About: I'm currently a Pre-Veterinary student at University of New Hampshire and currently work at a local veterinary clinic. As a veterinary assistant I have gained experience with animal handling and care. I am also Fear Free Certified and know had to adequately prevent fear, anxiety, and stress in both cats and dogs. I have previously worked at a training facility and am familiar with certain signals and behaviors that animals demonstrate to express themselves. I have owned cats and dogs my entire life and have been exposed to many types of breeds, species, and seen interesting cases regarding animal health. When I'm not at school I take care of my two dogs and cats at home. Furthermore, I work part-time at a veterinary clinic at school and at home so I am constantly surrounded by animals and have exposure to many cases. I previously owned a diabetic cat and learned how to administer insulin shots and monitor her glucose levels multiple times a day. I feed and water my animals in my home at least twice a day, snacks are often provided as well. I walk my dogs as much as necessary (typically twice a day). I always play with my cats and dogs. I have a kitten who loves playing fetch with toy mice and a 5 year old dog who enjoys hiking trips and swimming. The two dogs get groomed when needed but I brush them consistently in between grooms. Finally, I am responsible when it comes to my animals' health and notice any changes in behavior or appearance almost immediately. I find it important to keep them up to date with vaccines and any other medications they need.

“After meeting with Gwen we felt they were a good fit, and we scheduled nightly check ins/ feedings for our cats for the 10 days we would be visiting family. Gwen has such a pleasant demeanor and always talks to our cats just like we would! We made it clear that our priority is the cats getting love and attention and they consistently played with and loved on our cats. They are great at following instructions and not only made sure our cats were loved and fed but also took care of our many plants, and even tackled the weekly deep clean of our giant litter box! Our cats always seem happy to see Gwen and we got detailed updates and excellent communication throughout our trip. When we had to extend our trip for a couple days, they went above and beyond and accommodated to be able to continue the check-ins for those days. Gwen is a friendly, responsible, attentive person and is a fabulous sitter! We highly recommend their services!”

“Ashley is wonderful. She communicates, send tons of photos, and is extremely trustworthy. We would absolutely hire her again! Lucky to have found her in such short notice as well. Thank you Ashley 👏🏽”

About: Your Dog’s New Favorite Human 🐾✨ Hi there! I’m your go-to dog lover with 5+ years of hands-on experience in training, sitting, and traveling with pups of all sizes and personalities. Whether your dog is high-energy, a little shy, or somewhere in between—I meet them exactly where they are. I’ve worked with everything from playful puppies learning the ropes to older dogs who just want a calm, loving companion. My background in training means I reinforce good behavior (with lots of positive vibes), and my experience in pet sitting + transport means your dog is always in safe, capable hands—whether we’re at home or on the move. 🐶 What makes me different? I don’t just “watch” dogs—I connect with them. I pay attention to their body language, routines, and quirks so they feel comfortable, secure, and honestly… a little spoiled. 🚗 Bonus: I’m experienced in traveling with dogs, so if your pup loves (or needs) to hit the road, I’ve got it covered safely and stress-free. 💛 You can expect: • Reliable communication & photo updates • A calm, confident handler • Lots of love, play, and attention • Respect for your dog’s routine and needs At the end of the day, I treat every dog like they’re my own—because they deserve nothing less. I currently work as a remote logistics coordinator for my company, so I am flexible with my availability for your dogs needs. I also am a pet reiki practioner (which is run by appointment only). I care for every pet with genuine love, compassion, and attention to their individual needs—just like I would my own. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and structured environment where dogs can relax, play, and feel comfortable. I stick closely to their normal routines (feeding, walks, sleep schedules) so they experience as little disruption as possible. There’s always plenty of affection, supervision, and positive interaction throughout the day. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the space and the pet’s routine. I make sure your dog feels secure in their familiar environment while maintaining consistency with feeding, exercise, and any training habits you’ve established. I also keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know your pet is happy and well cared for. No matter the service, my approach is simple: as much love as possible, paired with reliability, safety, and thoughtful care.

About: I’ve taken care of a family dog Chihuahua for the past 8 years. I enjoy taking her on walks and giving her all the attention she deserves! I currently am on a job rotation in Maine. I am unable to take the step to caring for a dog full time, but I’d love to fill the void with weekly care! I care for a dog like I’d care for a family member. It’s important for me to create a comfortable environment for the dog to hang around in
“Amanda was so great for drop-ins with our senior dog when we had to travel! We got thorough updates and progress reports and the cutest pictures. She kept up with her medications and routine. After our first meet and greet I knew she'd be great with our dog and she definitely was!”
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and taking care of them has always felt natural to me. Over the years I’ve had the joy of caring for many different pets/animals. This ranges from dogs to cats to smaller animals like rabbits and hamsters, horses, and even a few cows. Each one had their own little personality, and I took the time to get to know what made them feel safe and happy. Whether I’m feeding them, going for walks, or just sitting with them so they don’t feel alone, I really enjoy being someone animals can trust. Taking care of them never feels like a chore but it’s something I genuinely love. Even as a college student, I make sure pet care fits comfortably into my schedule. I plan my classes and study time so I always have enough space in my day for walks, feeding, playtime, and anything else a pet might need. Having a routine actually helps keep me organized and caring for animals gives me a nice break from schoolwork and something positive to look forward to. I’m very mindful about time management, so I make sure each pet gets consistent attention and doesn’t feel rushed or overlooked. You and your animal can trust me because I truly care about creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet I look after. I’ve been around animals my whole life, so I understand how important it is to be patient, gentle, and consistent. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routines, and comfort levels so they never feel overwhelmed or ignored. I’m responsible, reliable, and always put their well-being first. Whether that means sticking closely to your instructions, keeping a close eye on their safety, or simply giving them reassurance when they’re nervous. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is being cared for with the same love and attention I’d give my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - New Castle
Our scheduled pet sitter canceled and in desperation, I searched the internet and found Rover. I sent out my request and in minutes James responded. I was instantly relieved. He came over to visit us before leaving for vacation to meet us and our pets. James administered medication and took wonderful care of our 4 cats and dog. We are super grateful for all the help and services James provided us. We will definitely rebook again!!!

Haleigh was just absolutely wonderful! She was so communicative, punctual, thoughtful, and caring for our dog and even checked on our cats too. She gave updates and cared for every need, was so nice and friendly, took our pup for walks, outdoor play time, cuddles, washed food containers, and even brought our packages in from the rain. I can’t recommend her highly enough!!

Teresa was exactly on time and prepared to play. She is friendly, conscientious, and obviously loves animals. My dogs had a great workout with her in the yard and I felt completely comfortable leaving them with her. I also really appreciate that she respects the boundaries of my anxious doggo and listened to the advice I gave about bonding with her. I now feel confident about hiring Teresa for dog sitting in my home.
