“Fabulous!!!! Kate has been awesome these past few days with our sweet little guy Otto! She was very attentive to him since he is going blind due to a tumor. She gave him many snuggles, walks, and kept us up to date on what he was doing each day, many times! Really appreciated Kate and highly recommend her!!!!”
“We had a wonderful experience boarding our 6 month old puppy with Nicholas! He was responsive to all my questions and sent pictures every day! He took great care of our bulldog’s special skin care needs. Our puppy had so much fun and was well taken care of! She was truly treated as part of their family for the week! I feel relieved to have found such a great pet sitter and will certainly book with Nicholas again!”

“Picturesque Maine farm for a dog to be boarded. Jeanne knows hers dogs and was a great host for my furry friend Diamond. I would definitely try to use Jeanne’s farm first if Diamond needed to be boarded again.”

“Cali had a great time at Katelyn’s and was nice and worn out when we picked her up. Katelyn has great communication and was willing to accommodate our last minute booking request, which we really appreciated!”

“Lorenzo was great! Excellent communication. He sent pictures or videos every day that our pup stayed with him. He has great outdoor space and two dogs of his own for built in playmates.”

About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!
About: I love and care for my own dog Finnley—my life is truly built around him. I’ll be offering that same level of love and attention to any dog in my care. If you or anyone you know ever needs help, I’d love to be considered. Please feel free to share my name with any family or friends who might be looking! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home by 2:45 each day, which allows me to be present and attentive in the afternoons and evenings. I take the dogs out for a walk and make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and care as part of my normal day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, secure environment where they’ll be well cared for at all times. My dog Finnley is very friendly and loves the company of other dogs, so your pup will have a built-in buddy to keep them happy and comfortable.
“Diamond took such great care of our dog Maple! He's sometimes a little anxious but he was completely at home there. Diamond sent frequent photo updates and even took him to work with her. We'll definitely be dropping him off here again the next time we go away.”

About: I'm an animal lover and have grown up with all types of animals. I have been trusted taking care of neighbors, friends, and families pets for many years. My sister is a veterinarian so I often get the pet questions. I will go above and beyond for your pet. I work from home Monday and Tuesday so I am free to go for walks and drop by your house most of the time these days. I am in the office Wednesday through Friday and will have less time but still available. Weekends are free unless I'm away. I live on an acre of land. It is not a fully fenced yard but it is set back in a small, quiet neighborhood on a dead end road. I have an indoor cat.
“Taylor was great with my dogs. I got pictures and updates every day, and she gave them plenty of outside time, and even did their hair haha. My pups didn’t want to leave! Thank you Taylor for taking such good care of my babies. I will definitely be back if I ever need a dog sitter again.”

“My dog always has a great time with Nicole. She is great with communication and sends plenty of pictures and videos. I know he is always well taken care of when he’s there!”

About: I bring advanced handling experience rooted in a family history of breeding and training German Shepherds. My co-host is my 9.5-year-old female GSD; she is exceptionally well-trained, gentle, and fantastic with friendly dogs of all sizes. Your dog will get premier care, plenty of exercise, and a stable, balanced environment. I own my own company and work from home. Pet care is something that happens between clients and as the dogs need. Since getting Sia, working from home was a critical requirement to give her the attention she needed to succeed. That has blossomed into a fantastic environment where you can be sure that your dog will receive supervised playtime, time in a yard, and a swift response to any potential issues. I have a back yard where the dogs are allowed to run free, if your furry friend is comfortable and responsible off leash. Sia, my 9.5 year old GSD, helps to keep friends close. I also routinely walk at Gleason Pond and bring the dogs there daily. I am comfortable with medical protocols and am practiced at giving advanced care as needed. I always approach care and supervision from the perspective of “setting the dog up for success” and do my best to make sure they’re happy, well fed, and comfortable.
“Sheila was wonderful … took lots of pics and videos and let me know how she was doing. Bessa loved it there and loved her dog Dakota who’s a sweetheart. Can’t say enough good things about Sheila .. will def have Bessa stay again.”

“Josh and Nicole took excellent care of our middle aged dog! She recently had a ruptured cyst and needed some extra care and love. Josh and Nicole did exactly that, and I really appreciate all the love they gave her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Madbury
We recently worked with Kassia to dog-sit our 4-year old dog, and it was a great experience! We set up a meet and greet so we could make sure that our generally fearful dog felt comfortable with Kassia. Kassia clearly has a lot of experience working with animals, and was so kind to our dog, who quickly became excited to be around Kassia. Our dog also had an injury, which Kassia worked with us to make sure all meds and instructions were followed while we were gone. We were so happy with how Kassia communicated in the lead up to, and during her weekend dog-sitting for us. We would love to work with Kassia again in the future, and are very grateful that she took such amazing care of our pup!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
