Jeanne took amazing care of our two terriers, Shannie and Wesley. She has a beautiful farm with a large fenced-in area in the backyard for the dogs to play. She also takes them into the barn and on walks, so the dogs never got bored. Jeanne was very responsive, accommodating, and sent lots of photos during the week that she had the dogs. When we picked up Shannie and Wesley, they were healthy, happy, full of energy — it was obvious they'd enjoyed the farm and Jeanne's company, as they were not in any hurry to leave. Thank you, Jeanne!

About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!

Leaving our dog with a sitter through Rover for the first time was very nerve wracking but Joshua reassured us from the meet and greet to the very end of our vacation. He sent us updates everyday and communication was top tier. I would book with Joshua again. Highly recommend!

I recently left my Boston Terrier, Mia, with Donna and John during my vacation to Sicily for 11 days. Had not used them before, but after our initial meet and greet I felt confident they both had Mia’s best interest in mind and they genuinely love taking care of dogs! I was able to relax while gone and knew Mia was in a good place and having fun. Will definitely use John and Donna again !

Diamond was absolutely amazing with our dog, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in loving, caring, and responsible hands. She went above and beyond with updates, attention, and genuine care, and it was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. What really stood out was her kindness, patience, and professionalism. She treated our dog like family, and that means everything to us. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup says it all. We are beyond grateful for Diamond and would trust her again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and truly wonderful with animals, Diamond is the one. We would absolutely love to book with her again in the future!

Cecilia was so great with Luna! Understanding of special needs for anxiety/separation issues was not only able to accommodate my last minute request for day care, but fit in a meet and greet a day ahead to help Luna get comfortable with her and go over any needs. She went the extra mile staying late when I hit delays with work meetings and traffic, and was great with respecting limits and engaging Luna on her level for her intro sit, and reading dog behavior. I am picky about who I entrust my dog with, and I felt immediately comfortable with Cecilia on first meet. She demonstrated her care and professionalism from the start ~ asking the right pre-sit questions, clearly communicating, and providing regular updates while I was away. Really helped ease my mind and allow me to focus on the work I needed to do. I hope to continue with her as a regular sitter for Luna when we need someone!

I cannot speak more highly of Eric and his sweet family! They kept my dog while I had a week long work event in Boston, and they took fantastic care of her. They sent me regular photos and they promptly answered any nervous mama questions I sent their way. We were worried about her getting spooked by the fireworks over the holiday weekend, and Eric and his fam took lots of precaution to make sure she was safe and happy. The pups that live with them are sweet and they got along great with my dog. I will be booking with them again if we're ever in the area!

About: We provide a calm, loving, and personalized environment for one household at a time. Our home is currently pet free, which allows us to give each dog our full attention in a peaceful and low stress setting. Since there are usually two adults at home and one of us works a hybrid schedule, there is almost always someone home to provide companionship, supervision, affection, playtime, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day. Dogs have always been an important part of our lives, and caring for them is something we genuinely love and enjoy. We understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and emotionally secure when away from their family. Having experienced life with our own beloved dog through every stage of life, including senior care and medical needs, we understand how important patience, routine, comfort, and trust truly are. We have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and we truly enjoy spending quality time with them through play, affection, walks, and companionship. Because we only host one family at a time, we are able to create a more relaxed and personalized experience where dogs can receive individual attention and feel more at home. We also value communication and know how reassuring updates can be while away from your pet, so we always strive to provide regular updates, photos, and attentive care throughout each stay. We highly value meet and greets beforehand to help ensure that our home is the right fit and that each dog feels comfortable, safe, and welcomed. We are happy to communicate in either English or Spanish to help families feel as comfortable as possible. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine since our schedules allow for someone to usually be home throughout the day. This allows us to provide frequent supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, affection, and consistent attention during each stay. We enjoy maintaining a calm and structured environment where dogs can feel comfortable, relaxed, and part of the family. We understand that every dog has different routines, personalities, and comfort levels, so we do our best to help them feel safe, settled, and emotionally comfortable while away from home. Because we only host one household at a time, we are able to dedicate more individualized care, quality time, attention, and companionship to each dog throughout the day. Safety, supervision, and communication are very important to us. We are very mindful of each dog’s routine, comfort level, feeding schedule, potty schedule, exercise needs, and any instructions provided by their family. We understand that every dog adjusts differently to new environments, so we always try to create a positive and comfortable transition while respecting their personality, boundaries, and pace. We also value consistency and communication, and we make sure pet parents receive regular updates and photos throughout each stay so they can feel reassured while away. Before confirming a booking, we highly value meet and greets to help ensure that our home is the right fit and that everyone feels comfortable, safe, and confident moving forward.

Donny took such great care of my puppy Jax while I was on international travel. When I went to the meet and greet before, current clients who were there for training were singing his praises so I knew we were in good hands. While away, he sent me a handful of adorable videos showing Jax playing with the other dogs. I am so glad I found Donny and wouldn't hesitate to ask him to watch Jax again in the future. Thank you!!

To put it simply, Josh and Nicole are the best. Hank is not used to boarding or staying in other houses and they made him feel right at home and made him a part of their family. Hank likes to run and play and their huge fenced in backyard was a dream come true. Their home is full of dog beds, blankets, toys and a sofa just asking to be slept on. They truly love dogs and it shows the moment you meet them. I’m already planning another trip so he can go back!

Nicole and Josh watched my mom’s dog Missy who has never been away from her before. They communicated every day with pictures and gave updates on how she was doing. She adjusted well and loved going out in their yard and getting exercise! She felt like she was at home and we were very comfortable knowing she was well taken care of while we were away. There were a few dogs that they cared for during the day and Missy fit right in and they all got along great!!! I would definitely recommend them to board your dogs!

John was an incredible caretaker for my dog, Chester. He was extremely professional and trustworthy and went far above and beyond to ensure that Chester was comfortable and happy and that I was comfortable leaving him. He met us for meet and greets in advance so that Chester could get to know him in preparation for his stay. He took the time to plan a fun weekend of activities that align with Chester’s needs and interests and gave Chester a variety of enrichment experiences all weekend long. John sent regular updates, including a detailed daily recap that let me know all about how Chester was doing. I always felt well-informed and confident that Chester was having a great time. When Chester experienced some digestive upset during his stay, John helped Chester through it so thoughtfully. As a dog owner, John clearly provided his dogs with the highest level of care and extended that to Chester while he was there. John was wonderful to work with and I trust him completely and recommend him as a pet sitter wholeheartedly.

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
