About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10 and currently have five of my own: two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, a Golden Retriever, and two cats. I’m experienced with all sizes, temperaments, and needs—whether it’s giving medications, handling puppies, or caring for senior pets. Friends and neighbors often rely on me to walk, feed, bathe, and snuggle their fur babies when they’re away. I treat every pet like family and go the extra mile to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I’m available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 2pm. I have a fenced yard and three friendly dogs—Archie, Oliver, and Louis—who love meeting new friends! I also have two calm cats, Winston and Sophie, who are great with other pets. I can easily crate my pups if needed, and I always prioritize comfort and safety in my home.
“Xavier was great! He was on time and patient. I have two dogs with special needs and Xavier took care of them with no issue. He sent plenty of pictures and they clearly were very well taken care of. He was communicative and very helpful!”

“Diana and Andrew are great with my puppy. They are reliable and trustworthy. I was very comfortable having them with my puppy who is six months old. They took her for her walk and also gave her play and cuddles which she loves. They also sent me multiple photos. Will definitely be rebooking with them.”

“Jing is fantastic! I contacted her at the last minute looking for a dog walker for my puppy as my current walker is on vacation. Jing responded immediately and scheduled a meet & greet. My puppy absolutely loved her. Jing communicated with me throughout the walk and sent pictures too. She put my mind at ease while I was at work because I knew my puppy was being taken care of and having a great time! I highly recommend Jing. She’s reliable, efficient, and trustworthy. I will continue to work with her in the future!”

“Erica is great with my 5 month puppy Maisie. Every picture Maisie is smiling looking so happy! Erica is responsive and always checks in to make sure she does exactly what Maisie needs. Highly Recommended!”

About: I have two siblings with a rescue dog each and I have been the go-to auntie to dogsit for them for years. Anytime anyone’s need to go on a trip, Auntie’s got them 💪. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I can give them the attention, the cuddles, the walks, and the treats they need to be absolutely cared for. I work a remote job from 9-5. It’s not demanding so I have lots of flexibility. I will do walks in the mornings and evenings and can fit in a fun one in the afternoon for a little nature enrichment. Meal times are how the dog parents want. They can have access to my furniture and bed. I see myself as their auntie and they will be treated with the best love and care. My apartment is right next to a train so there will be loud train noises every few hours. I’m hoping this doesn’t spook the babies but please keep that mind.
About: I've taken care of pets for a long time, a long 15 years, and I'm dedicated to helping your baby out, because our pets are our families. I work part time, and have a larger apartment with tons of yard and plenty of enrichment time! I will be home majority of the day as well! I have a large fence for my own dogs and have spare bowls and dog/cat food if that is necessary. I also have tools for brushing and cleaning!!

About: I’ve spent years volunteering in different countries socializing, walking, and caring for all different breeds and sizes of dogs. I have genuine love and affection for every dog and their personalities and want them to get plenty of exercise and care to keep them happy and healthy. I”m currently working part time on weekends, so I will have plenty of time most weekdays for regular scheduling. I can commit to a regular routine as needed. I will happily create a positive space and relationship with any dog and make them feel genuine compassion and trust. I have plenty of space in my UV for safe transport if needed.
About: I never anticipated become a dog dad. However, when my brother passed away 5 years ago, someone had to step up to take care of Hunter, the 3 year old lab who's life was just destroyed. Together, we have been there for each other through countless highs and lows while I do my best to give him the best life possible! My goal is to provide your pet with the above and beyond care that I would want someone to provide Hunter when I am not there to do so. This Summer, I plan to make myself available after 3pm on the weekdays, as I will be playing piano for some musicals in Westchester. Saturdays and Sundays I will be available all day long! I can't think of a better way to fill my weekend than spending time with your dogs! Pet safety is of the utmost concern, whether I'm caring for my own, or your precious child. When entering and exiting client's and pet's homes, I always exercise an abundance of caution and tranquility to ensure a peaceful visit from start to finish. What you can expect from my walks: lots of love, whatever enrichment they need, and a safe and fulfilling time for them!
About: Open, adaptable daytime schedule that allows for prompt visits without rushing through routine care. Prompt, detailed updates after every walk or drop in, so you know exactly how your pet is doing while you're away. As a student with an extremely flexible and light class schedule, pet care is my primary focus. I’m available throughout most of the day for midday dog walks, routine drop in visits, and last minute requests. Because I am not tied to a traditional 9-to-5 job, I can match your dog or cat’s exact schedule for feeding, exercise, and playtime without rushing I provide attentive, reliable care right in your pet's safe environment. For drop in visits, I handle all feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard cleanup, and plenty of undivided attention. For dog walking, I tailor the pace and route to your dog's energy level, making sure they get safe exercise and mental stimulation. I always double check locked doors, secure leashes, and send detailed photo updates before I leave so you have complete peace of mind.
About: I've had many pets in my life, I've raised 3 dogs and have two cats. I've given basic training to my cats and given senior care to many a dog. I'm in school virtually so I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule and am open to traveling for services. Owning cats also allows me to be free in case of emergencies (they are really understanding). My railroad style apartment was decorated with two frisky kittens in mind so my place is pretty tamper proof. It's easy to isolate them from the rest of the space when (or if) introducing guests and easy to navigate for them with adequate space for play/sleep/snacking or whatever their little hearts desire.
“Karla is great! She is very accommodating towards pets needs. She is very kind to my dog and is very easy to communicate with for whatever you may need. She always sends pics of their walks so I always know how their walk went. I’m currently booked with her for weekly walks, and I couldn’t ask for someone better. I will continue to have her walk my Ruby till as long as she can!”

