“My dog - Munchkin - stayed wtih Jeanne for a day while we did some sightseeing. Her place was clean and well kept. She was warm, calm and friendly and we felt that we were leaving our dog in good hands and felt the same when we picked her up. She had a small fenced enclosure with small to medium dogs and a larger fenced enclosure where she promised to walk the animals for some exercise. She also addressed my concerns about having my dog have some space or separation from her other dog guests as our dog wasn't that accustomed to lots of dogs at once. I would use Jeanne's service again without hesitation. ”

In fact, they went above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for - letting her snuggle with them at night, sending me frequent updates and pup pics, going out of their way to pick up beef and rice and cook it for my girl when her stool was soft, and packing the rest to go when I picked her up. Their dog Cleo is a sweetheart, and joined in on the doggy snuggles. I know if I ever need a sitter again I’ll be reaching out to Shana.”

About: Over the past 35 years, we've had three dogs who lived to 13, 14 and 15 years. We are very familiar with older dogs as well as young dogs and enjoy playing with dogs. After the loss of our last dog, Lucy, we decided to take a break from having another dog as we were empty nesters. We love dogs and were encouraged by our grown children to try Rover. We live on a quiet street near the York Harbor Beach and our house is far from the road with woods all around us. I am a regular daily walker and would love to have a dog to walk with me on occasion. I am familiar with the regulations on leashes, beach hours and waste bags. We are generally home on the days we accept pet sitting to take care of any visiting dogs. We became pet sitters because we enjoy hanging out with dogs. We have a large backyard surrounded by woods far from roads as well as a home that is dog friendly. We live about 2/3 mile from a quiet beach and it is a perfect walk for most dogs.

About: Kristine and Eric have loved and had animals our entire life. I have always helped care for pets, even as a child. Eric was raised on a farm, caring for many different kinds of animals- waking up before dawn to ensure that all animals were properly cared for and had what they needed for the day whether it be rain, shine, snow, sleet, hot, or cold. We, together, have two dogs. They are both around 10 years old and are rescues. We also have 6 chickens. Our home has a door from the downstairs to the upstairs. When dogs are home during the day and if left alone for 1 hour or so they stay downstairs with access to water, comfy couches, and dog bed areas. When we are home they have free run of the home. We also have a crate for dogs that may need a private, safe space. We have a back yard that our dog enjoys playing in, but just so you know it is not fenced in, therefore dogs remain leashed when in the back yard. We do have a deck that is closed off in the backyard where dogs can be left unleashed to hang out, but always supervised when out there. We also have a 15 year old daughter who loves animals. She assists with the care of our dogs and we have fostered a few dogs in the past from various shelters and she is always eager to assist with making these dogs feel comfortable and give them love. She volunteers at a local animal shelter with small mammals and takes care of the chickens I work full time during the school year for a school district. Eric works from home. Eric takes dogs for a number of walks per day including walks to the local dog park (Rogers Park) and to local beaches for exercise and socialization. I am home by 3:30 pm and bring my dogs (and other dogs) for exercise either running, hiking, or walking. In the summer I am mostly around. I also grew up with cats and with both have experience with cats and providing meds to cats, including insulin shots. I work full time and Eric works part to full time but we can walk dogs in the evening and walk dogs throughout the day on the weekends. I have summers off as I work in a school. I will not be offering care in my home, but am excited to take care of your pet and walk your dog and take your dog on adventures.

About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

About: I was lucky enough to train at a highly established pet boarding facility for over two years, in which time I learned how to provide the best experience for all of our furry friends. I am also CPR certified for adult dogs, puppies, and cats! Aside from that, I have grown up with and around dogs my whole life. I am currently a full time student at The University of Maine, however my schedule is very light next semester with most of my classes being online. “My dog - Munchkin - stayed wtih Jeanne for a day while we did some sightseeing. Her place was clean and well kept. She was warm, calm and friendly and we felt that we were leaving our dog in good hands and felt the same when we picked her up. She had a small fenced enclosure with small to medium dogs and a larger fenced enclosure where she promised to walk the animals for some exercise. She also addressed my concerns about having my dog have some space or separation from her other dog guests as our dog wasn't that accustomed to lots of dogs at once. I would use Jeanne's service again without hesitation. ”
“Our almost 1yr old golden retriever Josie loved her 4 night stay with Nick and his family! Nick was caring, thoughtful, and communicative. “I am so glad and grateful that Shana and Dylan watched my pup this week. I could not have asked for anyone better!! I adopted my dog less than two weeks ago and - still getting to know her - had a trip planned and needed to board her for 5 days. I was hoping for someone to treat my dog like their own and Shana and Dylan did just that. In fact, they went above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for - letting her snuggle with them at night, sending me frequent updates and pup pics, going out of their way to pick up beef and rice and cook it for my girl when her stool was soft, and packing the rest to go when I picked her up. Their dog Cleo is a sweetheart, and joined in on the doggy snuggles. I know if I ever need a sitter again I’ll be reaching out to Shana.”

Everyone was so sweet and hospitable, and his little girl gave them plenty of cuddles, which they absolutely loved. James was incredibly easy to work with. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and cared for family and friends dogs for a very long time. Love having dogs in my life they bring so much joy. Everyday they make me laugh. Love to play fetch and walking trails. I have a two year old grandchild two days a week so dogs must be very friendly and like children. I will be available to start in home doggie day care on Sept 28th. I have two labs of my own. They are very friendly and will love to play with your dog inside a roomy home and fenced in yard.

“I cannot speak more highly of Eric and his sweet family! They kept my dog while I had a week long work event in Boston, and they took fantastic care of her. They sent me regular photos and they promptly answered any nervous mama questions I sent their way. We were worried about her getting spooked by the fireworks over the holiday weekend, and Eric and his fam took lots of precaution to make sure she was safe and happy. The pups that live with them are sweet and they got along great with my dog. I will be booking with them again if we're ever in the area!”
