About: I am a kind and caring person to all animals. I’ve housesat and taken care of neighbors dogs and cats when they were away. I have experience with heat-sensitive pets so I have experience gauging pets’ comfort level in relation to outside weather. I'm free mostly anytime, I’m extremely responsible and will take careful and loving care of all animals that I take care of through rover. I’ve always loved animals and rover is a great opportunity to earn money while having fun. Dogs would get my undivided attention during walks and other services. What sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is that I truly love animals and I have time to give them the care they need. Thank you for the consideration! I currently work remote so I am flexible in regards to when a pet needs care at any time. I also have availability on the weekends. I have ample space for pets to enjoy and run around. I live in a friendly neighborhood with minimal car traffic for walks. Open backyard as well.

About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!

Beth took fantastic care of our two standard poodles. Her backyard was poodle heaven. One of our spoods is pretty needy, and has some anxiety, but I didn’t worry for one moment knowing she was in Beth’s capable hands. Thank you Beth!

About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoid the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.

About: I've always had a natural connection with dogs since childhood. Dogs have always gravitated to my calm energy and ability to sense their needs. Your dog will not just be taken care of but will feel safe like they're spending time with an old friend. Retired computer nerd and musician available for dog walking and house visits most days of the week. Some dogs are welcome in our home with fenced in yard and 5 y.o. yellow lab Norma for playtime and companionship. My wife and I live in a wooded area in York with a large fenced in back yard. Jaclyn is a fantastic person who loves the dogs she watches like they are her own. She was immediately welcoming and caring towards our dogs when we dropped them off. She also sent regular photo and video updates sharing what our dogs were up to. I could tell they were well cared for and treated like part of the family. 10/10. Would recommend to others and rebook for my own dogs.

Martha is a true dog lover. From the very first time I met her she showed special attention and love to our dog Nala. She took her to the beach for a walks, introduced her to other dogs all while keeping me updated during Nails’s two day stay. She wasn’t afraid to share with me that Nala had some food guarding issues. I would highly recommend Martha.

I was very scared leaving my babies for the first time and Denise made everything go smooth. Such a nice person! Cant say enough about how kind and caring she is. Thank you Denise!❤️

Diamond was absolutely amazing with our dog, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in loving, caring, and responsible hands. She went above and beyond with updates, attention, and genuine care, and it was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. What really stood out was her kindness, patience, and professionalism. She treated our dog like family, and that means everything to us. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup says it all. We are beyond grateful for Diamond and would trust her again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and truly wonderful with animals, Diamond is the one. We would absolutely love to book with her again in the future!

This was our first time boarding with Alyssa and her family. I could tell from our initial meet-and-greet that our golden would love his time with them -- and he did! During his stay, Alyssa checked in on things she wasn't sure about and sent pictures and videos of his walks, snuggles with family, and trips to parks. I could tell our boy was a happy camper! Being assured he was in good hands made it a lot easier to enjoy our time away. Highly recommend and would definitely rebook!

Mack and Dennis had their very first Rover sleep-away with James, and they were welcomed with open arms by his whole family. Everyone was so sweet and hospitable, and his little girl gave them plenty of cuddles, which they absolutely loved. James was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, flexible, and genuinely accommodating. I felt completely at ease knowing my boys were in such a warm, caring home. I would absolutely recommend James to anyone looking for a trustworthy, family-oriented sitter. We will happily book with him again.

FAQs for Boarding - New Castle

Frequently asked questions about Rover

There are 385 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in New Castle. About 90% of New Castle sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
