“Alyssa is absolutely wonderful. I have a new puppy...and have to work. Alyssa stops in midday to check in on him. She goes above and beyond. Not only does she care for and play with him, but she also takes the time to help reinforce his training. Hank and I think Alyssa is the best!”

“We are very happy to say that Jarrod was responsible with Pepprel’s care and schedule. When need be, we will not hesitate to call on him again.”

“Hannah is amazing with our cats! We’ve hired Hannah any time we’re away and they love her and she really goes the extra mile with our expectations. Highly recommend!”

About: I'm Hannah, a nurse practitioner. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, and running. Exploring new trails is one of my passions. I dream of having a dog someday, but I'm waiting until I have a backyard big enough to play fetch. I'm a compassionate person who loves animals and have many years experience with pet sitting. I'm eager to find clients in the area to offer reliable pet sitting services. I currently work a full time job but I am interested in providing care after work and on weekends as needed for my future clients. I offer pet care only in clients' homes. I am available for regular drop in visits or on an as-needed basis to meet your needs.

“James was so great with my cat, Boots! He kept him entertained and well taken care of while I was away. I would definitely hire him again.”

About: I have experience working with small to xl dogs, young to old. I have been caring for pets for 6 years, 1 of which I was also working in boarding at an animal hospital and gained experience administering medication. I have spent a lot of time with socially anxious and separation anxiety dogs and learned a lot about patience with their needs. For the past year and a half, I worked at a dog board and train facility where I spent my time taking care of a variety of breeds and temperaments including aggression and resource guarding. I have the most experience with high energy breeds including German Shepard Dogs and Belgian Malignois. I am confident in my dog handling skills and behavioral challenges that come my way. I am a full time college student so most of my time is filled with classes. A few days a week I am done early so I will have time to care for your pet and love them just as you would. I do not provide in home care. In your home I would love to play with your fur baby and spend time with them while you’re away. I can tailor to your needs to make sure your pet has their needs met.

“Chloe was the best with my dog Benny! It was my first time using Rover and she knocked it out of the park. She had to deal with Benny being benny and she faced it like a champ. So thankful for her and how communicative she was throughout the whole process. I will definitely be having Chloe help with benny anytime I leave next!”

About: I grew up in a house that always had multiple dogs and multiple cats, and couldn’t imagine living any other way! I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, who I consider my children (no human children). All my love is poured into my fur babies, and while they are needy and have 0 concept of personal space, they love hard and are incredibly welcoming to all our visitors, human and fur alike! I foster puppies and small dogs through Pope Memorial animal shelter in Dover, so I have a lot of experience with bathroom training and crate training if needed. I recently left the corporate world, and couldn’t think of anything more rewarding than spending time with my fur babies, and helping other fur parents take care of their little loves. I’m home all week, with exceptions for weekly tasks (ie grocery shopping). I have a fenced in portion of the yard that I use specifically for my dogs, there is an entrance to the fenced in yard from the house so there is no unsafe transition to get them from the house to the yard where they could pull or run away. My dogs are allowed on furniture and on my bed, but I also have several dog crates available if a visitor prefers sleeping alone. I have 2 male cats, who act more like dogs. They snuggle with my dogs and get along great with all puppies and small dogs who visit! On rainy days when outside play is hard, I like to take our dogs to the Foxrun mall, where they allow dogs on leashes! It’s a great way to socialize them and get some exercise. I only take one animal per trip, so most of the time this requires multiple trips, but everyone is always so happy and tuckered out afterwards!

“Everything went as planned. Thank you for being so reliable!”

About: I combine patience, experience, and genuine affection for pets of all kinds. Whether it’s an energetic pup, a gentle senior, or a shy cat, I adapt to meet their needs and make them feel at home. Taking care of pets is part of my regular routine. I like to get outside and stay active by walking and running dogs, and I make sure to spend quality time giving pets the attention and love they deserve. It’s something I enjoy and look forward to fitting into my days. I prioritize safety and comfort above all when caring for pets. Whether I’m visiting your home or welcoming pets into mine, I will make sure the environment is clean, secure, and pet-friendly. I will also follow any specific instructions you provide and keep a close eye on your pet’s behavior to ensure they’re happy and safe at all times. Building trust with both pets and owners is important to me, so I communicate openly and am responsive to any needs or concerns.

About: I love dogs and have a beautiful 7.5 yo 1/2 Lab 1/2 GSP of my own who I fostered and then adopted February 2018; she will gladly keep your dog company and busy playing at my home. I have a large fenced in back yard 2 miles from downtown Portsmouth with plenty of room for the dogs to play and run around in. I work from home, and have some time on my hands to give lots of love and attention to your dog/dogs for the time being. I will only take up to 2 dogs (over 2 years of age only for both daycare and boarding!) in at a time for day care and 1 or 2 for boarding so your dog will get plenty of love and one on one attention. You can rest assured knowing I will care for your pets better than most. When I am walking your dog, I will engage with them, give them loads of attention, and will not be looking at/reading my phone! There are toys and tennis balls for them to play with in the yard and they will be let out every 2 hours for potty breaks and play, and can lounge around on the couches if they feel like it too. If they are 100% with recall, we go for trail enrichment hikes/ walks otherwise they can be walked on leash around my neighborhood. At bed time, I play soft spa like music so the pups can sleep well and comfortable. I would like to have a meet and greet with all dogs and owners before they board at my home. My daycare rates are for up to 8 hours per day. If you drop your dog off at 8:30am, the dog must be picked up by 4:30pm otherwise you will be charged another half day rate. Latest pickup is 6:30pm. After 6:30pm it becomes an overnight boarding. Unfortunately, I cannot take any dogs in that show any signs of aggression. Thank you for understanding. I am currently working from home, and also own my own business so as long as I am home and not traveling I am here for the dogs most of the day. We cater to dogs that need a little extra support and don’t do well in a chaotic kennel environment, which is why it is more of a “boutique “service. (1:1) At the most, I might pop out for an hour but the dogs will not be left alone for more than an hour or 2 max. I have a large crate here if your dogs likes to be crated. I am not currently housesitting, only taking dogs in at my home. I do not book out months in advance. I generally only book out one or two months in advance. I am currently not booking for 2026. I will start booking for 2026 in November 2025. I let the dogs out every couple of hours for potty breaks and play. I will only take in 2-3 dogs max for daycare at a time and one or two dogs at a time for overnights, as to not overwhelm any of the dogs. This is a relaxed stress free environment for the dogs.

About: Hello! My profile reads Julianna, but I prefer to go by Fern! I recently graduated with a degree in Biology and am passionate about animals. I grew up with pets, from a 10 pound to chihuahua to a 150 pound Anatolian shepherd, and am comfortable with all shapes and sizes of pets. I have a natural affinity for animals, and love spending hours walking, grooming, and playing with them. I have completely open and flexible availability and would love to get to know your furry friends. Having just graduated, I am completely open and have the time for extended play dates with pets, including long walks if you have a high energy animal. I have the free time and energy to devote to pet care as it is my sole focus. I believe that working with cats and dogs requires a mutual understanding and respect. In training my own dogs I do not yell at or punish them for misbehavior, instead establishing positive feedback to encourage good behavior. When walking a dog, I let it take its time and do not tug or rush it along, as a walk is for the dogs enjoyment. I like to build trust with an animal and love giving them all the attention they could ever desire.

“Will is wonderful with our dog and wonderful to work with. He even organized a doggie play date for our dog with a neighbor dog. So creative and going the extra mile.”
