“People in the Lincolnway/Tinley Park area, these are a great couple who love dogs. Big yard, friendly dogs to pal around with your dog, assurance by video. Will use again. Lucy gives five tail wags”

“Janet is phenomenal! The MOST caring and kind dog mom and sitter! She is very patient with my 7 month puppy while he is developing his manners. She provides a lovely home and environment for my pup, who runs to the door whenever he is going to stay with Janet. She is simply the best!”

“Great relief, knowing my dog Barbie was in great hands for two weeks. Latasha would also send updates and pictures which really was really comforting to know Barbie was being well took care of. Would highly recommend Latasha to family and friends.”

“My husband and I were a little worried to leave Bailey behind since she is very attached to us; but, after the meet and greet we knew everything was going to be ok. Candace did an amazing job with her and treated her like one of her own. We got daily pictures/videos of Bailey and little updates on how she was doing. I will definitely be using her again and we highly recommend her!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience with Kim. She was attentive to our dog’s needs and kept us updated daily with photos and how our dog was doing. We definitely recommend her services and would use her again! Thank you Kim!”

“This was our first time working with Christie and it was great. She watched our 11 year old dachshund Frank. We were updated every day and it was obvious Frank was happy. We're looking forward to having Frank stay again sometime when we travel in the future.”

“I am so grateful for Danielle. My senior/disabled dog has some additional needs outside of the usual pet, and Danielle far exceeded my expectations with the level of care she provided. I was confident my dog was comfortable and happy for the duration of my trip - it felt like leaving my pet in the care of a family member. Thank you Danielle!”

“Shani was so great! This was our first time leaving our dog Lucy and Shani made us feel comfortable providing daily updates with photos and videos. Lucy loved being at her home and we will definitely return!”

About: I was the neighborhood baby/dog sitter for most of my teens and even now I do the occasional dog sitting for a week or so for family friends. I have taken care of dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I recently started fostering kittens and have a newfound love for those little guys too! I’ve owned bunnies and hamsters, watched a snake, taken care of a bird. You name it I’m sure I’ve had some sort of experience with it! I’d be so happy to take care of your critter too <3 I work from home! Rest assured your little buddy will get lots of attention in my care. If they have a more strict letting out schedule that’s absolutely no problem! I have a small mix dog, with two friendly cats. I work from home and can spend more time than the average person with your pet. I have a non fenced in yard, but am happy to take out on walks or on their leash in my yard.
About: I’m fortunate to have experience with a wide variety of animals thanks to my cousins, who have two cats, three dogs, a turtle, and a horse. I help care for their pets regularly, so I’m comfortable meeting the unique needs of animals of all kinds and treating each one like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m currently finishing up breast cancer treatment and have intentionally chosen pet sitting as my primary work. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and being able to provide reliable, loving care while I’m in this season of life has been incredibly rewarding. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. At my home, pets have access to a securely fenced backyard for supervised play, exercise, and potty breaks, along with plenty of attention, affection, and a comfortable place to relax. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s established schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any other care instructions. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.
“Beth was excellent! This was a great experience, I would definitely recommend Beth (and her sweet little dog Gracie!) and will be sure to reach out to her again when needed. Thank you so much, Beth!”

“HANDS DOWN THE BEST PET SITTER!!!!!! Meghan took great care of my pup Snoop. She makes you feel very comfortable and at ease leaving your Pet. The communication and updates were spot on. I will DEFINITELY recommend Megan, and will request her in the future.”

“After rescuing our pup not more than 7 months ago, we didn't know what to expect when going out of town. Kate was nothing short of a blessing. With her profound knowledge of animal care, and large area for numerous animals to play and explore, we knew she was the one for our Moose. It was only a short two day trip, but every step of the way, she was eager to let us know how moose was while we were away. We cannot recommend Kate more! Thank you Kate!”

“This was our first time using Rover and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience for our fur babies! Michelle was AWESOME! She sent us photo updates and kept things easy for us! If someone is out there hesitant about using the app, don’t! It’s amazing! I’m glad we found rover and even more glad to have found Michelle! She even gave us a doggie bag for the holidays for our pups! Best experience ever. We will definitely use her again!”

“Danny was great with Maui and received updates during his stay. He made sure Maui took his allergy medication and provided all the attention and affection any dog could ask!!! Will definitely contact Danny to watch Maui in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Country Club Hills
Jennifer and her family make us very comfortable in leaving our leo with them. I love the way her children love on him. I have no worries when we are out of town. It feels as if I left him with a family member. Also she sends us several daily updates. Grateful we found her.

We're so glad we got Rachel to keep Winston. we've tried contacting her last summer but the timing wasn't right. When we finally did, we knew she was good. Winston really enjoyed himself and he looked like he was at home from the photos. We've felt so comfortable and happy from the contacts we've received from Rachel. Thanks again Rachel, you're a superstar.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
