“Juan and his family took great care of our dog while we were out of town for a week. He was quick to respond to our messages and provided us with updates as to how she was doing. We would gladly use his services again in the future.”

“Bottom line - Xunzi was great and we will use her service again. Xunzi took care of Nala, our rescue dog, while we were on vacation. We got many photos and videos, and ongoing updates about how Nala was doing. We got Nala back happy and healthy. Thanks Xunzi!”

“Kira had such a great time at Maureen’s for her 2 night stay! Maureen gave Kira lots of attention which we appreciated since Kira can be a bit anxious. Maureen also watches Kira on a regular basis for doggy day care and is always great with her! We would not hesitate to have Kira over for a future stay!”

“Maggie enjoyed her stay with Carolina! I felt very comfortable leaving Maggie there. I received updates and pictures during her stay. She also enjoyed playing with her dog Daisy! I will definitely be using Carolina again! Thank you so much Carolina for taking such good care of Maggie during her stay!”

“Shamel is my dogs new friend. He was very pleasant and keeps a very clean home. His wife is also very nice. I would 100 percent use him again. My dog came home happy and healthy”

“I will give Kate 10/10 I can feel when I picked up my dog ,my furry daughter had been taken care of. And she keep me updated everyday which is amazing. And my dog is old and not many Dogsitter really know how to take care of old dog due to my previous experience of dog sitter. I just rebook Kate again for my upcoming gateway family and I feel assured that my dog will feels like home with her.”

“We had an amazing experience with Andrew. He is a very skilled dog trainer and caregiver. Our dog Vita likes to set her out rules, but Andrew managed to tame her and made her obey the rules. Besides she had a great time with other dogs while running, playing and exercising with them. We got photos and videos at our dog twice a day, which was really helpful because we missed her a lot. After three weeks our Vita returned to us trained and in a good fit and mood. Highly recommended!”

“Mohini was great with Lola. I reached out to her on the last scheduled day saying I needed her to keep Lola an extra day and she said that would not be a problem. She also shared multiple photos of how Lola was doing. Thanks again Mohini”

“We had a very last minute puppy sitter need and we were so grateful to have found these amazing sitters on Rover! They seem to be very experienced with dogs at varying sizes, types, ages and personalities!! Our puppy had an amazing day. She didn’t exhibit any separation anxiety. Rather, she seemed to have had too much fun and was super well taken care of. She was not really eating her kibbles before and look for more wet food or treats but now she seems to even eat better! Thank you so much Chulmin and Hoyjin for the amazing day that you presented to Judo! We will be looking for your help soon again not just to leave the dog with the sitter but because Judo seems to have so much fun with you guys and your dog :). Thank you!”

“I am writing my 2nd review about Cathy because i dint have enough goods things to say!! I was away for 9 days...very long for my pup and she was taken care of so well and most importantly loved!! My pup is use to interaction and being close to us. Cathy sent me constant photos and updates to comfort me while we were away. Even though other dogs were also there i know she saw my dogs needs and made sure she was happy. % star recommendation and i will only use Cathy!!”

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have also cared for other animals like turtles, frogs, rabbits, hamsters and birds. Growing up surrounded by pets sparked a lifelong passion for animal care, and I’ve been caring for them ever since. I used to run my own dog-sitting business in the neighborhood where I grew up. I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, providing walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love and attention. It was a rewarding experience that helped me build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I’ve also cared for cats and other small animals, always making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I take pride in providing dependable, compassionate care as if they were my own. As a teacher, I have a consistent schedule that allows me to care for dogs before work, after work, and throughout the weekends. On weekdays, your dog will receive plenty of attention in the mornings and evenings, and if boarding with me, they’ll have the companionship of my friendly dog during the day. I’m also available for overnight stays, boarding on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, giving your pet plenty of love, exercise, and personalized care while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets become part of the family, receiving plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and your pet’s routine by following feeding schedules, providing walks, playtime, medications if needed, and lots of companionship. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality and needs to ensure they receive the best possible care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Cristina was amazing with Raven during our week away! She sent daily updates and adorable photos & videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely loves dogs—not just saying it, but truly showing it in how she cares. Raven came home happy, relaxed, and maybe a little bit spoiled (in the best way). Highly recommend!”

