About: I grew up with a senior Yorkie and learned to be reliable, patient, and attentive. I provide personalized care for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies and senior pets needing extra support. My time is mostly open but I am available on weekdays during the morning and afternoon. Weekends saturday and Sunday can be free and evening if needed. Our apartment has a private fenced dog park that we are able to enter. I am also able to follow each pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide fresh food and water and regular potty breaks. I can keep owners updated with photos and messages, and make sure both the pet and home are safe, clean, and well cared for.
“Kathryn is all the things you’d want in a dog walker! Clear communication, always on time, and so caring of our dog. We get thorough and funny updates after each walk and super cute pictures of our pup! 😄🐕🐾”

“Jenn is so great. She is very responsive and dependable. She is a dog lover and a very nice person! Penny is always excited to go for a walk with her. Thanks for being there when I need you, Jenn!”

About: I’ve spent years volunteering in different countries socializing, walking, and caring for all different breeds and sizes of dogs. I have genuine love and affection for every dog and their personalities and want them to get plenty of exercise and care to keep them happy and healthy. I”m currently working part time on weekends, so I will have plenty of time most weekdays for regular scheduling. I can commit to a regular routine as needed. I will happily create a positive space and relationship with any dog and make them feel genuine compassion and trust. I have plenty of space in my UV for safe transport if needed.
“Jing was wonderful with Bailey. He was a little nervous today because it’s only a few days in our new apt, so he don’t finish his breakfast. Jing sat with him and hand fed him a couple morsels, helping him to feel comfortable and then he finished the rest on his own. I highly recommend Jing and will definitely use her again!”

About: I have experience dog sitting and walking family and friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. Hi! I’m a dependable pet lover offering drop-in visits and dog walks in the Bergen County area. During visits I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication instructions (if needed), and plenty of attention so your pet stays comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for family and friends’ dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I’ve also raised three cats since they were kittens (my oldest is 7 years old). Living with cats has taught me to pay attention to body language, routines, and the little details that help pets feel safe and relaxed. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with each pet rather than rushing between visits. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I aim to be reliable, communicative, and gentle with every animal I care for, and I’ll treat your pet with the same patience and care I give my own. I provide safe, reliable drop-in visits and dog walks to keep your pets happy and comfortable. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of attention, and make sure every walk is safe and enjoyable
About: I've cared for dogs for 18 years as an owner, so I know the day-to-day realities of feeding schedules, exercise needs, and reading a dog's mood. I also served as a foster caregiver, acting as the transition home between rescue organizations and a dog's new family — which means I'm comfortable with dogs who are anxious, adjusting to a new environment, or still learning house manners. I treat every dog in my care like they're my own, with patience and attention to their individual needs. And I have a sister with over 2 years of consistent, 5-star reviews in South Jersey - we're a dog lover household! Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I'm available weekday evenings and weekends (with occasional flexibility weekday mornings/afternoons too). This means I can offer reliable, consistent walks and visits without rushing, so your pet gets my full attention every time. Since I focus on walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize your home's security every visit — locking doors behind me, following any specific instructions you leave, and sticking closely to your pet's normal routine. I stay alert to their comfort and body language throughout, so they feel safe and at ease with me the whole time.
“Casey was great! She was right on time for the walk with my puppy Brandy, took her around my neighborhood and even played with her a bit inside before putting her back in the crate.”

“It’s my first time using the app, Bryndon was great! My situation is a little unusual but he was so conscientious and paid attention to the details and did such a great job. I would definitely recommend Bryndon and will absolutely reach out for future sitting!”