Amanda was amazing!! My dog is anxious and takes some time to warm up to people. Amanda took her time with him and they became fast friends! She sent lots of pictures, was always providing updates and just did a wonderful job in general! I cannot recommend her more.. very very happy

I went abroad and needed someone to check on my dog and give him some extra love while he stayed with my dad. Erica was amazing and went above and beyond my expectations! She sent several photos of him, which were the highlight of my day while I was missing him so much. I would absolutely recommend her and will use her next time we go away!

I have used Liz multiple times, and she's been wonderful every time! She's so sweet with my dog, takes her time, and genuinely cares. I always appreciate the updates and photos after each walk, and she's consistently punctual and responsive. I will definitely continue booking with her.

Amelia was absolutely wonderful with Bishop! She was available on very short notice, which was such a huge help, and she made the whole experience completely stress-free. She was caring, dependable, and kept us updated, giving us peace of mind knowing Bishop was happy and well looked after. It was clear she treated him like one of her own. We are so thankful for her flexibility, kindness, and excellent care. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Amelia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate dog walker!
Sophia was absolutely amazing with Bishop! From the very beginning, she was kind, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bishop was happy, safe, and well cared for. It was obvious he was in great hands and enjoyed his time with her. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sophia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker or pet sitter. Thank you, Sophia, for taking such great care of Bishop!
I can't say enough about Elizabeth! She was wonderful! I was so worried about finding a dog walker, and she eased my fear. She's definitely confident when it comes to larger breed dogs, the size and look of my dog did not faze her! The initial meet and greet went well! And I think it helped with the relationship between her and my dog.. I'm so relieved that we have someone that we can count on! And someone that my dog likes, and it comfortable to go on walks with! Thanks Elizabeth!! See you next time! 😉

Bryndon is great! Our dog usually barks at everyone that comes in the house. She did not bark at all with Bryndon. She met him at the door and after a few sniffs, sat down so he could pet her! Bryndon was very engaged in learning about Miracle's personality and quirks. He was engaged with her and at the same time maintained full control of her (she can pull at times). Bryndon was also very attentive to everything we shared with him about Miracle and we are very confident that Miracle will be in great hands on her walks with Bryndon.

Daisy trusted Michelle the moment she met her and is so happy when she drops in for her visits. She is very attentive to her needs, responds quickly to my messages and is flexible with me. She has a very calming demeanor to her which is exactly what my anxious Daisy needs. Highly recommend!

We’ve had such a great experience with our dog walker, Xavier! He’s been walking our two dogs, Koda and Miso, and I honestly couldn’t ask for better care. Both dogs have their own personalities, and he handles each of them so well—making sure they get the right amount of exercise, attention, and love. I always feel at ease knowing Koda and Miso are in good hands. Xavier is reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the dogs he works with. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in how happy and relaxed my pups are after every walk. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!

Jing was wonderful with Bailey. He was a little nervous today because it’s only a few days in our new apt, so he don’t finish his breakfast. Jing sat with him and hand fed him a couple morsels, helping him to feel comfortable and then he finished the rest on his own. I highly recommend Jing and will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