“Cheyenne is the best! She keeps us updated daily with photos and is very attentive to special needs especially for our older dog Jenny. This was our biggest concern, but we found out quickly that that was not an issue at all. We have great trust and comfort in her caregiving. You won’t be disappointed!”
About: I don’t just watch pets but I truly bond with them! I’ve had my own cats for years and have been the trusted dog sitter for my family and friends since college, so I’ve seen it all and loved every minute of it. I’ll make sure to send you plenty of photos so you can see exactly how much fun they're having. My goal is to make sure your furry babies feel safe, happy, and totally spoiled while you’re away! I have flexible in office days. Most of weeks, I go in Tuesday through Thursday and my husband go in Monday through Wednesday. I don’t make plans during the week so will be home all day and flexible on the weekends. I make sure to regularly update my availability to reflect my exact schedule, so you can always count on me being there when I say I will. My husband is also around most of times! Whether it’s a workday or the weekend, your pet will have constant companionship and a steady routine. My priority is keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible to keep them happy and stress free. In my home, your pet becomes part of the family, with plenty of cozy spots for naps, dedicated playtime, and a safe, supervised environment where they can feel right at home. Regardless of the setting, I make sure they get all the exercise, cuddles, and mental stimulation they need, topped off with daily updates to let you know how they’re doing. I live in a spacious 2 bedroom so your pet will have plenty of space to roam around as well. I would love to have a details and instructions as I know every pet is different and I’m very good at following the instructions!

“Jinyi was and angel!!! She was constantly in contact with me sending me updates of my Nala. She was extremely caring and Nala loved it. The best part was that Nala loved and learned so much from Norman, Jinyi’s golden retriever who is so sweet and such a well-behaved boy. She has done such an amazing job with training Norman and Nala benefited so much from it. I am definitely planning to send Nala back to her 💕💕💕”

“Thank you do much Melanie! You leot me updater everyday in regards to my sweet Milo and also sent me pictures of him. You took such great care of him and I will definitely be needing you again for December, I hope you’re available for my sweet boy! Thank you again☺️☺️”

“I am one satisfied customer. Ryan took excellent care of my dog for one week. He stayed in contact with me for the duration of the week via text and emails. Amazing dog sitter! She was friendly, flexible, and clearly cared about my dog's comfort the whole time. She sent photo updates throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. My dog loved her instantly and was happy and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommend — will definitely book again!

Moonyoung and Sunhyung are AMAZING. This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone else and also our first time using Rover. They were so amazing with all of the updates and pictures throughout the day. They took our pup to the park and took him out of walks multiple times a day. They are also super responsive in case you have any questions or concerns. We’re so glad we found people who we can trust!

My dog Harry had a great weekend stay with Andrew. Andrew kept Harry active and was very patient with and mindful of his needs in all respects. He is attentive and cautious when allowing the dogs to socialize, which sets everyone up for success. He also kept me updated with photos and detailed messages and was easy to coordinate with on dropoff and pickup logistics. Thank you, Andrew!

I booked with Carol for boarding my dog. She was fantastic! She took very good care of my dog and adhered to feedings, walks, play time, and all the fun things my dog loves to do. She communicated well with me and provided pictures and updates each day. I can tell my dog enjoyed his time with her. If I need to board my dog again, I will definitely be booking with Carol again.

I left Pep with Blythe for a 2-week stay, and everything went smoothly. Communication was great, and she sent me photo and video updates from time to time. Most importantly, I'm just so grateful that Pep had a safe stay and came back home completely healthy. Thank you, Blythe!

There is no one I trust more with my little one. Vinny makes sure that Luna is happy and well-loved. She was treated like family, and you could tell she was so at home when I got the pics of her watching TV and getting nighttime cuddles. Knowing that Luna was in great hands made our holiday that much more enjoyable. We will definitely book again
Camila is an amazing dog sitter. She has a friendly personality and her husband is just as awesome. They cared and took care of my American bully of 5 years which he warmed up to them wonderfully. Camila always sent picture updates of my dog, which was great to have a good price of mind. I would definitely recommend her services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
