About: I’ve cared for low, medium, and high energy dogs, small, medium, and large breeds, friendly and reactive. I’ve dealt with food allergies, leash-pulling, SQUIRRELS! and anxious dogs. My 4.5 year old just passed in July 2025 due to cancer. He had food allergies, was reactive to other dogs, and was extremely smart and athletic. He was also very vocal and obsessed with toys. He was trained in the basics, running with me, basic scent work, counter conditioning for his emotional outbursts, and random tricks. He was very selective about who he liked and suspicious of strangers. I had a lab as a kid who loved absolutely everyone but would steal your food if you weren’t paying attention. I’ve had experience with dogs of many personalities and needs. I will treat your baby like my own. I can work with dogs of any age. I am available on most weekends during the school year, and any time during winter, spring, and summer breaks. Weekend walks, drip-ins, house-sitting, and boarding are all easiest for me. Weekdays are tough because my regular job is a teacher. Walks: properly fitting harness and leash, treats, following the rules of the road/crosswalks/etc. Client’s home: follow your instructions for dog care; always make sure dog is happy, fed, watered, crated or otherwise secure in the home etc. as asked. Doors will be locked when I leave and your home will look as clean as it was when I arrived when I leave.

About: I am new to rover but I have loved dogs my entire life! I was raised with small dogs but every dog size has my heart! I’ve been helping family/friends walk or take care of their own Cats and Dogs if needed for 5 years now! During the school year I am a full time Special Education preschool Substitute teacher, however in the summer, weekends, or after school hours you will find me playing tug of war with my dog, misting my Crested gecko’s tank, feeding my 4 goldfish and aquatic frog, or cuddling my cat! Growing up I would help walk family member's dogs around the neighborhood, and continue to do that with my own dog. I will occasionally help out my aunt with her dogs when she is on a vacation and she needs them to be let out and be fed! I have also helped a friend out who needed someone to look after their cat for a few days, who had to take medication! My cat is more on the shy side so when I do get those moments with him I make sure to play, and cuddle as much as I can sneak in!

She has trained him exceptionally well and has kept him in excellent health. He is a big dog around 60-70 pounds. She has also cared for numerous other dogs, including my dog Hazel, who is about 45-50 pounds. Elana is very knowledgeable about dogs, dog training (positive reinforcement methods), and keeping dogs healthy and happy. She is very capable of dog sitting and walking almost any dog even if the dog requires special care, a special diet, or some extra patience due to anxiety or other issues. I have ask her for advice about dog training myself. She has more experience with medium and large dogs but can handle any size dog. Elana would be a great choice for a dog walker or dog sitter.”
