About: As a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom of Ollie, and Nonna to Dunkin. I understand how important it is to find someone reliable you can trust! I provide a safe, loving home with a secure fenced dog run, flexible crate accommodations if preferred. At my home, your fur baby will be treated like family—with plenty of love, belly rubs, supervised playtime, and all the comforts of home. Think of it as them spending the weekend at Nonna's! I work from home full-time, so I'm already in "dog mom mode" all day long! My 12-year-old pup, Ollie, keeps me company, and caring for dogs is simply part of my everyday life. Your fur baby will have plenty of love, attention, supervised playtime in our secure fenced dog run, and lots of cuddles. At my house, it's like spending the weekend at Nonna's— At Nonna's house, every fur baby is treated like family. I work from home full-time, so your dog will enjoy plenty of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day. My secure fenced dog run provides a safe place for supervised play, while the indoors offers a calm, cozy environment for naps and cuddles. I can accommodate crate-trained dogs if preferred and always follow your pet's feeding, medication, and daily routine to help them feel comfortable and at home!
“Viktoria was great, she was prompt with communication, sent us picture updates, and took great care of my dog! Annie had a great time and we would definitely board with Viktoria again in the future.”

“We were very happy with Amy. She sent notes and lovely pics of Reese. He seemed to enjoy his stay as well. It was our first time leaving him with anyone and we feel very comfortable leaving him with Amy again. Thanks for taking such good care of our fur baby.”

“Kendra was very warm and made me feel very comfortable. She constantly sent pictures and communicated with me throughout the entire time. She assured me that the dogs were doing fine.”

“Megan was amazing! Our dog can be high energy and has separation anxiety but she accepted him like her own. Megan gave our dog Miller a lovely vacation filled with lots of fun with his new pal Nala. Highly recommend :).”

“Daisy loved staying with Donelle. Donelle sent pictures practically everyday. I would highly recommend Donelle to watch your dog while you are on vacation. We have already re-booked for our next vacation.”

“Rolanda was amazing! She kept me updated and sent pictures of Chloe throughout her stay! I can tell that Chloe was comfortable with her and she came back just as happy as she was before i dropped her off! I would definitely book with Rolanda again!”

“Stephanie was an absolute blessing! I needed to board my cats for a couple days and she really came through! My cats were safe, comfortable and happy! She went above and beyond!”
“I’ve never left Truffle with anyone but family members. She and I have been inseparable since her original pet mommy (my mother) passed. Needless to say she is extremely spoiled and I was very apprehensive about leaving her with anyone!! But from the first initial meeting with Jenni and her son that doubt started to melt away. And by the second day into my weekend getaway I was totally comfortable with Truffle being in Jenni and her little assistants care. After I shared the many adorable photos, My family members teased that Truffle was enjoying her vacation just as much or more. And my grandchildren were jealous that Truffle had a new found little friend🤣”

“Sarai took care of our 2 boys for a whole week. We were really glad we chose her to dog sit our babies. All week we received updates and pictures of our boys having a blast. They looked so happy and well taken care of. They enjoyed the huge backyard to run and play around. Her family is so welcoming and loving. There was always great communication and will definitely take my pups back to her to dog sit in the future. Overall a great experience !”

“Amber did such a wonderful job caring for my senior dog! She was incredibly attentive to all of the instructions I provided, including her medication schedule, feeding routine, and outdoor needs. She also sent thoughtful daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my pup was in great hands, and I’m so grateful for the care and attention she provided. I would happily book with her again in the future!”

“Susseth was the best! She took such good care of our dog during the winter break and even got him a wonderful birthday treat! Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a caring home.”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 5 years old. I took care of dogs, cats, and birds. Pets like to be around me and feel safe. I’m currently unemployed so I have plenty of time and energy to take care of your dog anytime starting 11am all week days as you need. I have a big yard that makes your dog feel free in plenty of space to play and walk. I don’t have any dogs at home, so your dog will feel safe and enjoy peace.
“Ellie did a wonderful job with Bella. She updated us daily and included many photos. Her house is set up well to ensure safety for the dogs/owners. The backyard is double fenced allowing plenty of room to roam and play. She treats each dog as if they were her own. Ellie’s warm personality and beautiful smile made it easy for us to highly recommend her.”

“Could not recommend Jo’Ell more. She was extremely accommodating. Gave frequent updates. Most of all made our dog more comfortable during his stay. Will 100% be coming back to Jo’Ell as my go to Rover!”

Patricia is a wonderful & caring person who treats your dog like family. Not knowing what we would expect in her care for our dog Stella due to her medical issues , Patricia went above & beyond what we ever imagined. She allowed us to enjoy our vacation & not worry about our Stella while we were thousands of miles away. She is a gem!!

Michelle and her family are incredible. We are so thankful we found them. They have watched our dog Chip a few times and he is legit excited to go back everytime. We were nervous about who was going to watch chip for our wedding weekend but after the few times he stayed with Michelle and fam we did not have to worry at all. We could enjoy our day knowing he was in the best hands! 1000% reccomend

Kimberly and Matthew were amazing care givers this past weekend. Kimberly kept in constant contact with me sending a ton of pics and made me feel at ease leaving my baby with them! This was his first time being away from home as I had to deal with a family situation in Michigan. I couldn’t have picked better humans to care for our Echo other than myself, naturally. Thank you for being amazing!!! I know he enjoyed the time he spent with you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
