“Picturesque Maine farm for a dog to be boarded. Jeanne knows hers dogs and was a great host for my furry friend Diamond. I would definitely try to use Jeanne’s farm first if Diamond needed to be boarded again.”

“Nicole made sure to accommodate Bryn’s dietary issues. I received pictures and videos daily during the visit. She was friendly and has a great fenced in backyard for play. Her home is a great setting for dogs. We will definitely be booking her again.”

About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!
“They were AMAZING. Sent us cute photos and videos throughout. I can tell our dog Lucy had a great time. They were also very polite and kind the entire time. We've booked with them prior as well with the same experience.”

“I cannot speak more highly of Eric and his sweet family! They kept my dog while I had a week long work event in Boston, and they took fantastic care of her. They sent me regular photos and they promptly answered any nervous mama questions I sent their way. We were worried about her getting spooked by the fireworks over the holiday weekend, and Eric and his fam took lots of precaution to make sure she was safe and happy. The pups that live with them are sweet and they got along great with my dog. I will be booking with them again if we're ever in the area!”

“Felicia provided great care for Charlie. He stayed with her family for almost a week. I was updated with photos and texts on how he was doing. I would highly recommend Felicia.”

About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was little. I had cats at home and started horseback riding when I was six. Now, I am living in New Hampshire for 3 years, with my husband, our two dogs, our cat... only our mare stayed in France. I do not work, so I am available to take care of your pets. I can groom them, administer medicine (with clear instructions), walk them or just cuddle them. I may be out 4 hours max for my english lessons. We moved to the United States for my husband's job; I don't work, so I would be delighted to look after your babies as if they were my own. I take English classes twice a week in the morning, but I am completely free the rest of the time. At my home, your dogs will be treated just like mine, with access to the garden and unlimited playtime and naps. Introductions to my own dogs will be handled gently—especially with Flack, who can take a little time to warm up but is used to meeting plenty of doggy friends back in France. At your home, I will follow your instructions; since my English isn't perfect yet, please feel free to leave written notes.

“Kristin saved us with a last minute booking! She and her family are so sweet. They sent us updates and pictures while we were away and even let us extend Tater’s stay by several days. We highly recommend Kristin and James!”

“Cecelia is the best of the best! We truly have never had such exceptional care, service, flexibility, and attention for Clover before. She truly is the best sitter we’ve ever had. Clover was staying the week while we were away for our wedding. She was so accommodating asking about her routine, if clover would like special treats, and so much more that went above and beyond. We were a little hard to reach during our wedding weekend but she kept up with the greatest updates so we knew clover was in good hands. I can’t stress how much clover loved Cecelia and we did too! We hope Clover gets to stay with her multiple times in the future. Thank you so much!”

About: I love to make sure your babies are happy, safe and comfortable so that you can enjoy your time away without worry. I’m a teacher/social worker by trade, so I’m patient, kind and caring. Special needs or requests are not an issue. My consistent communication and caring for your pets as my own is what makes me your best choice! I’m a social worker, so I’m off on weekends routinely, which coincides with families wanting time away. Occasionally available weeknights for walks or drop ins. Weekends are more flexible, and I’m usually more available. I generally prefer boarding in my home and my routine is planned around your babies. Their needs are my priority! Happy to provide care in my home for dogs on weekends. Walking trails and small yard. Other dogs are plentiful here, but-I will always keep your dog leashed at all times. I’m not against an occasional pup cup trip but have also respected meat-based, gluten free and hypoallergenic diets as well. Only one dog (family) at a time.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for several years, including my own dog, Million. I’m patient, responsible, and very attentive to each dog’s needs. I live in a quiet home with no children, no smoking, and a calm environment that helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. I follow feeding routines closely, enjoy walking and playing with dogs, and can provide frequent updates, photos, and videos. Your dog will be treated like family while staying with me. I work from home, so I am at home most of the day and able to give dogs plenty of attention. Because my schedule is flexible, I can take them out for walks, outdoor breaks, and playtime whenever they need. I’m available on weekdays and weekends, and your dog will never be left alone for long periods. I live in a clean and quiet house with no children, no smoking, and multiple extra rooms where visiting dogs can rest comfortably. We also have an open yard where dogs can safely explore under supervision. My dog Million is friendly and fully trained, and I introduce dogs slowly to ensure everyone feels safe. I provide free toys and treats, follow your dog’s routine closely, and send frequent photo and video updates so you always know how your pup is doing.
“Sammi was the best! She took great care of our dog Nova! She was always on time for his walks and took time to get in a little playtime. She was always on time and sent great pictures! I wish she wasn’t moving!”

“Absolutely amazing! She took care of both of my dogs. One has special needs (deaf and blind) and she was incredibly understanding by and accommodating to his every need. Even while taking care of my high maintenance boy she also made sure my other dog (lab mix) got plenty of attention and exercise! She has a great yard for the pups and even set up a gated area in her home for my little blind guy to keep him safe from running into things or getting lost. Her whole family helped to make sure both my pups received plenty of attention and care! If you have any concerns about having some one sit your pup she is the person to go to!”

“This was the first time I've had to use a dog sitter outside of my family/friend group, and I felt super comfortable leaving my small dog with Denise. She provided updates and took very good care of my baby. Would totally go with her again.”

“Heather is amazing and truly cares for the fur babies with her whole heart. Jetty is such a cute gal and a good friend to the other pups. Very happy with her care. Very responsive with communication. Would definitely use her again.”

“Karen was able to take us on short notice for 1 night. We were able to go on our trip with no worries. Aspen had a nice time socializing with other pups. We will definitely keep Karen in mind for any future trips.”

“This is the second Noreen has watched our 3 year old pup, Faye, and we cannot speak high enough about her. She's very responsive, gives great updates, and sends plenty of pictures. Noreen always takes care of Faye exactly as we asked her too and asks questions when she has them. Noreen is a fantastic dog sitter and we would recommend her to anyone!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Newington
Our dog stayed with Colleen for a week while we were on vacation. This was our first time leaving him for that long, and Colleen made us feel comfortable each day, with detailed updates and photos. Colleen went above and beyond to make adjustments specific to Cooper’s need for recharge time. Cooper loves it at Colleen’s house and was happy and calm when we picked him up. Thank you Colleen!❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
