I work from home which allows me to always be present to keep your pet company, and love taking small cuddle, walk and play breaks throughout the day to break up my desk routine. Having extra dogs is the perfect excuse to stretch my legs!

I live alone in a spacious apartment downtown Portsmouth where I can board up to 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs at a time. I am only a 5min walk from the Mill Pond dog park and can take your dog for several walks throughout the day. I can also crate your dog if they prefer it. I can administer medication and provide any special treatment necessary. I treat all pets as my own, like members of my family.

A typical day
My goal is to give your pet their own vacation experience! We go for walks around downtown Porstmouth, to the dog park, and occasionally (if car-friendly, and time permitting) to other nearby parks and trails. Dogs are welcome on the couch and snuggle time is guaranteed. If your dog likes to fetch or tug, we can explore those activities as well.

I've had large dogs my entire life, including a special needs dog and police-trained K9 dogs. I have owned and operated a farm hotel in Brazil for the past 5 years, where I was the primary responsible for all daily care, injections, medical treatments and behavioral work with the animals (5 large dogs and multiple farm animals), so am very comfortable administering any special care your animal may need. I have also rescued & fostered nearly a dozen dogs from the street and helped them find forever homes. I love all animals and understand each one is different with unique personalities. Kelsey recently took care of my cat while I was away. She handled everything I asked to the letter with regard to feeding, litter box, etc. I have known her for some years and she has always shown herself to be reliable and responsible. My cat has taken a liking to her which as you know, cats are very good judges of character. Usually my cat would be crazy after I’m away because she gets lonely, but Kelsey seemed to have given her love and affection as well because she seemed content. She is just as good with dogs as I have seen with my neighbors dogs. She is great with details if you have pets with specific needs. I would recommend Kelsey to anyone looking for assistance with their pet in any way.

Kelsey is the type of person who pays attention to the little details, communicates well, and truly cares about the well-being of every animal in her care.
