of work at 5pm. I have plenty of time to walk your dog and check on your pets. Monday and Tuesday I can walk your dog or check in on your dog or cat between 7am-7:30am or after 6pm I make sure to always have the dogs on a leash when taking them outside, especially when they don’t know me so that they don’t run away. I make sure to earn their trust and play with them. I make sure to follow the directions of the owners.
About: I am an army veteran that has spent his recent years caring for dogs both of owners and strays and have loved the experience. Pets provide a joy and fulfillment that I can find nowhere else. I believe that pets deserve more than just responsible attention and a loving home, they deserve to be treated with utmost dignity and should also have a learning experience in the process. I have become well versed in training of dogs and would be more than happy to either review or even instill basic training skills. Pets and dogs in particular have become a necessary factor of my own personal happiness. It would be my honor and privilege to be able to provide a special care for a special little friend.

About: My journey with caring for pets finally began in my undergraduate career at Rutgers University. Previously, I had helped to care for my aunts pets and took care of my own until we had to give him away. My favorite thing about taking care of your favorite family member is how I can see them adapt to a new environment and warm up to me. It’s beautiful to know that we can all connect w animals in an intimate way. I have a park right next to my house and a wooded area & fenced field where they can run around freely. Making sure they are having a good time and are healthy is my main priority. Dog loving is what I was made for.

Hojin is the primary caregiver and is available on both weekdays and weekends. Lisa joins him on weekends, giving your pet even more companionship and affection. We currently share our home with Bacon, our sweet six-year-old neutered Corgi. We understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog stays with us for daycare or boarding, or joins us for a walk, we’ll care for them with patience, attention, exercise, and lots of love—just as we do for Bacon. Hojin is available for pet care throughout the week, including both weekdays and weekends, so he can provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. Lisa helps care for our guests on weekends, providing additional companionship and affection. We can adjust our routine to match your dog’s usual feeding, walking, sleeping, and potty schedule as closely as possible. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. About: I have taken care of pets since I was a teenager. My own, family and friends. I feed them, walk them, bathe them, and even hand feed them if necessary. I work hybrid and I can care for pets Monday to Saturday from 8 to 6 pm for now. I can do some weekends if arrangements are made in advance. My backyard is fenced, we have plenty of indoor space for the pet to use and I can crate your pet if have them accustomed to it. We have a central air conditioning for those hot days.
