About: Hello! I am a proud owner of two husky babies with my boyfriend Alex, who is now joining me on Rover. We both have experience in all types of breeds and training levels. We will take care of your pet like they are our own with love, proper care & responsibility - two sitters for the price of one! We are new to the Sanford area and are looking for extra income to renovate our first home. I am currently studying for my masters degree and WFH Mon-Wed. Outside of that, Alex is home the rest of the week so we will always have someone around - your baby will never be alone. Whether you have a fenced in yard or no yard at all, we will get the exercise in that they need depending on your approval. Walks, runs, dog parks, car rides, trips to the beach, hikes, etc. we will have a blast until you come home! If your pet(s) are staying with us, we live in a very safe area and have a large fenced in yard. Do be aware, our dogs will also be here, but they absolutely adore making new friends and are the definition of friendly.
“Ashley is wonderful. She communicates, send tons of photos, and is extremely trustworthy. We would absolutely hire her again! Lucky to have found her in such short notice as well. Thank you Ashley 👏🏽”

My dogs had a great workout with her in the yard and I felt completely comfortable leaving them with her. I also really appreciate that she respects the boundaries of my anxious doggo and listened to the advice I gave about bonding with her. About: Hi there — I’m a dedicated, experienced pet sitter with 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities. I truly believe there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach when it comes to our pets—every dog has their own routines, quirks, comfort levels, and needs, and I love taking the time to get to know what makes your pup feel safe, happy, and at home. Whether your dog is high-energy and playful, shy and cautious, older and in need of a slower pace, or has specific behavioral or medical needs, communication is everything. Please share any concerns, routines, triggers, fears, or special requests ahead of time—we’ll work together to make their stay as stress-free and personalized as possible. My home offers a large yard for supervised outdoor time, plenty of love, structure, and attention. I’m also a mom to two amazing kids (ages 5 and 7) who have been raised around animals and are very respectful of pet boundaries, body language, and personal space. For overnight stays, I do recommend bringing your dog’s crate if they’re crate-trained or may need a familiar, secure space for bedtime or decompression. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for—while you have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving, experienced hands. I’d love to meet your pup! 🐾 I can do overnights Wednesday Thursday and Fridays! Just reach out to me, schedule updated weekly for other services - overnights stay the same. Thanks! Your pet - your rules! I can play, snuggle, walk, feed, bathe your pet. I can crate your pet if requested. What you say goes!
“Our 12yr old dog Murray has recent mobility issues, so taking him to a daycare on days he’s alone for an extended period is no longer an option. Barbara came to our house for an initial meet & greet with Murray, and he immediately loved her. When we booked Barbara for a visit on a day when our family was out, she came at the appointed time to give him lots of love and attention, and even coaxed him outside for some fresh air. He was smiling in every photo! We’ll definitely be using Barbara for future visits.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - York Beach
Before I tell you how wonderful Jeff is (and he is wonderful) I need to provide a background as to how we selected Jeff as our sitter. We were in need of a sitter for our four dogs as our previous sitter decided to leave Rover and focus on her artwork. I then began my search on Rover for a new sitter and I interviewed over a dozen potential candidates but none of them worked out. One husband and wife team appeared to be great but when it came down to asking them if they would sit for our dogs, they never returned my text messages. A couple of other potential sitters were offended because I was transparent with them and told them I was in fact interviewing other candidates. Some of the other sitters were a bit too young so we did not feel comfortable leaving our dogs with them for twelve days. My search continued and I came across Jeff’s name for the first time. I know he was new to Rover and for some reason that did not bother me. So, I contacted Jeff and we are so happy I did! Jeff is mature, respectful, and kind. We talked for quite awhile and I knew my search was over as I knew Jeff was going to be our sitter. I was so confident, I told him we were looking for a long-term relationship in a sitter and he agreed it was a good idea. When Jeff came for a meet and greet, our four dogs fell in love with him. One of our dogs has anxiety so he is our gauge as to whether a sitter will work or not. Jeff walked up to Wrangler and Wrangler was not his anxious crazy self but instead was pretty calm. This is all because of Jeff’s calm demeanor. We didn’t have a care in the world when we left our dogs with Jeff and went on vacation. Jeff cared for them and played with them many times a day. He took some of them for walks and helped them burn off energy. Jeff kept us informed as to how the dogs were doing and at one point I told him I didn’t need too many updates because I had complete trust in him. We have used Jeff a couple of times since our original vacation and each time we came home our dogs were so calm and relaxed and not stressed from us being away. We have already have booked Jeff for a few other visits and we will continue our relationship with him. As I noted previously, I knew we were going to be one of Jeff’s first clients but I never saw hiring him as a risk because of the conversation we had. I cannot stress enough that you should give Jeff a chance. At minimum contact him and have a conversation with him and I am confident you will select him as your sitter. We have four dogs and taking care of them is not easy but Jeff has done it multiple times!

Kristin & James have watched our dogs several times and have been fantastic. They are super communicative and willing to go above and beyond to make sure our boys are taken care of, including last-minute scheduling changes and late bookings. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality care for their dogs!
Lily is the best of the best! Our dogs love her. She is the first person I contact every time I need to travel and leave my dogs at home. She is so attentive to instructions, always on time, and cares so much for our dogs! She always takes so many photos of our pets and is quick to respond if anything pops up! Lily is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in York Beach with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
