About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!

About: Hello!! I’m Zainab, an owner of 2 silly cats and I would love to take care of your furry loved one! Spending time with pets genuinely makes me happy and it shows in the type of care I give them. Finding the appropriate pet care is just as stressful as finding the right care for your human child. A few of my qualities like being patient, reliable, and responsible can help ease your mind especially when you are far away from your pet. I will always stay in touch and give regular check-ins with a photo of your pet so you can see how they are doing. Yours and your pets comfort is my priority. I’m there to make your pet feel safe, loved and cared for no matter what their big personality brings. They can be shy, energetic, cuddly or even a bit stubborn. I’ve taken care of friends and family’s dogs and I care for my 2 cats including one of my cats that needs his daily oral allergy medication. I’d love to meet you and your furry best friend! I am currently unemployed and looking to fill up some of my time looking after your pets. My time is pretty flexible to give them all the attention they need! I try my best to keep up with your pets same schedule and routine so they do not feel lonely or stressed without their human their. And of course there will be extra attention and play time going around.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I have rescued my dogs while traveling through South America since 2022 and have been taking care of them. The old one is 5 yrs old and the second one is 2yrs old. I work remotely so I spend all day with my dogs except for when I have to run errands. This is why I can fit drop visits and walks throughout the day since I work from home. I have a fenced backyard if dogs need to play outside but also if they need to stay in a crate I can help with that. I have experience with walking small- large dogs.

This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. After just one visit, I knew that not only could he handle my dog and he would be well-taken care of, but knew they both were about to become buds. I was able to go away and not have any worries, especially since Peter gave very thorough recaps of his visits and pictures. Needless to say, my heart and mind were put at ease and I can’t think him enough for that. I will definitely be utilizing his services in the future and I know Thor will not mind at all.

With dogs all throughout my childhood including my springer spaniel Meg, I will always look after your pup as if it were my own, tailoring the energy to exactly what they need. I’m able to look after your pup on my days off from work so I can give them full care and attention! My husband also works from home regularly so will have lots of presence and get plenty of walks and plays in the area around you or our place. About: I absolutely love caring for animals. I used to be a receptionist at a vet clinic and love meeting new pets. I am a dog owner myself, which has allowed me to learn more about dogs and their individual needs. I have experience administering oral medications. I have also learned to figure out if something is wrong, or if they need medical care. I will make sure to care for your pet as if it was my own. I know it’s hard leaving our pets so please let me know what I can do to make it as comfortable as possible for you and your pet. I recently moved to New Jersey and I’m currently unemployed. I am a mom to a toddler, and I’m unable to do any long term overnight stays, but may make an exception if it’s only a day. I can feed your pet, administer medication, take them on walks or just simply hang out so they are not lonely while you are gone.

About: Hi, I’m Kaila. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who will give your dog extra love, you’ve come to the right place! Other than being responsible and caring, my goal is to understand every client’s wants and needs. Let me know if you have any special requests, and I would be sure to accommodate them. I send updates while taking care of your pet so that you can rest assured that your dog is safe with me. I know how much the protection of your pet means to you, so that is my #1 priority! As for my background, I have interned at Oradell Animal Hospital observing surgeries, sitting in on clinical appointments, and familiarizing myself with different dog breeds and their unique personalities and medical needs. I have also worked as a Veterinary Assistant, assisting veterinarians during handling, exams and medical procedures. I have just graduated with my Bachelor's Degree and am working part-time as a medical receptionist so I have extra time to look after your furry loved ones. I have pivoted my career path but I still have a special place in my heart for caring for animals and am on Rover to fulfill that! I can also take care of cats or any small animals. I am able to provide plenty of quality time with your pups! My schedule is that I work part-time and I try to keep my Calendar updated as much as I can. Safety is a top priority. I always stay attentive when opening/closing front doors and make sure there isn’t anything unsafe on the floor or reachable for your pet! In terms of play, I love to provide your dogs with mental and physical stimulation. Bring your dog’s favorite toys and treats, and I’ll be sure to have some fun with them and make your dog feel comfortable. I look forward to get to know you and your wonderful dog soon.

About: We are a husband and wife team so you’re getting 2 sitters for the price of 1! I’ve had all sorts of pets from fish, to reptiles, amphibians, rodents, dogs, cats, and marsupials. I am a life long animal lover and have owned all different breeds of dogs including a few of the more“stubborn” breeds such as a husky, a chow/Doberman mix, and a pitbull, so I am willing and able to care for breeds with strong personalities. I have also had plenty of experience with little dogs, such as my 16 year old chihuahua and my moms Pomeranian, so I am also well versed in dealing with DIVAS! I have watched MANY puppies and worked on their leash skills, basic commands, and I think just being around other dogs really helps puppies figure out what is acceptable, they learn so much from one another. I have also had 2 dogs who lived to be at least 16 years old so I know how to work with seniors and have systems for carrying larger old dogs up/down our outside steps when they need to go potty. I am also well versed and comfortable with administering oral medication. I own a two family home (side by side units) and my unit is a two floor three bedroom home. I have an unfenced yard and a large front porch so on a leash your pet can spend plenty of time outside. This is my full time job so I am home majority of the time and my husband works as a coach in the evenings. So basically, there is only ever about an hour where dogs are left alone at home. During this time they will either be in crates of gated areas to ensure they’re not able to get into any trouble. Typically my 11 year old daughter is also home with them during that hour but for everyone’s safety she doesn’t let them out of their respective crates or gated areas when she is home alone. We have a large un fenced yard and our home is two floors. We try to keep the dogs confined to the first floor all day, so that we can have an eye on them at all times. If certain dogs require sleeping with us, then those dogs are brought upstairs at night to our bedroom. We separate them for feeding times, either with gates, playpens, or crates. That’s just an extra precaution so no fights over food could ever occur. We can separate the first floor into 3 sections, living room, dining room, and kitchen, if necessary. We also have a gate up on the porch so that the dogs can safely hang out outside when the weather permits. Always supervised and we also have cameras.

I cannot recommend Victoria enough! I’ve had my dog Nala for six years, and this was actually the first time I’ve ever gone away and left her in someone else’s care without having a family member or someone I personally know stay with her. I’ve always been extremely nervous about leaving her because Nala can be very reactive and aggressive toward other dogs after being bitten a few years ago, so I don’t trust just anyone with her. From the very beginning, Victoria was so understanding of Nala’s needs and completely respectful of the fact that she can be difficult around other dogs. She handled everything so calmly and confidently, and I felt like Nala was in really good hands. What meant the most to me was that Victoria went above and beyond what I expected. She didn’t just come in, take Nala for a walk, and leave. She spent extra time with her inside, hung out with her, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her the attention and companionship she needed while we were away. You could genuinely tell that she cared about Nala and wasn’t just there to do a job. As someone who has always had a hard time trusting other people with my dog, Victoria gave me something I honestly didn’t think I’d have on vacation: peace of mind. I was able to enjoy my trip without constantly worrying about how Nala was doing, and that meant so much to me. I am so grateful we found Victoria, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and genuinely great with dogs. I will absolutely be using her again! Nala loved having her, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of her. ❤️🐾

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wallington. On Rover:

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
