Fuzzy Friend Whisperer

Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need.

Julia took wonderful care of our three cats while we were out of town. She did drop-in visits for several days and was fantastic about sending lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. Each of our cats has a very different personality, and she really took the time to connect with each of them. She was incredibly patient with our shy cat, giving him space and helping him feel comfortable, and she made sure our playful cat got plenty of attention and playtime. It was clear she genuinely cared about all of them and treated them like her own. Coming home to happy kitties made all the difference. We would absolutely trust Julia with our cats again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.

Julia made the process so easy! She quickly responded to my inquiry and set up a meeting for us. She made me feel at ease being so wonderful with Lucy during our visit and is such a natural reading cues etc. She sent many wonderful pics showing me all the fun and snuggles they had. Lucy clearly had a great time and felt so safe with Julia. Thank you!!

Julia took great care of my senior dog. I was nervous to leave him for the day and Julia sent me multiple photos and a write up that showed she really understands his personality. I knew he was in good hands and I will plan to hire Julia again.

Julia was amazing! She was responsive with any hiccups, questions, or problems which she took care of right away. She had an interest in and actively tried to make our cats' days enjoyable and routine as it can be when we're away.

Schedule

I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives on a farm/ranch
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

Pets

A typical day

We live near one of the most beautiful parks in the area, a great place for adventures with fuzzy friends. I take my dog there just about every day. If your dog stays with me they'll have a nice long walk every day and several outdoor breaks throughout the day. There may be a ball or a frisbee involved. Additional note about boarding: we’re available for drop off/pickup between 8:30am and 8:00pm.
