About: I’m a travel nurse without any animals who wants to love on yours! I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 3 years old, up to 3 dogs at a time. I trained my puppy while I was in high school and have loved on dogs through their old age as well. I worked at a doggy daycare for a few summers while I was in college. I work 10 hours shift during the week, however I am free in the evenings after 6pm and have one free day during the week. I am always available on the weekends. I understand that all dogs have their own routine, needs & quirks! I am very thorough with the care I provide and will love them like my own! I have experience in dogs with medical needs such as giving them oral meds & injections as well as post-op recovery care.

About: I have fostered animals (mostly cats) for two years and have cats of my own. I have experience caring for cats and dogs from 10 weeks to seniors. I’m comfortable caring for multiple animals at a time. I have experience in giving dogs and cats medication. I’m familiar with feeding schedules, coordination of care, waste management, and pet enrichment. I grew up with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 hermit crabs, 3 fish, and 1 guinea pig (thankfully not all at the same time!). I also have experience in working with farm animals (horses, chickens, ducks) and rode horses for a few years. After June, my schedule will be more flexible and I will have additional availability during the summer months. I currently work full-time as a teacher and will be more available during the summer starting late June to late August. However, I will be available afternoons and on weekends. Pet safety is extremely important to me. Since I’ll be caring for animals in your home, I’ll collaborate on any safety concerns on the property or in general. I’m able to easily crate dogs and I always walk dogs on leash. I ensure that all exits and entrances are properly closed so that pets don’t get out. I also don’t allow cats outside. I will also coordinate with you on if there are any local environmental concerns (nearby construction, a door in you home that sticks,

“I can’t say enough good stuff about Sophie! She took care of our two cats while we were out of town for our wedding. It was our first time leaving one of the cats home alone, so we were a little nervous. Sophie kept us updated and gave us much needed peace of mind. Our two cats are still getting to know each other so have to be kept separate, and one of them has a minor health condition that we needed to keep an eye on. Despite these challenging circumstances (and an unexpected power outage), Sophie took incredible care of our girls. She was patient, thoughtful and communicative, which we so appreciated during our busy wedding weekend. We came home to a clean home and happy cats. I work freelance, so my schedule tends to be flexible. I imagine doing morning, mid-day walks, or evening dog walks for clients in the neighborhood. I will not be using my own apartment as a dog sitting venue. Instead, I can take your pets out or visit/stay in their usual homes to make sure they are taken well-cared of on a case-by-case basis.
