“Laurie was wonderful! We booked her for a few days worth of drop-in visits with our 1 year old dog Luna (40-lb border collie mix). We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom to my French Bulldog, Buoy. Being his owner has given me hands-on experience with daily care, routines, and all the little details that keep dogs happy, healthy, and comfortable. In addition to caring for my own pup, work as a babysitter, and many of the families I work with have both dogs and cats. I regularly help care for their pets as part of my time with them—whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company while their owners are away. I work as a teacher, so am primarily looking to find pet care jobs on the weekends, but would potentially have availability during the weekday evenings if needed. I like to take the time to really get to know each animal and understand their personality, routine, and comfort level. Every pet is different, and I want them to feel safe and relaxed with me from the start. I prefer to schedule a meet and greet with both the pet and owner before beginning any drop-in visits or walks. This gives me a chance to learn their routine, go over any specific needs or preferences, and make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. It also helps your pet feel more comfortable since we’ve already met in a familiar environment.

About: I have grown up with dogs in my house, from both a rescue and puppy age. My neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs, both staying overnight and taking them on walks. I am a recent college graduate, spending my summer applying to jobs, so I have a lot of free time that can be spent taking care of your animals! About: Taking care of animals is my joy. I have 3 healthy cats and an 8 week old puppy at home who I take care of, and I have been dog and cat sitting since I was around 12. When I was younger I put up flyers around town for my little pet care business, and people loved how I took care of their animals. I am currently working part time and in online school, so my schedule is very flexible and I have lots of time to take care of animals! My cats that I have had for years are healthy and happy and they are my best friends. I have never missed feeding or playing or cuddling, and I will treat my clients animals like they are my own.
