“Jennifer was so amazing! Her communication was great and gave us small updates everyday on how our kitties were doing. I know she did an amazing job because when we got home from our trip our cats did not immediately need attention. So she definitely made them feel safe and loved. I would 100% book again.”

“Maria was a life saver and was available to watch our dog on short notice. She asked thoughtful questions during our meet and greet to make sure Clarence, our pup, was well understood. Maria left thoughtful comments and communicated consistently throughout her time with Clarence. Her communication and care for our pup put our minds at ease. Clarence was well cared for! We would book Maria again in the future.”

“I appreciate Jason’s great communication and dependability. Highly recommend using Jason for your pets. He will take good care of them and keep you updated. Never misses a scheduled visit and very reliable.”

“We felt so at ease having Marion take care of our cat, Norman, when we were out of town! She is an animal lover and took great care of Norman while we were gone. We 100% recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter!”

“Stephanie was great. She made sure to give us an update on our very shy cat each day that we were gone. She even got a picture of him hiding under our bed which we appreciated very much! Definitely a 5 star sitter! Thank you Stephanie! :)”

“Yujie was amazing with my two dogs. He was incredibly helpful and always responded very quickly, even last minute. His communication was excellent, which gave me complete peace of mind. About: Hi! My name is Angie, and caring for animals has always been a lifelong passion. I previously worked as a Manager at Paw Tuckaway Pet in Raymond, NH. Currently, I am pursuing my Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology while working locally as a Veterinary Assistant, allowing me to expand my knowledge and provide exceptional care to every pet I meet! With over 10 years of pet sitting experience, I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, and I'm comfortable handling pets of all kinds. I have a special interest in exotic pets and since 2020, I've specialized in nail trims for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. When I'm not caring for pets, you'll usually find me curled up in a book. In my spare time I also enjoy exploring the outdoors, capturing nature through photography, and spending time with my sun conure, Maui. If you are looking for someone who treats every pet like family, I may be the right pet sitter for you! I am available before and after work as well as midday on days off. A typical drop-in visit is around 30 minutes and includes feeding, walking, potty, and anything else your pet may need. Every pet and their family is different, which is why no visit looks the same. I am flexible and willing to provide whatever you and your family may need while you are away, including getting mail, putting trash out, opening/closing blinds, switching lights, etc. I am also a huge fan of sending updates after each visit along with photos of your pet!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have years of experience caring for pets, including walking, feeding, playing, giving lots of attention, and staying with them while their owners are away. I have two dogs of my own and have also cared for pets for family, friends, and others over the years, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. I’m patient, dependable, and understand that every pet has their own routine and needs. I’m also comfortable following specific feeding, walking, and care instructions to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away! As a senior at UNH, I have a flexible class schedule with plenty of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. I live right in downtown Durham, so I’m within walking distance of many nearby neighborhoods, and I also have my own car for clients a little farther away. I’m able to work around my classes and can be available during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends depending on your pet’s needs! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always make sure to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I pay close attention to any instructions about feeding, walks, medications, playtime, or specific behaviors to look out for. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety measures are always secure. I also know how reassuring it is to hear how your pet is doing while you’re away, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Madbury
Sofia was amazing! My kitties were obviously happy when we came home but they didn’t seem like they had anxiety like they usually do. She was so communicative and sent loads of pictures everyday and it made me feel so calm and comfortable while we were gone. I would definitely rebook her and recommend her to anyone!

After meeting with Gwen we felt they were a good fit, and we scheduled nightly check ins/ feedings for our cats for the 10 days we would be visiting family. Gwen has such a pleasant demeanor and always talks to our cats just like we would! We made it clear that our priority is the cats getting love and attention and they consistently played with and loved on our cats. They are great at following instructions and not only made sure our cats were loved and fed but also took care of our many plants, and even tackled the weekly deep clean of our giant litter box! Our cats always seem happy to see Gwen and we got detailed updates and excellent communication throughout our trip. When we had to extend our trip for a couple days, they went above and beyond and accommodated to be able to continue the check-ins for those days. Gwen is a friendly, responsible, attentive person and is a fabulous sitter! We highly recommend their services!

Just finished my first booking through Rover & Tricia was my chosen provider. While my 2 cats do not require medication or any complicated feeding regimens, one of them is quite sensitive and changes to her routine can engender defensiveness. At our meet-n-greet, I was very surprised & pleased when both cats strode up to Tricia to greet her & get pets. She took notes on my furry babies' personalities, preferences and usual routines. Throughout the 11 days of the care agreement, Tricia was prompt, communicative, gracious and accommodating. SO much so that, in making future plans to be away, I expect to consult her schedule before finalizing travel!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Madbury. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
