“Jinghong was a life saver! We had a last minute request and she worked with us to make it work and even made time for a meet and greet!! She gave multiple updates and made us feel comfortable trusting her with our pup. Cannot recommend enough!!”

“Ms. Xunzi was super kind and super wonderful the whole time my dog went for a walk with her! She kept me updated throughout the walk and sent me pictures as well. Definitely will book again! Thank you so much”

“This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. After just one visit, I knew that not only could he handle my dog and he would be well-taken care of, but knew they both were about to become buds. I was able to go away and not have any worries, especially since Peter gave very thorough recaps of his visits and pictures. Needless to say, my heart and mind were put at ease and I can’t think him enough for that. I will definitely be utilizing his services in the future and I know Thor will not mind at all.”

“Neil took great of my pup, making sure she had her walks throughout the day. He was incredibly responsive and checked to see if there was anything my pup needed.”

“Scarlet was extremely communicative, sweet and timely. She kept me updated and informed and even made time for a meet and greet a few days before since my pup can get a little nervous around new people. Will definitely be using her services again!!”

About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I've spent time and cared for several dogs as well and would gladly care for yours while you are away. I've had a lot of good experiences with them - I’m good pals with my landlady's pitbull and my dad’s chocolate lab! I’ll give your dog lots of attention and be mindful of their personality, especially during walks. I’ve had some anxious ones that can get a bit testy when they see other dogs during walks and I’ve handled them well. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can swap my shift if need be to provide your pet with the care it needs. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!
About: I have walked dogs for the last three years, on and off, ranging all the way to 100 pounds. I also have experience with blind and deaf dogs. I have my own 4 year old 60lb husky as well! I am currently on summer break from my job, so I am available seven days a week until August 15. There is a chance that day may change. I always make sure I feel comfortable taking the dog outside. I have the strength to keep bigger dogs away from others if necessary. I also am capable of running with dogs.
About: Hello my name is Jose but I rather be called JC. I’ve been a dog walker for 5 years now. I have two dogs so I know how to deal with more than one dog while walking around. I usually walk around my dogs around riverside or central park cause it open and has a lot of fresh air. I’m not used to house sitting but I'm willing to but a week in advance. I'm also not used to taking care of cats but if needed I will take care of only hypoallergenic cats. (just in case I'm allergic) I love animals of all shape and sizes and I'm looking forward to anyone that is looking for my services. 3 word to best describe me will be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
“Ruth has been walking both of my dogs for the last couple of weeks and she’s been such a help to me and my family! She’s very punctual, has excellent communication, and is super reliable. Highly recommend!”

We treat every dog like family, giving them lots of love, attention, and care. We’re patient, responsible, and love building trust with both pets and their people. After summer break, we’re available Friday nights and weekends to give your pup the care they deserve. We care deeply about each dog and always follow the client’s requests closely. While we live in an apartment, we’re just steps away from a large park, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor time and walks. “I went abroad and needed someone to check on my dog and give him some extra love while he stayed with my dad. Erica was amazing and went above and beyond my expectations! She sent several photos of him, which were the highlight of my day while I was missing him so much. I would absolutely recommend her and will use her next time we go away!”

“I was so pleased with the Antony's service and commitment to caring for Winnie. Antony goes above and beyond to help. I am a repeat customer and he never disappoints. I’ve recommended Antony to all my friends and family, and I will continue to do so! You should definitely give him a try, you won't be disappointed.”

“I could not recommend Carly enough! My dog had surgery and I was incredibly anxious to leave him with anyone, but I had to look around on Rover as he had to be supervised post-surgery while I went to work. Right from meeting her, both my dog and I loved her! She is so caring, accommodating, and communicative. She sent me updates and photos throughout the day. I honestly can’t wait to book her again!”
About: Hi! I’m Jessica, and I’ve spent the last 18 years working hands-on in the pet industry. My career began in the PetSmart Pet Hotel, and since then I’ve managed multiple boarding facilities, worked as an animal control officer, mentored as a dog trainer, and now specialize in pet nutrition. Because of my background, I’m very comfortable with all personalities—especially pups who struggle in busy kennel environments. Over the years, I’ve opened my home to dogs with anxiety, behavioral quirks, medical needs, or those who just need a calmer, more personalized environment. I’ve cared for everything from dogs and cats to small animals and exotics, and I treat every pet like one of my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. If you're looking for a sitter who is experienced, patient, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’m here to help! I currently have the option to work from or bring your furry baby to my pet friendly safe office space. I am a pet nutritionist! I care for pets by treating them as they are one of my own! I will work with you to understand what your individual pet needs to feel safe and comfortable while they stay with me.

I cannot recommend Victoria enough! I’ve had my dog Nala for six years, and this was actually the first time I’ve ever gone away and left her in someone else’s care without having a family member or someone I personally know stay with her. I’ve always been extremely nervous about leaving her because Nala can be very reactive and aggressive toward other dogs after being bitten a few years ago, so I don’t trust just anyone with her. From the very beginning, Victoria was so understanding of Nala’s needs and completely respectful of the fact that she can be difficult around other dogs. She handled everything so calmly and confidently, and I felt like Nala was in really good hands. What meant the most to me was that Victoria went above and beyond what I expected. She didn’t just come in, take Nala for a walk, and leave. She spent extra time with her inside, hung out with her, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her the attention and companionship she needed while we were away. You could genuinely tell that she cared about Nala and wasn’t just there to do a job. As someone who has always had a hard time trusting other people with my dog, Victoria gave me something I honestly didn’t think I’d have on vacation: peace of mind. I was able to enjoy my trip without constantly worrying about how Nala was doing, and that meant so much to me. I am so grateful we found Victoria, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and genuinely great with dogs. I will absolutely be using her again! Nala loved having her, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of her. ❤️🐾

Thomas walking our dog allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. Our dog was comfortable and happy with him from the first meeting which is a testament to how good Thomas is with dogs. Every walk was right on time. We would recommend him without hesitation. I am very grateful that we found someone that we can trust with our furry family member.

This was my first time using Rover or any dog walking service, let alone have anyone aside from myself, dad, or brother take care of my pup. And I have ZERO regrets. Natalia was absolutely wonderful with Vali! She was incredibly flexible with scheduling, which made the whole process so easy for me. She took amazing care of him, made sure he got plenty of walks, and kept me updated the entire time with the sweetest photos and messages. It gave me total peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. You can really tell Natalia genuinely loves dogs and treats them like her own. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter, and I will definitely be booking with her again!

Daisy trusted Michelle the moment she met her and is so happy when she drops in for her visits. She is very attentive to her needs, responds quickly to my messages and is flexible with me. She has a very calming demeanor to her which is exactly what my anxious Daisy needs. Highly recommend!

We’ve had such a great experience with our dog walker, Xavier! He’s been walking our two dogs, Koda and Miso, and I honestly couldn’t ask for better care. Both dogs have their own personalities, and he handles each of them so well—making sure they get the right amount of exercise, attention, and love. I always feel at ease knowing Koda and Miso are in good hands. Xavier is reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the dogs he works with. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in how happy and relaxed my pups are after every walk. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!

Jing was wonderful with Bailey. He was a little nervous today because it’s only a few days in our new apt, so he don’t finish his breakfast. Jing sat with him and hand fed him a couple morsels, helping him to feel comfortable and then he finished the rest on his own. I highly recommend Jing and will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