“I was definitely skeptical and a little nervous about hiring a dog walker to watch my pup when we went on vacation. My guy is a little more high maintenance than other dogs. He’s not the biggest fan of strangers and other dogs so I knew I needed to make sure I hired the right person for the job. Hiring Scarlet turned out to be the absolute BEST decision we could have ever made. Her communication was fantastic, always letting us know how he was and what her timing was going to be. Things went so well I’m going to be scheduling weekly walks just so they can hang out/see each other on a regular basis. 5 STARS!!!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I grew up with a German Shepard, Corgi and Setter. Presently we have a rescue named Layla that we saved and love 💗. She was so fearful and shut down when we adopted her but with patience and love we gave her the confidence and security she needed. She is living her best life. I have taken care of my friends and family’s pets for years; dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs and hamsters. And even an Amazon Parrot. I’m available on the weekends. Can take you fury baby on walks and play dates. Can feed and give medication if needed. Available to spend time with senior dogs if walks aren’t an option. I can walk/play and feed your fury baby. Any specific requests will accommodate. Can set up doggie play dates. I am willing to visit and sit with senior dogs that may have restrictions.

“I needed a dog-sitting service last minute, and Angela came through in a big way! She was super responsive and made sure my dog was well taken care of despite the short notice. I got updates and pictures, which really put my mind at ease. My dog seemed happy and relaxed when I returned. Highly recommend for anyone in a pinch!”

About: I've taken care of pets for a long time, a long 15 years, and I'm dedicated to helping your baby out, because our pets are our families. I work part time, and have a larger apartment with tons of yard and plenty of enrichment time! I will be home majority of the day as well! I have a large fence for my own dogs and have spare bowls and dog/cat food if that is necessary. I also have tools for brushing and cleaning!!
About: I don't believe in one size fits all. Before I start, I'll work with you to create a detailed plan tailored to your pet's specific needs, routines. Beyond feeding and potty breaks, I dedicate time to play. You'll receive regular updates, including photos and videos. I have a proven track record of caring for pets. I understand that leaving your furry loved ones can be stressful, and my goal is to provide you with complete peace of mind, knowing they're in the most loving and capable hands Having a new baby actually creates an ideal scenario for pet sitting. Since I'm already home all day, my schedule is incredibly flexible and allows for consistent, attentive pet care throughout the day. Your pet would have their own designated, safe, and comfortable space within my home, away from any potential stressors. I also have a secure, fenced yard that would be utilized for regular supervised potty breaks and play sessions. I would maintain a consistent routine for feeding, exercise, and rest, minimizing disruption for your pet.
“Matthew really came through. I booked another dog walker at first that ended up canceling on me right before I was due to go on vacation. Matthew made himself available for my puppy, Darla. He is great with her and she loves him. I will be booking him again for sure.”

Amanda was amazing!! My dog is anxious and takes some time to warm up to people. Amanda took her time with him and they became fast friends! She sent lots of pictures, was always providing updates and just did a wonderful job in general! I cannot recommend her more.. very very happy

Sophia was absolutely amazing with Bishop! From the very beginning, she was kind, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bishop was happy, safe, and well cared for. It was obvious he was in great hands and enjoyed his time with her. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sophia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker or pet sitter. Thank you, Sophia, for taking such great care of Bishop!
I can't say enough about Elizabeth! She was wonderful! I was so worried about finding a dog walker, and she eased my fear. She's definitely confident when it comes to larger breed dogs, the size and look of my dog did not faze her! The initial meet and greet went well! And I think it helped with the relationship between her and my dog.. I'm so relieved that we have someone that we can count on! And someone that my dog likes, and it comfortable to go on walks with! Thanks Elizabeth!! See you next time! 😉

Bryndon is great! Our dog usually barks at everyone that comes in the house. She did not bark at all with Bryndon. She met him at the door and after a few sniffs, sat down so he could pet her! Bryndon was very engaged in learning about Miracle's personality and quirks. He was engaged with her and at the same time maintained full control of her (she can pull at times). Bryndon was also very attentive to everything we shared with him about Miracle and we are very confident that Miracle will be in great hands on her walks with Bryndon.

Jing was wonderful with Bailey. He was a little nervous today because it’s only a few days in our new apt, so he don’t finish his breakfast. Jing sat with him and hand fed him a couple morsels, helping him to feel comfortable and then he finished the rest on his own. I highly recommend Jing and will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
