“We had an excellent experience with our dog sitter, Veska. She took amazing care of Oaits and was gentle, attentive, and highly professional throughout. She made sure to understand what Oatis’ needs were by communicating with us and kept us up to date through out the stay. It was clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and we felt completely at ease knowing Oaits was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter.”

“Louis had the very best day - (he told me so). Within 2 seconds of being in the car, he passed out. The little doggy pool was right up his alley. Thanks so much for taking such great care of him.”

“Cecelia was great with our dog, Flora. We really appreciated receiving updates and pictures, and Flora seemed happy to return to see Cecelia again. She was very flexible and responsive. We would definitely leave Flora with Cecelia again!”

“Karen and family graciously took care of my dog while I was in meetings from morning - evening. She was SO kind and accomodating of my schedule, was very loving of my pup and sent regular photos and updates on his activities throughout the day. She was terrific! We give her 4 paws-up!”

“Nicole was fantastic with Teddy! She gave us a tour of her home and we received multiple updates with photos throughout Teddy's stay. Teddy had a great time and really loved the fenced in backyard. Highly recommend and we'll definitely book again with Nicole!”

About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.
“FROM OLIVER'S POINT OF VIEW IT WAS PERFECT. ANN WAS KIND ENOUGH TO EMAIL A PHOTO OF HER DOG AND OUR DOG RELAXING IN HER HOUSE. WE MET THE DAY BEFORE ON THE BEACH IN HAMPTON TO INTRODUCE THE DOGS. I'M MOST GRATEFUL TO ANN, HER HUSBAND, AND ROVER FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO ATTEND OUR GRANDSON'S WEDDING.”

“Ashley was great with Farley and had other friendly dogs there for Farley to play with. They went on a field trip and dipped in the water and Ashley sent photos throughout the day of Farley having fun. Thanks Ashley!”

“Josh and Nicole were kind enough to accept our last minute day care request and our pup had a great time! We were thankful for their flexibility and the extra help in motivating our dog to eat dinner.”

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs my entire life, growing up I gained experience with all stages of life for cats and dogs, from 8 weeks old to senior care. As our dogs (Dude and Pookie) aged, I spent my teenage years developing a strong appreciation for the extra patience, attentiveness, and support older animals need. I also raised my own dog, Koda (9), so I understand the consistency, structure, and engagement younger dogs require. I am also very experienced with all ages of cats, please see my cat sitter profile for more in depth information. :) Since I work from home, I’m able to provide a high level of supervision, consistent care, and a flexible schedule tailored to your dog’s routine. Whether your pup needs long, active walks or a slower, more relaxed pace, I adjust my care to meet their individual needs! Having recently moved to New England, I genuinely enjoy getting outside and exploring new areas, so I can make each walk both enriching and engaging for your dog as we explore, while ensuring they feel safe, exercised, and well cared for. I work from home full time and my dog is lucky enough to have multiple walks to the dog park each day. I would be able to provide a similar time commitment for your pets as my work is flexible and my fiancé can care for our dog if I need to give yours some one-on-one time :) We live in a cozy apartment near an off leash dog park. Because of this I am used to going on many walks a day, but am also comfortable with playing in yards, or making it fun and enriching inside as well! My favorite thing to do for my dog when we are stuck inside on a rainy day is empty out his whole toy bucket and let him go crazy!
“Kiley is the absolute best! I was nervous about leaving my new pup for the first time but her care put me totally at ease. She is an excellent communicator and has a natural skill with dogs. I couldn’t be more impressed!”

“Our dog was so tired and content by the end of their day with Enzo and Enzo's dog. Adorable picture of them playing/hanging out outside. Communication was super easy and prompt, we felt really comfortable with our pup being in their care, and would recommend them to watch anybody's fur baby!!”

“Great experience with Karen! Daisy has done two days of day care with Karen and each one has been wonderful. Daisy played with other dogs and was happy and relaxed each time we picked her up. Karen clearly loves dogs and knows how to look after them. Will definitely ask to book again!”

“Sadie and Szymon did a phenomenal job with my Otter! They went on a long walk, and Otter got to play with their dogs in their beautiful yard! They treated Otter like one of their own, and I highly recommend them!”

“This was Nova's second visit with Martha and it couldn't have gone better. She took great care with her, took her on lots of long walks and gave her a bath and brushed her. I don't think Nova has ever looked so good. Much better than the professional groomers. In the future I might just leave Nova with Martha for the day just for her great grooming skills. Martha is caring and Nova really warmed to her. I would highly recommend her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 418 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Rye. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rye commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
