About: I’ve trained three very skittish rescue doggies and purebred pups. I dog sit for friends and family often. I am extremely energetic/Athletic and if your doggie wants to go for a run, I am up for that for sure! Or if they just need some calming snuggle time, I’m your girl! I enjoy getting to know pet’s unique personalities and needs. I grew up around animals my whole life — dogs, house cats, barn cats, and even neighboring farm animals and wildlife. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Recently losing my longtime companions, Niko, a tiny chihuahua/corgie mix & rescue with a huge personality, and Copper, a golden with a goofball heart of gold, reminded me how deeply our pets become family. “tl;dr: Julia is the GREATEST. She was super communicative and my cat loved her + very much appreciated the care he needed post-dental procedure! Our sweet kitty, Leo, had a dental issue that meant that he had to get some teeth extracted and I got pulled on a work trip the day of the procedure so we needed someone to hang out with our little guy for a couple days. Julia swooped in and hung out with Leo while he was recovering. She clearly is experienced with giving meds to cats and reading kitty behavior. Would 100000% work with Julia again.”

About: I have had a dog in the house since I was young. Most recently helped train my family German Shepherd puppy from 10 weeks! I also have experience caring for my dog when she went through a major hip replacement surgery, which required much more intensive care over the course of a few months. Do not currently have any pets (my pup is back home), but have helped take care of both dogs and cats. I am staying in the Brown University area over the summer and will be conducting research as a Master's student. My schedule is very flexible as I mostly work on a laptop. However, there will be days I have to work around experiments, so feel free to inquire! I won't be able to host your pet (sadly), but I am more than willing to visit or walk as needed! I always starts with asking: 1. Any essential things about the pet I need to know (medication, allergies, etc.) 2. Any essential things about the house? (places to keep them out of, toys, beds, where they like to hang out) 3. Food, drink, and potty schedule + locations for each. 4. Anything else you want me to be aware of? (No shoes in the house, stay out of certain rooms, don't let mud get tracked around, etc.) 5. In case there's a mess, how should I clean up? (paper towels, pads, trash bags, etc.) I always want to respect both your house and your little friend so please give me as much detail as possible!

Our dog can be challenging, especially due to his anxiety around paw cleaning and eye care, but Hannah handled all of his needs with patience and skill and treated him as if he were her own. She sent daily updates without fail, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. On top of that, she took excellent care of our home and we came back to a house that was even better than we left it. Hannah is exceptional and we would absolutely trust her again.
