About: I am a full time professional who absolutely loves dogs. I have an interest in one day incorporating animal-assisted therapy into my career. My family had a golden retriever as I was growing up who was my best bud. In 2020, my partner and I gained the most precious family member... Layla! She is a rescue pup from Tennessee and we couldn't be more in love. Layla has some challenges with anxiety/reactivity due to trauma when she was a babe. I have considerable experience caring for dogs with similar histories. If you choose me to care for your pet, rest assured that he/she will be treated as part of the family. Plus, Layla loves meeting new friends. :) People describe me as friendly, compassionate, responsible and reliable. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. - Suzanne I have a hybrid work schedule- MTW in the office, Th and F with more availability. I love to spend time outside walking, running, or just getting fresh air. I recently moved to a new apartment building, which had a nice fenced in pet area to have dogs run around. I will crate your dog if preferred, and do my best to follow his/her normal routines. Expect lots of love and snuggles while your dog is in my care.
“Jessica took great care of our cats while we were away for a long weekend. She was very professional and reliable, and the kitties enjoyed her company — even the timid one! Thanks again!”

“Gavin was wonderful with my dogs. He arrived on time, made sure they got plenty of outside time, and even brought in a package from my front steps. I am very glad to have Gavin available to watch my boys when I need to be away.”

About: Hi! my name is Ally! I have grown up with dogs my whole life, from Dalmatians to Jack Russell’s. I started volunteering at the NHSPCA in high school and discovered my love for helping & animals. I am a registered nurse and looking to fuel my hobby spending time with animals. I currently work full time in Dover, NH and bring my dog Poppy into the office with me. My family had a 12 year old blind Jack Russell named Sherman who was not friendly to other animals while we were growing up, so I am used to dogs on the more complicated side. I believe every animal deserves love and attention and I hope to provide that! My schedule is flexible on the weekends. I work full time but am home by 5pm so ai can do evenings as well. I love to keep animals in their routines. Even if it’s just being with them at home. I am a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter who cares a considerable amount for all animals. I will happily care for them like my own.

“I cannot recommend Patrick enough. For every single visit with our pets, he went above and beyond our expectations. Patrick was highly empathetic when interacting with our pets and was he able to befriend them quickly. We have two dogs (one fearful), a cat, and a bird and Patrick was able to adjust his care perfectly for each of their individual needs.”

About: Have been around dogs my whole life, always had at least one in my household. I’ve watched multiple families dogs, friends dogs, even friends of families dogs. I don’t think of them as just pets I think of them as best friends and a companion I’m currently working evening shifts at a restaurant waitressing about 4 nights a week. Most days that i work are Mondays, Wednesday’s, Fridays and Sundays the rest of the days I have completely off. I have my morning and afternoons available as well on the days that I am working. Have a pretty flexible schedule! I have a big fenced in yard with plenty of play room! Currently only have 2 cats in my household no dogs at the moment they get along really well with dogs since they’ve grown up around them but if your dog doesn’t get along with cats we have a separate area in my household where my cats usually stay so I can keep them apart.
“Our 12yr old dog Murray has recent mobility issues, so taking him to a daycare on days he’s alone for an extended period is no longer an option. Barbara came to our house for an initial meet & greet with Murray, and he immediately loved her. When we booked Barbara for a visit on a day when our family was out, she came at the appointed time to give him lots of love and attention, and even coaxed him outside for some fresh air. He was smiling in every photo! We’ll definitely be using Barbara for future visits.”

I am in the office Wednesday through Friday and will have less time but still available. Weekends are free unless I'm away. I live on an acre of land. It is not a fully fenced yard but it is set back in a small, quiet neighborhood on a dead end road. I have an indoor cat.
“Absolutely incredible sitter! Great communication, tons of pictures, and my cats obviously really liked her which is the biggest plus! I hate leaving my pets for extended periods of time but Marion put me immediately at ease after her first visit. Highly highly recommend for your pets!”

About: Pets (and their people!) can sense my reliability, warmth, and attention to detail right away. I think it's because I'm a natural "pet magnet" - peaceful & present with animals of all kinds. I never cut corners when it comes to pet care or comfort. Whether it's extra snuggles, sticking to a precise routine, or noticing small changes in behavior, I bring a watchful eye and a caring heart to every visit. At home, I have hands-on experience with a variety of dogs. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, from toy breeds to large companions. I’ve also cared for cats, fish, and birds for years, so you can call on me for a wide range of companion animal needs. The safety, happiness, and well-being of your pets are my top priorities. I am ever-mindful of how much they mean to you, and that informs the care I provide. I have lots of flexibility with scheduling at this time. Just as long as another owner hasn't booked me already, I am available seven days a week. I will follow your instructions for how you keep your pets in your home. Feeding routines, potty routines, play-time and walks, whether or not they're allowed on furniture - you call the shots!
“Krista is absolutely wonderful in all aspects! She is extremely compassionate and takes the time to get “in tune” with individualized needs and desires of each fur baby. She’s a great communicator, detail oriented and goes the extra mile. She took the admin of an oral med for my kitty head on and was successful (I had no doubts whatsoever!). I highly, highly recommend Krista and I’m sure my sweet boy Otis looks forward to her next visit 🫶”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Portsmouth
Julianne has been amazing with our new puppy, Bramble! She's been very patient with our puppy, and has given us peace of mind while we are away at work. She has sent us updates throughout her drop in visits and plenty of pictures of Bramble as well! We cannot recommend Julianne enough!

Tati was amazing as she helped us out in a pinch using the drop in services for our dog. She was responsive, prompt with her visits, and sent plenty of photos, despite knowing I was going to be out of cell service for this visit. 10/10 would recommend her and rebook her

Our scheduled pet sitter canceled and in desperation, I searched the internet and found Rover. I sent out my request and in minutes James responded. I was instantly relieved. He came over to visit us before leaving for vacation to meet us and our pets. James administered medication and took wonderful care of our 4 cats and dog. We are super grateful for all the help and services James provided us. We will definitely rebook again!!!

Haleigh was just absolutely wonderful! She was so communicative, punctual, thoughtful, and caring for our dog and even checked on our cats too. She gave updates and cared for every need, was so nice and friendly, took our pup for walks, outdoor play time, cuddles, washed food containers, and even brought our packages in from the rain. I can’t recommend her highly enough!!

Sarah couldn’t have been more wonderful with our pup! She was so responsive, considerate, professional, and caring. She was right on time, took care of all of our dog’s needs, played and snuggled, sent great pictures and updates, and overall we just felt so happy and confident leaving our dog in her care!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
