About: I'm an animal lover and have grown up with all types of animals. I have been trusted taking care of neighbors, friends, and families pets for many years. My sister is a veterinarian so I often get the pet questions. I will go above and beyond for your pet. I work from home Monday and Tuesday so I am free to go for walks and drop by your house most of the time these days. I am in the office Wednesday through Friday and will have less time but still available. Weekends are free unless I'm away. I live on an acre of land. It is not a fully fenced yard but it is set back in a small, quiet neighborhood on a dead end road. I have an indoor cat.
“Kelsey took care of our boy this weekend and she was absolutely amazing. She kept in touch with us, sent pictures and took great care of him. He even made a new friend! I highly recommend Kelsey and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Karen was great with my 6 1/2 month old puppy that is a big boy and a lot to handle! He was happy when I picked him up and clearly well cared for. Will definitely use Karen going forward!”

“Andrea was very friendly and professional. She took care of Bailey like he was her own. She sent me updates of his stay frequently. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for puppy or doggy care. She was amazing!”

“This is the second Noreen has watched our 3 year old pup, Faye, and we cannot speak high enough about her. She's very responsive, gives great updates, and sends plenty of pictures. Noreen always takes care of Faye exactly as we asked her too and asks questions when she has them. Noreen is a fantastic dog sitter and we would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I love to make sure your babies are happy, safe and comfortable so that you can enjoy your time away without worry! FaceTime, texts and consistent communication is what makes me your best choice! Former special educator, patience is my virtue! Weekday social worker, so I’m off on weekends routinely, which coincides with families wanting some getaway time. Occasionally available weeknights for walks and drop ins. Weekends are more flexible, and I’m usually available AM/PM or both. Looking to begin boarding in the Fall 2025 Primarily, I can come to your house for care. Occasionally, happily ready to provide care in my home for dogs on weekends. Walking trails and small yard. Other dogs are plentiful here, I will always keep your dog leashed at all times. I’m not against an occasional pup cup trip but have also respected gluten free diets as well.

About: After saying goodbye last year to my sweet 16-year-old pit terrier and 14-year-old lab mix, my home has been empty. While I have no plans for another long-term compaion, I'm looking to provide my love and attention to your baby instead! I provide care in my own - I provide a safe, loving, pet-free home for a day visit, overnight stays, or up to 2 weeks. 🏡 Calm, pet-free environment 🌳 2-acre yard for lots of running and play 👨👩👧 Kid-friendly home 🐶 Tons of attention, playtime, and snuggles 💊 Comfortable giving medications & following special feeding routines 💛 Experienced, attentive care For safety, dogs must be well-mannered, kid-friendly, and up to date on vaccinations. If your pup needs a loving place to stay, send me a message for more details — we’d be happy to help! I provide care 24/7 and keep the same routine as your home schedule. I allow full roam of my home and allow to be on furniture as long it follows normal home rules. I want your baby to become part of my family. I have 2 acres for lots of fun. I live in a country type setting providing extra caution and following all existing leash rules. I don't crate unless you already do that at home. I ask you to bring food, bed and anything that helps comfort your baby.
“Chelsea was fantastic! She was very responsive and I felt so comfortable sending our pup to Chelsea for 3 nights. She sent updates and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We will be back soon!”

“Mack and Dennis had their very first Rover sleep-away with James, and they were welcomed with open arms by his whole family. Everyone was so sweet and hospitable, and his little girl gave them plenty of cuddles, which they absolutely loved. James was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, flexible, and genuinely accommodating. I felt completely at ease knowing my boys were in such a warm, caring home. I would absolutely recommend James to anyone looking for a trustworthy, family-oriented sitter. We will happily book with him again.”

About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoid the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.
“Thanks for taking great care of Annie and Gracie and the photos of them. It made our attending the family wedding even more enjoyable as we knew they were safe and happy. Thanks very much.”

“Excellent and reliable. I got stuck in another state for an extra day due to a flight cancellation, and she was so helpful with watching my dog extra and flexible with a last minute change in plans. Used her services multiple times and always satisfied!”

“Highly recommend Janelle and her husband. They took very good care of cinnaman! He was very calm and comfortable when we picked him up. They have a nice fenced in backyard and a nice neighborhood for walks.”

“We had a last-minute out-of-town trip come together, and Khaila jumped in to help — she and her son were just lovely. Our pup, Rosie, is only 4 months old, and Khaila was gracious and patient with all of her puppy behavior. She sent photos of Rosie’s slumber party antics and was accommodating when we were running late for pickup.”

“Caroline did a wonderful job caring for our Boone! She sent pictures and kept us up to date with activities they were doing. Would absolutely recommend and use her again to watch Boone.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
